That's an interesting way to prime a miniature.

I'd rather have No grill then an ugly one. Grills are tough to get right.

Since the model is supposed to be reminiscent of a German 251 from WW2, the flat panel is a deliberate design choice.

Having said that, perhaps an optional plate to go over the front with some grillwork (with OPTIONAL PIECE) plastered all over the instructions might be the way to go in order to keep everyone satisfied.?

I think that'd be a great idea.

Still going to use that spot for my Eisenkern to scrawl snarky taunts at their enemies, though.

Nod. I liked them a lot but ran out of cash with 4 big mecha and 6 small ones plus a pile of arms, heavies, assaulters and girls. No money left for troopers or APCs at the time..

I think a lot of people were in this position... I made the opposite choice, no mecha (since I already have his resin ones) but lots of troopers and APCs

Hi David, welcome to Dakka!
Great work as usual....

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

Or any of Wave 3's stuff, for that matter...

Mark, it's a good thing my fiancee will need me full time to mind the store, otherwise I'd have probably griped about Wave 3's delay.

So I'm painting up a pair of Crusaders for my adeptus custodes army, I want to give them a sort of tunic to hang down between the legs so they match the regular pattern of the armor, would you guys suggest doing a giant chunk of green stuff, which would likely cause some balance issues, or do you think with the size of the model I could get away with using an actual piece of cloth?

Real cloth won't hang right. It'll either be far too stiff and thick (for scale), or it'll be ridiculously light and will look like there's no weight to it.

Perhaps one of the thinner weights of sheet styrene, cut to the proper shape and then heated to make it pliable enough to form by hand?

Heavy foil works, but you have to be careful with it as it will always bend. Sheet styrene might work, but its difficult to get it mailable enough to bend and hang like fabric. IF you have the chops greenstuff is probably your best bet.

I will vote for the plasticard and a heat-gun. Take the thinner one, it heats up fast, and use sculpting tools to smooth it into shape.

Even better, if you can make "proxy legs" using wooden dowels, you could shape it to make sure it'll fit, without heating the actual Leviathan.

Find gauze with a suitable pattern and soak in diluted white glue. Hang and let dry.

this seems like the option I will most likely go with as the needed skill level to make it work is in line with what I can do!

Anyone know where we can get blank round lip bases that are similar in size to the one with the shadokesh model? I want to base my mules in a similar fasion to my troops.

Oh lord I am kicking myself so hard for not getting those APC's now.

That is insane.

Have we gotten any more renders of the Black Widows? I've been trying to keep up but I'm like 8 pages behind and haven't found anything yet.

Rules have not been started but I am in contact with some help on that end... The CAD modeling for the opposing force is underway as well as a few more items for Eisenkern, so we can round out the offerings.

I really, really want a Dreamforge tank. Perfect would be a Protectorate tank (I like Soviet armor) even better if it had treads not hover/grav. However, if I had to take a German hover/grav tank I wouldnt complain, as Im sure it would be awesome.

Whats my game?
Warmachine (Cygnar)
10/15mm mecha
Song of Blades & Heroes
Blackwater Gulch
X wing
Open to other games too
