Probably because they’re prototypes, I would assume that production ones will be injection moulded plastic.

They make titan sized models for this line and still 0 Eldar.

It almost seems deliberate. are they afraid sweet fully posable aspects will outsell their chonkboi marines?

Standing 53cm high (that's over 20 inches if you're in America), you're going to need a bigger shelf for this awesome action figure.

I think it would have been better if they had just put a male penitent in there and dressed him appropriately in rags appropriate for a gothic horror space fantasy setting instead of modern day prison jumpsuit minus the flipflops.

The version with the male model assets has been out for a while. Other than that, not sure what to tell you since the entire line has been using pre-existing GW model assets since the beginning and that prisoner is 3d assets straight from the plastic model's sprue.

No clue, but the model has them, so the toy has to as well since they use the same digital asset files.

$180 (currently $162 preorder price) for a poseable fully painted 20cm action figure to a company that needs to pay a licensing fee to GW. Meanwhile, over on hobby side, models like the 17cm daemon primarch Angron unpainted and unassembled direct from GW with no middle men is $170. Hmmmm.....

Really puts GW prices into perspective.

But also, those Joytoy figures are essentially toys, and as such, they feel very overpriced. I would pay 100$ for Horus, definitely not 170$.

I don't know, but these seem like their own ready made Meme.

Great Prices though. Even cheaper then the boxed sets of GW.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

They're not "essentially" toys, they literally are toys. They're also fairly typical of licensed high end collectible figure prices.
