And seems I forgot to post this:

Aquila Strongpoint, Firestorm Redoubt and Vengeance Weapon Battery could be the 3 new apoc terrain pieces...

Access via allies sounds a bit pointless in bring your whole collection aka ApoC...

Race specific Terrain however

The 3 Wall o' dead Cadians expansions i'll think about, along those 'liths.

Access via Allies.....

I thought the entire point of Apoc was to bring everything you have and who cares about if they are Allies or not.

Something is happening on the 24th, we sent you a poster.

With them being so close to the release I'm surprised GW didn't hold back the riptide and wraithknight models for this release. Only publish the rules for them in the apoc book (legal for regular 40k) and try and leverage people into buying the apoc book even if they didn't want to play apoc. Plus more large units would have made a bigger impact for the release, really make it an of the moment feeling for players to all get onto the big game band wagon. Instead if there is only going to be two large models and some imperial scenery (going off what has been revealed so far) then I think there might well be much less impetuous for the community to support it.

The models would sell better under standard 40k rules. Look at the ADL and Skyshield.

The point is to make the rules the same as have been published already you just change which book they are available in. Gw have started moving back to the dual book format as seen with the iyanden expansion. This seemed like it would have been a logical progression.

So this new rumor with super-heavies implies that new super-heavies will be released, and all factions will get one or have the ability to ally with a faction that gets one. It also seems to imply that the old Stompa and IGTanks aren't being counted.

Khornemower:
* Chaos Marines
* Daemons
* Dark Eldar
* Imperial Guard
* Necrons
* Orks
* Tau

Supermonolith:
* Necrons
* Black/Red/Green/Grey/Vanilla Marines
* Chaos Marines
* Grey Knights
* Imperial Guard
* Orks
* Sisters
* Tau

That leaves Tyranids and Eldar remaining (coincidentally my two armies). Tyranids cannot ally with anyone, so this rumor is stating they'll be getting a model. Eldar remain, so they'll either be getting a model or any other army will be getting a model.

It's amusing to note that the allies matrix states that the 'cannot ally' trait is called "Come The Apocalypse".

That'd be hilariously money-grubbing.

Apoc Rule:
"Tyranids, with their tendency towards large monsters, can be taken as Battle Brothers with any other army so long as you field at least three large-oval-base models (costing >$60). Games Workshop thanks you for your patronage."

Following your logic, GW would make even more sales by publishing the rules twice and releasing the models earlier. *Shrug*.

Hm. 'Nids have traditionally had a fair amount of Apoc-only releases in the past, although looking at the FW page now a whole bunch of the older sculpts are gone, but things like the Hierophant and Hierodule as well as Harridan are still around. Chances are they'll get a Bio-titan again. I suspect Eldar will either get a new flyer or super-heavy tank, given that they already have two Titans in the Revenant and Phantom (putting them on the same level as the Imperials). That being said, Eldar have almost as many flyers and super-heavy tanks as IG do, so in hindsight I'm wondering if we'll get a larger, Avatar-esque MC instead. Who knows?

This certainly appears to buttress my opinion that the Khornmower with Skulldozer and Pokilith are the only two units likely to be released next month.

Don't know which models are gone from the Tyranid page, but the Harridan is listed as "Out Of Stock"...

I just made a realization about this after reading this on Faeit 212:

The Firestorm Redoubt - The Firestorm is an Eldar Anti-Air Falcon variant. Could the Firestorm Redoubt be an Eldar terrain piece with a Firestorm AA emplacement?

*ahem*

"Wall of Martyrs scenery range"

Distinctly Imperial. Less Eldar. More dead Cadians.

Ah, damn. You're right.

Although, going to GW's site now, I don't see any mention of those pieces in the text for the Imperial Bunker.

The harridan, I'm assuming, is just waiting on a restock. There's no reason to pull it unless GW have decided to do a plastic 40k model (very unlikely, as GW have actually said they're not doing that anymore).

The models that disappeared from the FW catalogue were the Hive Tyrants, because as they said, they were alternate sculpts of the 3rd edition design, and GW have moved away from that look.
