Free shipping is disabled for the sale. Per site.

I just really wanna know when the 15 mm Mortis and arms are gonna drop? I need em!

There is a word for a wargamer with an empty paint bench.

Mark had said q2 of THIS year. That should be all the waves, but he's being like GW with showing previews.

I saw that and it made me a sand panda.

Hopefully shipping won't be too much on everything I end up getting.

Considering it's about a $35 savings right off the top for a single Leviathan... including shipping shouldn't break the bank.

The boxes are big for the 28mm versions, but won't be hella expensive.

I was halfway through writing a post about how tempting that sale was when I just gave in and bought the 15mm fella. Far too good a deal to pass up!

What's a "sand panda"? Does it bury it's head like an ostrich? Sorry couldn't resist.

Sand pandas are an off shoot of drop bears that evolved in the sandy wastes of the Gibson Desert, rather than the more lush eucalyptus forests. They don't drop from above, but rather launch from the sand underneath with a terrifying blood curdling cry of nerd rage.

It's like everything in Australia is trying to kill you. Sad really.

Indeed, Australia is the closest thing we have to a hostile alien environment here on this marble. Everything that walks, fly's swims or craws is out to kill you...

In the anime Kyo Kara Maoh, there are Sand Pandas that are basiclly this.. just a Panda version of Sand Lions. Wish I could find a gif or something :/

I watched that anime years ago Cyporiean but ... actually that does ring a bell vaguely. Don't make me re-dl and watch the whole thing again... kono yarou!

Haven't seen that one before Mark, very nice hahaha. Best one I've seen I think!

edit: Vic has done an Australian world in her "universe", Van Diemens Land iirc. Do you plan on amusing homages to real world things in the Eisenkern setting Mark, or are you aiming more for straight up, serious sci-fi?

I saw a wild Koala when I was in the bush on Tuesday. You don't really get to see them that often. It was cool. True story.

Mark dreamforge needs a new slogan

"Bigger, more poseable, cheaper!" It may sound slutty, but it's all true. I forget how many pieces are in the crusader kit, but I think you have them there as well. I'd check but I'm at work.

Sand Panda Approved.

Sand Panda is sad at the lack of not special weapons in the stormtrooper kits though (something that could be a psycannon would rock)

Anyone notice that the GW site gives the height of the Knights as 8"?

Suddenly, the 8.5" tall Levis are looking like a suberb stand in again.

I think GW is not posting the correct information... based on the base size and this, I think the website is incorrect.

GW posting incorrect information? Say it ain't so! It could be 8" with the chainsword raised above it's head in a sign of submission before the Leviathan. I imagine that's how they came to the number.

edit: It just clicked. The Leviathan sale is a direct attack on GWs release of the Knight right? Sorry if I'm slow for just catching on hahaha.

More like that the Leviathans have lit a fire under GW's butt and they are counter attacking with the knights release

"Your mumblings are awakening the sleeping Dragon, be wary when meddling the affairs of Dragons, for thou art tasty and go good with either ketchup or chocolate. "
Dragons fear nothing, if it acts up, we breath magic fire that turns them into marshmallow peeps. We leaguers only cry rivets!

Oh for sure. Leviathan prompted the Knight. Then the Knight prompted a sale on leviathans to capture as much of the "omgz knight!" market as possible ; p I just hope it's widely publicised enough to get as many sales as possible. I *do* like the knight... I just hate GW and want them to suffer ; p

I got my Leviathan from a source that discounted the cost, so paid 90dollars for it, the savings went to a capacitor cooler and left gatling gun arm. I am planning to get other weapon arms for it, maybe another leviathan. still far cheaper at 120bucks than GW making their limited weapon expansion Knight at 140usd start price. Crusader looks sharper with old stacks or cooler capacitors and that we can put claws/rippers/swords on the leviathans and change cannons is tops over the Knight which will likely force you to pick the 2 shot cannon, or the melta weapon. and all you get is the one close combat weapon. so, 140bucks and very limited options versus many weapon options and crisper looking mecha which comes cheaper by far

Yeah 100% agree, I love my Crusader and Mortis - even though I haven't built them yet ; p

Pure awesome: Just got the Wayland email announcing the knight. Empty box art due to GW policy... followed by awesome pictures of leviathans and links to their product pages ; ) Also with this line "A perfect alternative for the Imperial Knight," and this for the Mortis: "You can take up to six Imperial Knights in a single Primary Detachment making them an army in their own right! Chaos players needn’t miss out either with the Leviathan Mortis"

Link to online version.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I dunno if there's really a need for wang-measuring in this discussion. I bought 3 Levis, 3 Mortii, 3 small Levis and (hopefully soon!) 2 small Mortii. Next up will be 3 Imperial Knights.

Yes, my collection has room for all of them. Not sure about that Khornemower yet, though...

The only room for the khornemower is if it's used as bitz, or its torso is mounted on leviathan legs. Even then... paying for something like that... don't know if it's possible : ( Ideally you'd win one. Then your conscience would be fine.

Yeah thought it was both hilarious AND awesome. Good Guy Wayland taking subtle digs at GW when they can ; ) I just read the text of the knight and compared it to the leviathans. The knight was written by a German who hasn't had his morning coffee. The Leviathan was written by an avid wargamer/marketing guy:

Knight: "Equip your Knight Paladin with a rapid fire battle cannon or a turn it into a Knight Errant armed with a tank busting thermal cannon."
Leviathan: "Towering over the battlefield, Leviathan Crusaders are the pinnacle of battlefield warfare. "
Vulkan Cannon: "The mighty Vulkcan Cannon is a six barrelled rotary cannon capable of an astonishing rate of fire, pulverising whatever stands in the way."

I owe them a pint or at least a phone call... I know why they did it, with the BOW-Wayland-GW issues but I am pleased they did it none the less
