More sketches can be found in my Dakka blog thread. Also, there may be a kickstarter with a cheap buy in and absolutely outrageous delays in the near-to-far future. But in the mean time, here is another conversion I've planned out using Star Wars Command minis to make my Eisenkern fit into 40k just a little bit easier.

I'll pass. It doesn't match the more realistic scifi styling the current stuff has and matches (unsurprisingly) more of the senseless scribbles that Blanche is known for over on 40k.

That's an amazing compliment since that's what I was going for. Thanks!

That an the Star Wars Stormtrooper helmet is just too much. I really can't tell if that is a parody of a bunch of that other stuff (including the toughest girls) though.

It is based on an idea I had to turn my kid's Star Wars toys into tabletop miniatures based on the time-tested Dreamforge formula of taking something from Star Wars and grimdarking the feth out of it. So, it could someday be a crappy mini, too.

Runnin up on ya.

It's funny that this thread has become more populated with sketches than actual pics of product or updates. Funny sketches though. How about sketch of Black Widows with "Coming soon....ish" and all of them are geriatric.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

It's hard to parody something like Dreamforge directly. The product is WW2 (I know, I know) Germans in Spaaaaace with Star Wars face plates and 40k shoulder pads, which is already hilarious.

However, I do have a nice sketch of the real villain of the thread in the works.

Spoiler:
Chinese New Year.

Mark's silence is worrying, at least he could post other wip stuff, like his ideas on the non human factions and armored suits, the Leviathans are huge! We need smaller walkers like the afterlife Goliath or GW's centurion/dreadnaughts.

Okay then. I hope to have them up by the end of the week. But as this is the Dreamforge thread, we'll just have to see.

I sure hope no one says, "不要."

So has there been any updates on the Black Widows? Digging through the past few pages I can't find anything.

Been trying to find info, but there's a lot of posts to sift through.

Yup, that's the sound of tumbleweed.

So far I've been patient with Mark due to the quality of his product, but feeding his OCD may not be the right thing to do. I can understand that he may feel that any time spent here telling us there is nothing concrete to report may be taking him away from actually progressing something - be that work on wave 3 or work on stuff beyond that - but we are all chomping at the bit here, throw us a bone, Mark!

Even though wave 3 has currently been delayed more than the PB RRT Fiasco, I am less worried about this due to the quality and frequency of Mark's communication - well, up to now at least. If Mark ends up with PB's Unicorn farted rainbow standard of communication, or even just no communication for much longer, then he will start to loose some of the respect he has spent so much effort generating up to now.

And yes, I get the fact that you can have it cheap, you can have it quick, and you can have it of good quality - but you can only choose 2! Mark, on our behalf, chose to give it to us with great quality and cheap, so we don't really have an expectation of getting it quick. Even so, it would be great to have wave 3 in our hands by now and some more news would be appropriate.

All I saw at the online FB store was 0.00 priced box art for the 3 Valkir sets and the Keilerkopf, so if anything is in by end of this year it would be those I predict. Black Widows we may have to wait for.

It's all going to wait. China says I'll ship it all at once, so nothing till it's all ready. No updates either, all we have are sketches by bobtheinquisitor, which are actually very nice.

Not only has the boat been missed on capitalizing on gw's "goodwill" to its customers, but now infinity seems to be replacing the gap of replacement sci fi mini game figures. Million dollar ideas are only good if you can get them to market quickly enough. I'm afraid inflation has caught up to mark and now it may only yield $100,000 , next years inflation may drop it even further.

The APC should have been launched at the same time as the Taurox release, or as close as possible. I'm not sure if it would have worked out financially, but it seems possible that WGF could have shipped them to backers as a special shipment just so they could make $$$ and offset the additional shipping through the sales to non KS people.

People are buying three Tauroxes, THEN three conversion kits at $18 a pop from Victoria Lamb just to have a cool APC.

The 15mm leviathans have been completed as well. How much money has been lost by not shipping what's there.

Tinfoil hat time: could WGF be trying to steal these designs from Mark? I mean not releasing other items that are done that could be making money and returning revenue to them is beyond GW stupid. I don't know the details of the deal Mark had with WGF, but what if they have a "you must pay back the loan we floated you by xxxxxxxx date or forfeit the designs to us" clause. Wouldn't be the first time.....just ask Tony Reidy . Total joke, but STILL no word from Mark, he sometimes pops in after things like this pop up so maybe this will bring him out.

Extremely unlikely based on conversations I've had with the USA branch. The people I interact with want the Indians and other two unannounced AWI kits out ASAP- and those are projects WGF already owns and are being delayed along with the KS projects. I totally thought that the Indians would be out by GenCon. If the sprues were done I'm sure I'd be painting them up now.

Tony Reidy is clearly a bad businessperson, and all available evidence shows he's a thief and fraud too... not the best example

I think you're right about that. I'm sure some people will pass on them for size reasons, some for style, some because they're not 'official'.

Back from the kickstarter conversations the size of the APC was more akin to the size of a landraider. I think a half inch longer but just a tad narrower. So yes they dwarf a rhino and chimera. But they can actually fit a squadron inside.

HOL never really was intended to be a real game, it's just a giant book of spoofs, but it had a supplement, Buttery HOLsomeness, which was supposed to actually contain a character creation mechanism. It had everything. A Diaper Swamp, Sodomy Bikers, a trash workers' union, wastits and wastems, and the whole thing was handwritten. The art style is very "you." And it was needlessly complicated to make everyone giggle. Weapons had a Damage stat, but it was multiplied by the Anguish Factor that the weapon caused. (from 1 to 20, 1 was stapling your finger, 20 was un-protected re-entry into the atmosphere)

I have 6 of the "bricks" APCs and based on the image, not quite so big as a Landraider, but a true scale landraider would be the size of a note-book page 8.5 x 11"

But I like the size shown here Brick is about the same size as chimera and Rhino

After a long hiatus, I am finally ready to post design sketches for an Eisenkern op-for army. These are not intended to replace the official Shadokesh models that may someday hit the market, but I did try to base the designs on real bits from real minis that I could buy right now if only I wasn't so broke. (There will be at least two more sketches next week some time, unless some loose-cannon mod puts a stop to this.)
Please support the official release.

Well, if we can't talk about actual models, at least Bob's here to keep us somewhat interested in anything that's probably, eventually going to be available to purchase.
