Looks good to me! I like the Orky character to it you have captured well.

Been a while since you posted any work Cam, Gratuitous bump ensues! Hope all is well.

Well, Shas I guess you are right, been too long.

RL still not straight, but a little R&R today so time to have some fun.

So Gitsplitta asked me to make a Waaagh tower. Posted these pics in the gallery a while back.....





Got some bits to add yet, mainly cabling. Also some personnel.

Working on that and a little other project on the side. Can't get up to much as space is limited, and most of my gear is packed away.

That's all I got for a minute. Give you an update later after I have had some fun.

now this is a real joy to see you appearing here creative and productive again! been indeed way too long...(tho...i am not really in the position to say so at all...)

that tower looks cute! the moonface made from grey stuff? brilliant sculpt!

i see lots of protential for freehanding banners here...
my only question concerning the tower is...how did you do the tubes of the speakers?... cones are not an easy task...^^

well... i hope you´re reloading your batteries as much as can be! and that RL will hopefully be better soonish!

I hope RL is not getting you down, as they said in Galaxy Quest, 'Never give in, never surrender!" I find it simple yet effective when dealing with the Veterans' Administration or other such bodies who wish I would just go away.

shaso... that is the very system of any health care or social wellfare... they all want us dead the minute we reach the age when fulfilling their debts on us would be about to get cashed in by us.... i swear... if it wouldn´t be too loud and against the law... sometimes i fear they would hunt the eldery down.../sarcasm off...

First up a pic of my little piece of work for today.


These will be scenery scale iconography. Have an idea that will come to pass over the next few, these will be the masters for moulds.

Also gathered some pieces together, my thinking is to add a "DJ" in the centre of the stand of the tower.



@ Vik Thank you sir, nice to see you postinng again at least. Designed to give Gits as much freedom to express himself as possible. The "Speakers" I heated up a tube and pushed it on to a former. The former was one of those card/paper smudge sticks for sketching, I use it regularly during sculpting. Seemed to work well. And yes that is one of the many pieces I molded for my blimp. Just happens to be the size Gitsplitta asked me to make the base.

@ Shas Thank you. And I try and roll with the philosophy of "dont let the bastards get you down!!" Works most of the time, but RL is just pretty full on at the moment, I just could do with a couple things falling into place and I will be ok, but as always life aint that kind.

whoa....these sculpts looks very cool... very crisp too...i knew you worked as a confectioner...but on that scale your sculpting is as sweet as candy too^^

and mind to take a pic of said former?...i can´t picture it for myself...but the effect was very good too... straight t the point recognizable...
and i love the DJ idea... that´d be a cool idea! i probably would choose the grt as DJ for comic relief...but guess the gorka morka ork would do too...

Yeah, I hear you on that one! The Veterans Admin needs to pony up as they gave me no rad badges in Germany. (And I worked with the oldest and less safe most potent yield warheads back then.)

Well I have a problem....

Been wanting to back the Maelstroms Edge Kickstarter. both because its great looking models and it is the Dakka boys done good.

Bloody can't.......I don't have a bloody credit card. Only found out today. was all set, pay day. Go on pay for the boxset. BOOOM!!!!! requires a credit card. Can't tell you how bummed out I am, was really looking forward to that. And was hoping to get in on Bones III soon also. I guess they are all credit card paymnets? What the hell is wrong with Paypal people?

Funny really....no Plastic get's yiou NO PLASTIC!

I think you can set up Amazon Payments to draw from a bank account similar to Paypal. I'm also pretty sure you can use AP for Kickstarters.

Debit card with a credit card logo ought to work. No pay-pal, odd

The good news is the wonderful Gitsplitta has offered to help me out, so we have made arrangements and I sould be able to get my plastic crack fix come December ish. Which wil probably work out ok in the end.

i have learned that the hard way too when col. gravis and zinge did their kickstarter... sadly i wont ever own a credit card... well...

Hmmm, if nothing else you could explore the ( probably crazy expensive with fees) option of pre-paid credit cards and debit cards.

I started a spreadsheet of all the minis I own that I want/need to paint. Ahem. I won't be buying anything new for, oh shall we say, a while. ( It's ~250 minis, but 20+ are alread done. Some progress. When half are painted, I'll think about maybe getting something new)

I guess I ought to do that while I have the opportunity whilst packing. Scares me a bit though.
