I'm not as cash loose as I'd normally be, so for this month, I have to focus on just the limited stuff.

It's just as well, since the Necron SHV and the terrain would just be going into storage until their turn in the paint queue comes up.

The collector's edition actually looks pretty cool.

I agree, and that's probably the first time I've ever said that about GW's "here's an expensive dust jacket" collector's editions.

All this stuff goes up for pre-order tomorrow, right?

Direct only hmm? Yup, definitely not interested now.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

Looks like the gamer, and collectors are, the normal one is still in stores.

Well that’s hardly surprising.

IIRC, that was the case with the 6th edition rulebook release as well, so no surprise there.

Yeah but I don't think the CE or GE was $300

Well if the gamers edition includes-
book
templates
dice
cards
case

$250 seems fairly decent. That would mean they are only charging about $100 for that case.

I don't think it does. I think it is the book and the case. Which presumably comes with foam. I could be wrong. We will know in 22 hours.

It is just the case and the rule book for $250. So the case is 175.75 and the book is 74.25 (296 page hard cover). Expensive no doubt, but maybe not entirely too expensive.

The collector's stuff is just in the collector's edition.

The more I see of the Khornemower, the more I like it (or parts of it).

I wonder if anyone (especially comversion maniacs like myself) would be interested in going halvsies on it - like, one person gets the bottom to make a nasty counts-as Baneblade for their traitor IG Blood Pact dudes, and the other person gets the top to convert a mini/scout Titan...

I too was thinking of this. The scale looks close enough that you could use the legs from a Dreamforge Leviathan kit and mount the top half of the Khornemower on it to make a Khorne titan. It's relly not that expensive either.

Tell you what. If you want to go half/half with me, I'll take the top half.

I'd never check a model case alone, that'd be expensive and unsafe. I'd pack it inside my regular luggage.

Pack it well and send it to your hotel via FedEx. Notify the hotel that it is coming and ask them to hold it for you.

Gamer's Edition (200€) is standard Apocalypse rulebook plus special edition case (double standard army case).

Collector's edition (200€ as well) contains the material of the Apocalypse book split into several items making it look like Inquisitor Coteaz luggage box. Beside the box itself (looks like sturdy multilayer cardboard, designed) there is the green book with rules only, then a booklet "Warzone Pandorax" in secret file style ((Pandorax is DA, Grey Knights vs. CSM), single cardboard sheets for all Apocalypse data sheets with a blue cover to hold them it seems), cards with the strategems and a DM screen with all relevant info printed on the back. This is what I conclude from WD info.

Kroothawk, I think the Collectors Ed. also contains "Warzone Armageddon" (you can see a couple blurbs about it in the photos but no real details other than it has rules for the Third War for Armageddon). If you read the description of the Collectors ed in one of the photos (I think its Note #5 on one of the two page spreads) it mentions "Armageddon" as being in the contents in addition to Pandorax

I believe the Armageddon campaign is included in the regular Apocalypse book as well. The Collector's Edition rulebook is basically just split into several smaller books. The Pandorax campaign is currently collector's edition only, with a note that it will be available several months later for non-collectors.

Probably, along with the much reduced UK Games Day tickets. Lots-o-clicking this night.

I ask because, well, the pre-orders go up on Saturday. Saturday is a relative term. Saturday is 30 minutes away for those of us who live in the future (/spooky voice), and by that I mean Oz and it's already Saturday in NZ.

So when do pre-orders really go up.

The US should see this stuff up at about 7PM EDT. Those with digital WD subscriptions should be able to start their downloads then too.

It changes, HBMC. starting with 6th edition's release and going through the 40k codecies, I've seen new release stuff go up on Friday night at 6 PM (I live in Houston, Texas), and during the middle of the night when I slept, and on Saturday morning at ~7 AM.

However, it seems like the most frequent were Friday night at 6 PM. I think. Maybe.

You're an hour behind me, so yes, that makes sense for CDT.
