Hey guys,

First time painting a vehicle and those large flat surfaces are doing me in. While touching up some of the black primer on my leman russ, I've noticed that several areas I've gone over with abaddon black have emerged looking somewhat patchy, certainly noticeably different from the surrounding areas of primer. Does anyone have any idea of what may have caused this? Am sure I shook and thinned my paints appropriately.

Have attached an image.

Near Jupiter.

I know what you mean. I think personally its because you need more coats, atleast that fixed some of my issues with flat surfaces.

It might be thatvyour primer is a different black to.Abbadon black. Check this post for Talizar's example of drybrushing abandon black over something else and it looking substantially different
