Given that the greatcoat guys are usually with gasmasks, does his head detach and do you have plans for a gasmask variant head? I also think his head would sell well, like the ork kommissars head would, if they were available separately.
How does the greatcoat officer scale vs the GW nob orks? Is he suitably larger than a standard boy?
The head is attached to the model and at this point we do not plan to make any modifications to it.
The officer is a bit bulkier than a regular orc- he looks like a proper leader, not weedy at all
Got mine about 2 weeks ago, but with the build up to Easter at work and being distracted by needing to take a whole lot of other photos, these pics got pushed back a little.
Size comparison with Ghazkull and a Kan:
Size comparison with a Marine and a Terminator:
All together now:
Note the Kromlech Base is slightly shorter than the GW ones. If you swap them to a GW 40mm round base, they'll look even bigger and more impressive when stood up next to their cousins.
Got my Ork in greatcoat today and he is one cool looking mini, some great detail on this model the power claw is friggin awesome and the shooter hands option was a great surprise
Also got a set of the Highland torso not bad although I do feel they could have done more with the set, there is plenty of uses for these within the IG units and will make some nice conversion options.
I also got a little something extra which was a very nice surprise, lets just say Ork fans looking for some senior staff will be happy indeed
Hey Guys,
Today, something for those of you, who like our Morbid Legionaries Legs. We are expanding the range by adding a set of Morbid Praetorians Legs to it. They will fit most bulkier armoured S-F soldiers.
6 pieces are included in each set.
Great pictures, thanks! As a new ork player(who currently only owns boyz), I had NO idea that killa kanz were so huge either. That would have been a very pleasant surprise! I'm hoping at some point to get 6 of the Kromlech juggernauts, so seeing comparison pics helps a lot.
Thanks Mr.Grey. I've got more Kromlech stuff (power armoured legs) due any day now, and those not-terminator legs look like they have some real potential!

Check out this green git chilling his elbow and making sure that if by any chance someone does not hear the engine of his plane, they will notice the bang of the mortar shell exploding on their head.
We are happy to announce the release of our third orcish vehicle kit- the "Spitfire" Assault Speeder.
Hey Kromlech, just wondering whether the Mega Armor takes normal GW Ork Heads and/or you guys' other Orc heads. Would it require a bit of filing/messing with to get it to work?
Darth Bob wrote: Hey Kromlech, just wondering whether the Mega Armor takes normal GW Ork Heads and/or you guys' other Orc heads. Would it require a bit of filing/messing with to get it to work?
Hi,
We have not tried it, to be honest, but it should be possible with some fiddling required.
The supplied heads are cut to match the armours perfectly so anything else will require more or less modelling.
Darth Bob wrote: Hey Kromlech, just wondering whether the Mega Armor takes normal GW Ork Heads and/or you guys' other Orc heads. Would it require a bit of filing/messing with to get it to work?
I'll pop some pictures up of comparisons later.
Continuing my love affair with Kromlech's stuff; here's two of the Juggernaut arms and the Orc operator used for a looted Ultra Marine Dreadnought.
Darth Bob wrote: Hey Kromlech, just wondering whether the Mega Armor takes normal GW Ork Heads and/or you guys' other Orc heads. Would it require a bit of filing/messing with to get it to work?
So, below you can see one of the Kromlech mega armour suits I'm working on, with two of the Kromlech supplied heads, a random selection of GW heads and two puppets war heads for comparison.
Then we have the Kromlech head in place followed by the GW heads just dropped in.
As you can see they will go in nicely and, depending on the head you use, will take little or no modding.
Yeah, you may need to shave some chins to fit other heads in there. I like how the Kromlech heads have chin jobs to make them fit.
I actually am going to try to convert one of these into a fantasy-style goblin shredder mech. See if I can have a whole grot sit in the jaw area and operate it like it was a robot suit.
Heh. Thanks, I think. As good as the Mexicorc looks I'm leaning towards a helmeted Grot head. As shown above, I used two of the kromlech juggernaut arms on a looted dreadnought and am looking at making this juggernaut look crazy with the dreadnought arms bolted on to the massive body, with a teeny grot head sticking out the top.

Well, I might nick the mexicork idea then LOL I might have to put a poncho over the body mind

Yeah, the Gas Mask heads I got don't just fit in as I was hoping, but they will be an easy fix, as would subbing in Ork heads from other manufactuers with a bit of cutting and filing.

I got my new Kromlech order a few days ago. Fast turnaround and really nice casting. More, more legs. I needs to do some dryfits, take some photos and post them up soon.
Today we are releasing our new Sons of Thor Fur Cloaks with Backpacks.
The set contains 6 pieces- each of different design, which should fit most s-f armoured soldiers.
We are very happy to announce a release of yet another complete miniature.
Meet the Rotten Butcher's younger brother, the mighty Khoot'ach Plague Reaper.
Nice sculpt, and a very nice price on this guy as well. Perfect for a plague ogre/ogryn. I hope you guys make more of these. I'd certainly buy a set of 5 if they were all different.
An additional set of hands with "modern/sci-fi weapons" would totally take my money.

Kromlech you are making it very very hard to resist doing orks
If I ever did then yours are the only ones up to par.
The GW ones just I donno they just have never grabbed me.
I think it is the WW2 vibe that makes it work.
Are we ever going to see the Ameriorks?
An Ork Patton and crew with pot style helms work be the straw that broke the groxes back
Hey guys!
Today, we are (yet again) adding a new bits set to our existing Morbid range. This time, we're going for a set of 10 shoulder pads (two of each design), which should fit mostr s-f armoured soldier miniatures.
Those look great, as usual. I can't wait to see how your eventual Morbid Marines are going to look when you've released all of the parts. I'm guessing you have some torsos and heads planned, right?
Hi Barzam,
No plans for torsos yet, but I've seen some cool concept art for the heads lying around the studio some time ago, so keep an eye out for them.
Cheers,
Pawel
Hey guys,
Today, we are releasing a new version of an existing piece- our Zephyr Launcher. The purpose of it is still the same. Mount it on a vehicle or on the back of your heavy armoured s-f troopers and blast away at your foes as they crumble in balls of fire.
Pawel_Kromlech wrote: Hi Barzam,

You've definitely got my attention! I got my order of Morbid legs really fast by the way. The shoulder pad that was thrown in looks great, too.
Hey all,
We would like to introduce another update of an existing kit.
This time, the Savage Orc Torsos were remade and now include brand new designs and 6 unique pieces in each set. They will fit most 28mm orc models.
I'm sure this is out of place, but I just placed 2 small orders with Kromlech in the last 30 days.
They rival vic on quality and customer service(that's high praise, btw! ! )!!! They were both small,
but were treated with great speed and quality packaging. And the quality of the items are better than
I expected. No flash, minor mold lines. Great stuff!
If I were going to compare it to a TOTALLY RANDOM model manufacturer's line, say... ::randomly chooses a name from a magic bag:: Games Workshop/ForgeWorld...
Would this be sized closer to a Dred, MegaDred, Stompa or ::sgueals: bigger?
Thanks.
We're done with teasing and we are happy to announce, we are finally releasing our Clanking Destroyer. And boy, have we kept you waiting for him. Luckily, he is out now and hopefully up to your expectations.
Hi all,
We are happy to inform you that we are releasing another set of Legionaries legs to further allow you to customise your s-f soldiers.
The set contains 6 bits (two of each design) and they will fit most armoured 28mm s-f soldiers models.

possible uses for Orc Afrika Korps Legs:

- football (i.e. soccer to you Americans) theme, and of course Bloodbowl

My only complaint - only three poses?
The Hawaiian shirt idea was something I am thinking of doing as well along with the Afrika Korps of course

Made by our weaponaster Marcin "Majster" Szmyt.
I hope we manage to release them before christmas.
Two new packs hit the stores this weekend.
First pack contains 4 various Post-apocalyptic Crusher heavy arm attachments. Biggest Crusher has almost 2,5cm in length, smallest about 1,5cm. These crude beauties were designed by Marcin "Majster" Szmyt.
Inside second pack you'll find 16 Gems of various sizes (from 3mm to 1cm). Sculpted by Marek Rurarz.
The second set of Legionaries Bionic Legs is here!
You seem to be happy with the first set, so here is another one to add a bit of diversity.
Other poses will of course follow so that you can create your unique bionic army of SF Badass soldiers.
The set contains two pieces of each design.
I was just wondering if you have any plans on making some ork war 2 CCW, you know that look like imperial guard sabers and stuff i would buy those in a heart beat!
Hey all,
Our rotten family is growing bigger and bigger. Today, we would like to introduce you to Thi'gh'taar - Devourer of Flesh, Contagion Spreader. And that's just his first name! He's a 60mm monster, who will gladly lead your infested host into any battle (as long as it is 28mm heroic scale, of course).
This multipart kit was designed by Robert Kurek and painted by Artur.
Hope you enjoy,
Pawel
PS:
Looky Likey wrote:Any plans to make an even bigger mega armoured ork for the warboss? Just finished painting six of the mega amours orks and they need a leader now.
Yeah, there are some plans on a leader for the Juggernaughts, but it is still way to early to give you any reliable ETA on this dude.

Nah, just kiddin, we do them all the time, but you cannot have enough variety when it comes to crazy green skins. Therefore, today, we would like to present you our latest set: Orc Tommies Heads. The pack contains 10 British Orc Heads in Brodie helmets (2 of each design) that should fit most of 28mm orc miniatures.

Sorry guys, no chance for that this week. Artur is on holidays and will not be able to take any photos for the next few days.
I'll get back to you once we have a propper scale shot.
Straight from the ebay auction: which would make that a 40mm base. weapon swaps wise, I'd probably use mantic ogre arms. Come to think of it, some "arcane-ing" up of that belly and this dude might just make a fine sorcerer for that army. ...gah, ninja'ed by kromlech themselves
I've been doing chaos warriors for skirmish gaming and he'd be absolutely perfect as a chaos ogre chieften or a human mutated up to giant size. Fantastic miniature!
If you feel like tentacles and snot, I can point you towards certain animated movie websites... or... gladly announce that we are releasing a brand new miniature in the form of Morbid Spawn.
This multipart dude comes supplied with a 40mm base and is guarateed to scare your enemies as well as munch on random tabletop scenery.
Excellent spawn. But not multi-pose or otherwise customisable? Unless you do some other poses too, that limits sales - most gamers wouldn't want multiple identical models.
Been quite some time since we introduced you to an orc complete model, so I guess today is the day we fix this.
Behold, the one and only, brave, fat and not entirely competent - Orc Pilot!
Give this guy a round of applause! He will need all the cheering, as he does not know it yet, but there is dirty underwear in his backpack, not a parachute.
I gotta say Pawel... the pimply orks just kind of turn me off. Love the sculpts... but I don't think painting the pimples does anything positive for them.
Well yeah... I got that. My comment was directed more at the "we're going to give our new model a spectacular paint job to really show off how wonderful it looks" aspect. In which case, I think the pimples are more of a negative than a positive. That's just me though, obviously the people who matter in this instance (Kromolech) differ in their opinion.
Gitsplitta wrote: I gotta say Pawel... the pimply orks just kind of turn me off. Love the sculpts... but I don't think painting the pimples does anything positive for them.
I understand you well. Artur's paintjobs are quite distinct in their style and definitely might not appeal to everybody (though this is true to all art related stuff).
The pimples are probably not going anywhere, but we do appreciate all the comments on our stuff, so if anything bothers you- fire away!
I absolutely LOVE your orc models. I just finished painting my chirugeon and he makes me smile every time I look at him. If I could change one thing about your models, it would only be that more of them would be in my house.

We _know_ that you like our Stygian range. Therefore we could not miss and opportunity to expand on it even more.
Today, we proudly present a set of Stygian Praetorian Shoulder Pads.
The set contains 10 shoulder pads, which should fit more bulky sf armoured soldiers.
Birds of Prey are flying your way today - hey hey!
These will fit your bases or terrain pieces (or even some crazy dude's shoulder!).
The set contains 6 resin birds.

The wait is over. The Orc "Schmeisser" Greatcoat Squad is finally here and I have to admit, we are pretty happy with how it has turned out.
Inside, you will find 10 dudes packed with detail and flavor including a leader and an MG-42 gunner.
If that's not enough for you (and why it should be?), we have prepared a company deal of three squads for a reduced price.
This is our first full squad set, but we do promise - not the last!
Squidbot wrote: If these are the usual Kromlech standard I MUST HAVE.
Any plans to sell them individually, particularly the gunners?
Gunner and officer aside, the parts are pretty much already available in their shop.
I'm almost tempted to get the set though as its a better deal and generally less hassle. Buuuuut, I don't play orks and never have. Still, this is a pretty tempting set. I'm guessing we'll be seeing an Afrika Korps set soon as well.

I...buh...uh...my wallet...it cries...
I must have these. I have a couple Kromlech models already, but I think it's time to take the plunge to start a new Ork army using as much Kromlech as possible.
Technically, once again well done, but for my taste too much historical accuracy.
Besides that, it seems to me not very creative and just too clumsy to make Orks from a science fiction setting so humorless into a real historical reference.
Sure, Orks can do everything, but I'm afraid the issue WW2 Kromlech itself goes into a corner from which the company eventually no longer comes out.
But I will not give up the hope that something published that is more to my taste and puts a smile on my face.
I've been waiting for this deal all year that Orc company is mine thank you soooo much kromlech for more and some new Orc war 2 stuff love you guys!!!!!

Hi Tokkutai,
Many thanks for your feedback! The historical setting was here from the very beginning and I guess it defines the company in a way.
As you may know, we also cooperate with some great artists, who don't do WW2 orc designes.
We will always explore new areas and settings so that everyone can find something they like.
Currently, a lot of resources are being put into developing an entirely new orc range, but I probably cannot tell anymore at this point and therefore will shut up for now.
Cheers,
Pawel

The Flamer wielding Orc in Juggernaut Mecha Armour joins the fray today!
The kit contains the standard Mecha Armour badassness plus a brand new crusher claw and the guest of hounour of todays show - the flamer combined with an HMG.
I know a lot of you were waiting for this release, so hope you like it as much as we do.
There will be variations of the Schmeisser set including new special weapons and other basic weapon options, though I cannot confirm any specific combinations yet.
Today we are presenting a more orcy way of combat gas protection.
Not sure these gas masks would be certified by anyone in their right mind, but hey, the greenskins seem to be happy with them, so who are we to deny them the pleasure?
The set contains 10 orc heads in gasmasks which should fit any 28mm orc model.
Only problem is that they're very individual looking, and I hate to have 'repeats' in a squad - but there are only 5 variants, not enough for a large squad. :( But I realise that unless these sell well, you don't have much incentive to make another 5 variants...

About variants, there so much orks in market that one can make a army and never repeat a model. And I'm talking only of gasmasked orks!
Kromlech have quality stuff. Shame I don't collect orks.

This sale will take place from 29th of November 00:01 US PST until Sunday, 1st of December 23:59 US PST.

Just a quick question though. Will you restock your ''Kromlech Orc Juggernaut Mecha-Armour Squad (Orc War 2, ork)'', before you end your sale on the 1th december?
And keep up your work. You really do make amazing figures.
So, we have teased you with some random photos for the last couple of days, but now the time has come to show you the entire squad and announce that it is up in our online store. It contains 10 miniatures (each of different design!) including a Commsiar, a Corporal, a soldat with a standard and my favourite - a musician with harmoshka.

I got my delivery of the Soviet Goblins this morning and am very impressed
everything is nice and sharp with few if any mould lines.
(They way they're designed there's not much scope for swapping things around, but a couple do have separate heads you could play with.... but with 10 different figures this is not much of a problem)
Really impressed, I hope they sell well enough to justify some more Goblin releases
The one thing to mention is they are larger/more bulky than I was expecting (but in a good way), ranging from 25-30mm tall (top of the hat)
(and they also included a Tommy Ork head and a Shoota as well! great stuff)
Harrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Today, we are releasing a set of Orc Pirate Heads. It contains 10 pieces (two of each design), that will fit your surely not piratey enough 28mm heroic scale orcs.
Who was it that sculpted the Orc Veterans in helmets or the Orc Veterans with caps? They have a look I like for my army, and I would like to see more from that sculptor as well as Igor's work, which does this thing with wrinkling on the upper jaw, crowds the teeth and adds zits all of which I am not so fond of (that's a personal like rather than a criticism of good sculpting, btw).

Meanwhile, we are happy to announce that Stygian Legs are coming your way to further expand one of your favourite Kromlech ranges. These have been requested a lot, so here you are!
I have been waiting to see some new themed legs to go with your Egyptian heads! They look AWESOME! I wish I had some cash to spare so I could get some. It'll finally be possible to do some decent looking Thousand Sons.
I really like the look of that squig, but if that's a 25mm base, it's a bit on the big side for me. I'd rather have a pack of little ones which can be used to decorate bases or added to other models.
Might make a good pet for my Juggernaut warboss though.
We teased you on our facebook fanpage one week ago and now it's time to show you the real deal.

Meanwhile, we are happy to announce that Stygian Legs are coming your way to further expand one of your favourite Kromlech ranges. These have been requested a lot, so here you are!
I love Kromlech stuff, they are beautiful and funny and have really improved our Orks.
But could I make a suggestion that you make a pack with more Ork legs? As you'll know, lots of people end up with extra torsos and arms. We bought a pack of 3 legs to use with these,I love them, but they're actually more expensive than buying complete models! Other designs have more in a pack i think... even 4 pairs of Ork legs in a pack would tempt me to buy even more! Thanks.
Hey guys,
Today, we are releasing a brand new set of M413 Assault Rifles.
It contains 10 pieces perfetly suitable for 28mm heroic scale sf human soldiers.
We are happy to announce the release of our brand new Imperial Siege Mortar.
This baby comes in 17 parts, is easy to assemble and will be quickly ready to blast away at your foes.
Invaluable for boosting your troops' morale, providing you don't actually shoot at them (I'm looking at you, goblin 'snipers'). Plus, the calliber is so large, if it does not work on the table, you can drink soda from it.
Or vodka.
Or plant flowers inside. The possibilities are endless.
That thing looks great! I wish it were a little cheaper, but if you make a similar artillery piece that looks like the dwarf organ gun (i.e. multiple barrels) or any kind of gatling-type gun, I'll be all over it
Nice artillery piece indeed and great size real mass killer, I have to ask when will you be releasing the arms and weapons to go with the highlander in the picture.

Hi Roy,
They _should_ appear in around a month if everything goes smoothly.
Lets hope it does
I work out that that lovely looking mortar is about £5 cheaper than the equivalent Forgeworld product and comes with extra resin in the form of the front plate.

Thanks Pawel
I have an order building but you keep picturing the complete miniature so I thought they must be getting close for release, plus gives me time to save up
P.S. do you know if they will release a complete unit set with all parts included ? Just thinking it might be a good idea as well as selling individually
There definitely will be a whole set, though I am not sure if it will be released initially, or later.
Sorry for a bit vague answer, but can't really give you anything more solid now.

How do these Orc in Juggernaut Mecha Armour compare in size to the GW mega armour nobz. Are they in the same range? They look much better than the GW ones haha.
Id like to use these Kromlech Orc in Juggernaut Mecha Armour for mega armoured nobz haha.

Yeah, i know right. But they would be more like warboss size, wich is a shame.
Ya. At the end of the video they are compared to a rhino tank and a boy. Look to be pretty big!! Was wishing they would be more mega armour nob size. I guess they could work, they are nice looking models after all....
Why let the fact they they're bigger and more impressive looking be a down side?
If you're not using them in a GW, which you obviously aren't otherwise it wouldn't be a discussion, then unless there is some sort of demonstrable advantage to you because of the size difference (there isn't, if anything, the opposite) then it is really irrelevant whether they're the right size or not. If you prefer them, then get them.
I plan on using some of the orc juggernauts as mega nobz. I don't really care too much about the size difference - the way I see, a Nob has to be pretty important to have enough teef to afford mega-armor anyways, and that naturally means he's going to be bigger than the gits around him.

Not a regular Mega Armour Nob, but Ghazkull, who is bigger.
They look just the right size to me! The price can only be better per-figure if they are that large. Who cares about size and TLOS, I want big imposing Nobz in mega armor, as any proper Ork general would.

Well they posted on this page on the 3rd so maybe they are just slow to reply? Odd time for a vacation, 'tis a chilly time of the year!

Hi, we're definitely not on a vacation. If you did not get a reply, I'll make sure to poke Artur so that he contacts you.
Meanwhile though...
We are happy to show you a new set of shoulder pads, which also opens up a new line of our products - the Dragonborn Space Legions.
Looks like a 'ard Boy to me! Is there a pistol in his other hand??
Quick question - I have two of your Soviet Goblin squads, which are incredible sculpts, but I'm wondering if there are any plans to sell just the Goblin Soldiers by themselves, maybe in sets of 5 or something? That way players could build themselves bigger mobs without getting repeats of the musician, standard bearer, and commissar, if they so desire.

Hi Mr.Grey,
This is actually a very good idea. I will forward it to Artur.
It might just happen.
From what I can see, it looks really nice. I hope though, that there's an option for them with a gun. I need Shoota Boyz a lot more than Slugga boyz, and if I can make em into Shootas.. I'll prolly pick up a full squad of 30 off the bat.

The recently teased Armoured Orc was met with a lot of excitement from you, so now it is time to start releasing armoured stuff.
First up, are the armoured bodies and cc arms. Both should fit heroic scale orcs perfectly and will make every orc happy with their sturdiness and comfort know only to greenskins.
The bodies set contains 4 different pieces chosen randomly from 5 designes. The close combat arms set contains 5 pairs of arms weilding pistols and various tools of close quarters mayhem.
There are more to come in the next days, so stay posted!
So... if I see this right... you have to buy 2 sets of bodies, 2 sets of arms and still have no heads or options for shooty weapons or a nob for 8 boyz at 50+ USD without shipment, compared to 10 boyz with shoota options, heads and Nob-upgrades for 48 USD from GW.
What exactly is the point of your buisness model, if I may be so bold?

I was thinking this. These look so much like GW orks why bother at that price point.

Hi Kosake,
Jokes aside, the above sets open up a new range in our offer. If someone would like to buy them together to build whole models from them, they are very welcome, but these sets are mainly supposed to be used as bits for your existing collection. A lot of fans ask for separate bodies, as they seem to have a lot of spare arms and heads laying around.
For people interested in whole models, we will have squad deals at a more affordable price.
No time to waste. We're adding two more deals with the new armoured orcs.
The first one is an Armoured Orc Assault Squad, consisting of Commander Kromm and his 9 tough lads.
They are all armed with pistols and melee weapons and feel all tough and mighty with their extra armour plates.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kromlech-Armoured-Orc-Assault-Squad-Orc-War-2-ork-/151242013292?
The current ETA for the first sets is moved to the end of March/beginning of April.
As it is a very complex project with a lot of weapon loadouts and options and we are constantly challenged with new problems to solve, it is hard to pinpoint the exact date. We appreciate your patience.
They are definitely coming and hopefully will not disappoint.
I think they'd make good 'Aard Boyz... which there currently isn't a model for. I used a bunch of Kromolech's mechanical "clanking destroyer" ork parts along with a bunch of home-made armor bits to make mine... (wanted them to have cyboark bodies). These would be a lot easier to start with.
These new guys are looking fantastic.
I especially like the torso and legs are one piece. The heads are a little different than usual but I find them very fresh.
Very nice release !
I hope I find enough time to get the guys on my painting table.

I just realized how many spare heads and arms I have lying around in my bitz bin, for nobs in particular. That actually makes a lot more sense now.
I could probably build a good 20 nobs alone if I had some more bodies lying around.
Wow those are really nice. I might get some of those for my IG and just count them as plasma guns.
Any chance I can get a size comparison with something? Just want to make sure they wouldn't look ridiculously huge in the hands of the models I want to use them with.
