Impressive. Most impressive.

As someone in the process of putting together an Adeptus Mechanicus army (thanks to these guys), this gives me a lot of inspiration.

Yup, gotta love the micro art studios stuff...

Putting together my Soul Forge army at the moment... ahead of this weekends Tempus Fugitives event up at Warhammer World... once I've got them painted, based up.. I'll try and get some pictures up on here..

If anyone frequents the TF board, I'm Anateus on there..

Please do. I'd be interested to see what they look like.

Right now I'm converting Praetorian Battle Servitors. Having lots of spare Sentinel Chainsaws and Heavy Weapons makes it easier.

and here I was updating that codex for myself this week!

will look over and comment on changes, my biggest complaint was all the redundent units, confusing names/organization, and every unit having armor+feel no pain seemed overpowered (in mine they just got FNP and needed cover to be as resiliant)

That DarkMech. codex makes me slightly more cheerful. Hmm, let's see what we can do with Necrons, High Elves, and a mind that's been questioned
probably more than the number of days I've been alive.

Also, The Chork Narghis joke made me giggle slightly.

Hmmm the AdMech list I think suffers from a bit of "kitchen sink"... as in everything and the...

I generally think the biggest shortfall of fan made dex's are they try to do too much. First let me say 0-1 options are so 2001... what the point now a days. The 0-1 is just in there to artificially insert internal AdMech distinctions that just aren't necessary.

There are different interpretations of the Adetpus Mechanicus, but that doesn't mean they'd use the entire vehicle aresenal of the Imperium, there should be clear preferences towards their experimental and rare tech, not just a mix and match of weapons. In attempt to cover "everything," I think this list covers nothing. Its seemingly aimless in its approach. The AdMech don't generally go around on their own, the majority of the time when they see combat they are acting in a support role utilizing specialized equipment, or they are supporting a Tech Magos' exploratory mission on a hostile world.

I'm not saying that its the only way they work, but its a big one and it isn't characterized by this codex. So overall, thumbs down.

I can see what you mean with the admech list, there are plans afoot to revamp it majorly, making it more fitting to the admech and with less standard imperial tech in it. The problem being we were too close to one of our events to change it without messing up a number of players who had already built forces around it!

Any ideas, units etc that anyone feels may add to the feel, please feel free to add then here and we'll see what we can do!

is it still possible to get the earlier rule sets?

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

At a quick skim the ad-mech codex looks really very good. As someone said however it may be over-powered and a bit 'kitchen sink', but it does look like a very good codex with great detail, background and customisation.
If anything I believe fan-dexes should be under-powered however; what you get in customisation you lose a little in power.

Even so, very good work!

I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

These are really cool reads, though any AdMech armies are far off for me.

I was reading the TGS Imperial Edition and didn't understand the 1+ armor saves for the primarchs. I know it was pointed out that a 1 always fails, so what's the difference from a 2+ save?

Try this one!

1+ save means ap 2 weapons don't negate the primarch's save!

As to the previous packs, they'll be made available at a later date as a complete compilation of all four events combined, available only from the tempus fugitives site, potentially as a hard copy.

I'm one of the team, and I'll pass it onto the others !

More campaign's to come next year, March brings our Warhammer event, which I believe will be based around the time of the three Emperor's (so lots of empire infighting, plus chaos and others pitching in during the upheavel).. May brings our next 40k event, which is being discussed at the moment, but will be moving to a later period than the Heresy.. we're looking at Armageddon (1-3) or The Age of Apostasy.... or something equally cool...

I for one am looking forward to not having my Soul Forge army being eaten alive by Primarch's... dang their nasty !!

I've updated the links to the packs above, so they should all work now...

The TF site is due to be taken down soon, maintenance and general update, new tech and overall overhaul, so grab them while you can !

The Great Crusade are awesome, we had quite a turn out from their ranks at the campaign.. I was playing side by side with the Dark Mech player from there, Whitehorn, and together we crushed are enemies, saw them broken before us, and heard the lamentation of their women...

I'd like to hear from you, Vindicare101, how this weekend tournament went off and how much one would be expected to bring, etc, etc... We're looking to hold a large, 2-day campaign-stye event in our gaming group and we all loved these and would probably enjoy using them to run our own weekend blast!
