Blimey, nearly 200 usd for the tesseract vault? What is it made out of, gold?

I mean, it's the same size as a normal monolith, by the looks of it...

See, to me it looks a good deal bigger than a Monolith, but we ought to get a better idea with further leaks and/or official release of info.

Hmm, with that change to the Baneblade/Stormsword box and obvious price increase I may have to get a Stormblade from FW sooner than later.

OK, so the rules, plus dice and cards and all the templates are going to cost $160?

<cough>

Ouch. Hopefully that's not all necessary to play. That's a little obscene.

Does everyone out there calling for a GW Knight titan, know about Dream Forge Games? They sell an AMAZING kit that would fit what you want perfectly. Oh and it retails for only about $120 USD.

I'm just getting a vault because I like the looks of it. I mean, there's a star god chained up to some diabolical contraption, surrounded by pillars of technological eldritch design.

I'm getting two because I play Necrons and want one of each type.

I play 2-3 apoc games a year, at least 12k per side.

I can't wait to get the book. Not sure I need the rest, though.

Yep, same boat. Probably going to wait a month or so, though. By then, I hope to have new income coming my way.

With any luck the templates will just be fancy pants versions of the old giant green ones. And the Vortex Template makes its return. That's nice.

Aquila Strongpoint sure ain't cheap though. I wonder what it is. Where are the damned pics?

Tbh whenever is a Baneblade a necessary purchase, you get them because they look cool, and a couple is even better. Hell my previous Guard army from about seven years ago, my Baneblade was used once, but was one of the first tanks fully painted. Loved it in the cabinet with the rest of my army, it really didn't need to be used I just liked having one there.

Heck jump forward to now and I have a Baneblade, Stormlord and my Orks have two stompas. Gotta love big 40K models.

All of a sudden, it looks like a good time to get a Baneblade before they are forever out of my reach. There is one gathering dust at my FLGS. 170$ for that kit is just brutal. They know we're at parity, right?

I do actually appreciate some of the plastic combo kits that have been released.

If you consider having ALL the bits needed to build any and all baneblade/shadowsword variants in one box, the $25 increase is 'relatively' small price. I mean hell, GW charges that just for the separate sponson sprues.

But, if I wanted to field one of each, you are now paying $50 more to do so.

Also, I do find the total price simply to play apocalypse a bit ridiculous. $160 for all the bits and bobs just to play the game (assuming all that stuff is required)

And the APOC book better be a helluva lot better and bigger than the last one for that price tag.

Strangely enough they all fit in one big box. My other three super heavies (3 Macharius'... Macharii?) go in a different box with one of my Crusaders.

And once you've finished getting yourself a healthy Super Heavy Regiment, you need to next get three full Armoured Companyes and 12 Chimeras! And then an Artillery Company. And then two Sentinel Recon Companies. And then two squadron of 3 Valkyries.

And I have too much Guard stuff...

I didn't see any mention of the Stompa in that price list. Are there any rumours regarding a re-package for that? There aren't any variants for it outside of forgeworld, so I can't see them pulling Baneblade levels of price increasing craziness, but I'm still worried.
