Who said that orcs only destroy stuff?
Apparently, they are also great builders well known for their impressive taste in architecture and ingeniuity when it comes to designing epic structures. To show all of this off, we are happy to present you our latest set of Orc Junk Barricades. It contains 8 pieces (4 long and 4 short ones) and will be perfect to guard your orcs from all the common battlefield hazards, including (but not limited to) large calliber shells, nuclear explosions, toxic waste, blue magical lightning bolts and charging baboons.

It would be so unacceptable for someone to complain about them. Even in tournament settings there are still people who would take things because they are cool.

Twice I have seen orky ADLs banned from tourneys due to the fact no grot model can see over the stock ADL. 9 big guns and bS3 manning an interceptor gun behind an ADL is a game changer... Even more so when you have to MFA for those grots to have LOS as none of the stock models can work.
I have the GW ork barricades and due to the grot issue, TOs I ask discourage using them, hence why I have a more appropriated modeled ADL and the stock ADL just in case.
They are cool, just potentially changing how the rules of the game work and are MFA.

Yes a real game changer. Ork big gun lines have been in the top 5 of almost ever tournament Ive seen.... Besides barrage weapons dont need LOS.
I run the ork barricade for my ADL with a forgeworld orky flak gun for the quad. And I bring 9 lobbas, a mix of forgeoworld and Kromlech models. No one is the past 2 years of tournaments has ever said a peep about it. That include the judges at 6 different GT's.
EDIT:
They might be too big for unarmored guys :(
We do make plasma weaponry more suitable in size for guardsmen, though.
Thanks! I might buy a pack anyways just to give them a try. I'm sure I could always come up with a use for them later if they didn't work for my guardsmen guys.
As long at the dimensions are the same as the stock GW kit if your TO has a problem with it have him show you where in the rules a miniatures height stops it from seeing over a wall with shooting slits and I use weapons that ignore LOS so jobs a good 'un anyway
We are happy to release a set of 10 Orc Cyber-Pirate Heads (two of each deisgn).
They should fit most standard 28mm orc miniatures.
Hope you enjoy!
Harrrrr,
Pawel
Some will moan, but really, there's no such thing as too many choices of orc heads
Seriously, these are useful for any free-booter/pirate-themed squad, especially with a cybernetic subtheme (e.g. painboyz or mega-armour), or for generally mixing through an army.
Anybody else having problems with Kromlech's ebay store not combining postage? I want a set of barricades and the new pirate heads but I'm not paying another $6 to ship the heads separately.
Looky Likey wrote: Anybody else having problems with Kromlech's ebay store not combining postage? I want a set of barricades and the new pirate heads but I'm not paying another $6 to ship the heads separately.
Once before. Either request total (if it will let you) or message them and they'll sort it.
Boy, do we have some good and important news today!
After many months of tests, trials, going through differrent versions and different templates, we have finally managed to start our online store.
We know this is also good news for many of you, as we have received numerous requests and questions about the possibility of shopping at our store instad of eBay.
As always, an important event calls for celebratation so we would like to open up with a bang. Or the First Salvo!
Until the end of this weekend (PST), all items in our offer are discounted by 15% when buying from our online store-> http://bitsofwar.com/. Without, further ado, we are very happy and proud to invite you, look around, log in and have a nice shopping. We promise to send you some awesome resin bits and minis in exchange.
Thanks a lot for your patience and support through the years.
So I just noticed you guys have a kombi flamer/dakkagun arm option available for the mecha armored Orcs. Is there a way to get all 3 armor variants armed with those?
Should I just mention it in the notes section at checkout or something?

Hi,
Orc Juggernaut with heavy flamer is a separate model and not a part of the squad box, so you need to buy these separately.
Hope it helps.

During their Black Friday sale I ordered two items and paid shipping for both things. Afterwards I got a refund for the difference from Kromlech.

You need to send a invoice total request for combined postage costs when you come to pay rather than paying, then they will send you an e-mail with the link for the correct amount.
Lets kick the weekend off with some new releases!
The main star of today's event is that sneaky git, Snagrat Kromm. But this time he is followed by 9 dudes armed with SMGs.
The last bunch did not carry enough dakka, so these guys are more than making up for it.
http://bitsofwar.com/home/178-armoured-orc-smg-squad.html
Hey guys,
I am actually genuinely ill right now so found it pretty funny when Artur sent me an email saying that we are releasing these today. I, would prefer not to be treated by them, but my entire closet of greenskins is not that concerned with medical education or even the slightest regard for patient's life, so I guess it is okay
We teased you with them on our webstore (bitsofwar.com) for some time now and judging by your inquisitive emails, you want these dudes out.
We do not want to keep you waiting anymore and therefore finally release the Orc Assaut Greatcoat Squad.
As always with our squads, you can get them as a 10-dude mob or if you are ballzy enough, go all out and pick the Company, which consists of Da Boss, 26 regular dudesmen and 3 'specialists' (derp derp) armed with panzerschrecks.
Aye, will have to wait. With the new Ork Codex and models not that far off I'm saving for those. THEN, I'll come back and buy some lovely, lovely Kromlech.
Loving it! Always brilliant stuff.
Pawel, I'd like to ask a favour. Is there any chance of seeing a picture of the Mechanical Crushers next to some other models to get an idea of scale, please?
These ones. http://bitsofwar.com/home/9-mechanical-crushers.html
Hey guys,
It is mother's day in Poland today. Even though, AFAIK, most of the world does not celebrate it on 26th of May, we have a very ‘mothery’ release for you.
The Orc Flakvierling, or as I like to call it - The Mother Of All Dakka.
This fine lady, weighing close to 4 tones, with an effective range of 40000 feet (or that's what the orc mechanic said), four barrels and _custom_ magazines for added style, can be mounted on land vehicles, emplacements and orc aircrafts if you feel like dog-fighting using those 88mm shells (insurance covering collateral damage when doing so, not included with the cannon).
Linky to the store (where more photos can be found):
http://bitsofwar.com/home/186-orc-flakvierling.html
That flak cannon seems to pivot on the base. Would that pivot be the same size as a turret mounting on tanks made by a certain manufacturer. IE can I remove the base and slot it in?
loki old fart wrote: That flak cannon seems to pivot on the base. Would that pivot be the same size as a turret mounting on tanks made by a certain manufacturer. IE can I remove the base and slot it in?
The slot/mount thing is 25mm in diameter. It can be slotted in, but depending on the platform, some fiddling might be required. We did not go for 100% compatiblity with everything else on the market, because we did not want our own design and idea of the thing suffer.
I am really glad you guys like it (you can also win one of them in our Facebook competition right now )

Nah don't do facebook. Seen to much Jeremy kyle, and know how that turns out. 58 and don't need the hassle.
Do you have any awesome plans on for your summer holidays already?
I am going to NYC to get a three week long bite of the Big Apple and am really excited to see the US for the first time. But obviously, I am not here to babble about my plans, as we are preparing something special for you guys.
We have decided to have some fun with you during summer and let you win our models while doing it as well.
The idea is to take your Kromlech miniatures (these have to be whole Kromlech models, unfortunately Kromlech bits on other manufacturers' minis will not cut it) with you and take some photos of them in the places you will be spending your holidays at.
They can be funny, scary, fluffy or simply bad-ass. It is completely up to you. Show us that you are having fun on your vacation. Also, there is nothing stopping you from sending us more than one photo. The more, the merrier, as they say
Please send us the photos to Maciej's email (maciej@kromlech.eu) and we will post them to a dedicated album on our facebook fanpage for all of you to see.
We will be accepting your pictures from 1st of July until 31st of August.
Somewhere in the first week of September, we will choose the photo that we like best and award it with with a 100EUR voucher in our online store.
There will also be three runner-ups, who will receive 50EUR vouchers.
So, as you can see, the stakes are pretty high.
The prizes will not be given away based on the number of likes under the photos, but based on our opinion of them (though there is nothing stopping you from liking and commenting the photos). Be creative, capture an interesting event or a beautiful landscape blended nicely with Kromlech-branded resin and you will have a good chance at winning.
I'm going to the San Diego Comic Con in July. That would've been the perfect opportunity to take part in this if I actually had a full Kromlech figure. You guys need to hurry up and release some human arms and power armored torsos.
Initially, while releasing the first herd of Gnaws, we have promised, there will be more.
So, keeping our promise, we are happy to announce that today we are releasing another herd of three.
They are at least equally as bouncy, hungry and derpy as the first pack, so they will go along together just fine.
So we are a bit late with these, but hopefully it is worth the wait. We are very proud to introduce a significant expantion of our Hghlanders range.
First of all, the Highlander Command Squad consisting of an officer, musician, standard bearer, radio operator and a medic.
http://bitsofwar.com/home/202-imperial-highlanders-command-squad.html
Yeah, I am thinking your highland legs and arms with empire greatswords torso's, and some kind of beardy face for the heads, maybe the old WF empire Reich's-guard heads, from when they didn't have helmets
Username Invalid wrote: Will all the parts from the highlander kits be made available separately? I'm difficult to please and want to pick and choose specific bits.
The female highlander bits, the sergeant bits, the specialist bits from the command box, those sorts of things.
I'm not looking to put in an order at the moment. But I can definitely see myself buying a great deal of the highlander bits in the not too distant future, especially if your bits are cross compatible with Vic Minis. Two manufacturers making Highland guard, we're truly in the golden age of minis!
Hi,
to celebrate our incoming release of new Stygian daemon we have a weekend promo bundle with our other Stygian products.
check it at:
http://bitsofwar.com/home/215-stygian-bundle.html Promo will last until the end of Sunday, 13 July 2014.
I love the look of the Stygian they make great TS .The bundle is a great bit of kit but the lack of torso's stops me from buying it.Will you guys be making a Stygian torso set in the future and if so when?
Yeah torsos really are a must have thing, especially with FW delaying their Thousand Sons release date so there is a big gap in the market to fill right now
Any chance of some unpainted pics? As while undoubtedly technically good, the style of the paint job is really getting in the way of me visualising what I could do with it.

This set contains five characterful orc miniatures:
Orc Commissar,
Orc Tank Driver,
Orc Field Chururgeon,
Orc Pilot,
Orc Officer in Greatcoat,
and five 25mm round plastic bases.
Inside the package you'll find:
- one large Orc Officer armed with mighty Crusher and Parabellum,
- one HMG Gunner with choice of two various magazines (yes, he's carrying orc version of feared MG42!),
- eight Orcs armed with "Schmeissers"
- ten 25mm round plastic bases.

- three HMG Gunners with choice of two various magazines (yes, they're carrying orc version of feared MG42!),
- twenty six Orcs armed with "Schmeissers"
- thirty 25mm round plastic bases.
Just received my Stygian bundle yesterday. Very nice stuff indeed guys! The only casting problems I had were a few fixable bubbles and one of the Rhino doors being incredibly thin. I am most impressed with the legs as they are packed with detail and perfect for my needs.
Thanks guys, will certainly be ordering again in the future!
If you guys don't mind, I'd like to see some legs that fit the human Combat Armor Torso. I tried it on both GW and other third party legs and the torso just doesn't quite fit.
I've had plenty of Orky Kromlech parts before and been very impressed, but I am very excited about these new flat plate materials, ideal for orky vehicle modifications and for general 40k scenery, I'm very interested!! Will definitely be purchasing a few of these, thanks!!
Well crap, I need to get those. I think they'll need torsos first before arms. Nobody other than Spellcrow currently makes headless Plague style bodies.
Hi,
today we have a new release for our Orc Greatcoats series.
If You want to customize them or make them even more awesome then check out those two products:
I'm rather liking the buzz-saw variants and the new enclosed helmets are pretty cool. I just wish they had a cleaner aesthetic. You guys think at some point you might make a cleaner version of this design? Maybe a more military looking version to go with the German orks?
Hi,
we have a new release.
Finally Mech-Boss left his workshop to join his troops at battlefield.
Creator of Destruction, Master of Engines, unmatched strategist who will conquer every enemy who dare to face him.
The back of his head is showing his skull has literally split open from all that warp power? Seems a bit extreme...but easy to replace with a hat if you don't like it, I suppose.
Well, the head is part of the model so You would have to cut it out. But as this is resin its not so difficult.
And yes the head is open and You can see a brain tissue
Back in 2012 you had a contest to submit ideas for future releases. I was one of the winner's whose idea was picked. Is there any update on the status of these submissions? Are you guys still planning to make them ( I don't actually know which of my ideas you picked )

Hi,
it is a topic before my time at Kromlech but I will try to find out.

If it helps the contest announcement is on page 20 of this thread.
I just used them recently with a FW MKII torso through I actually chopped off most of the decorative bits. Works perfectly! Even the rivets are the same size.
Hi,
we have new option at our web store www.bitsofwar.com
From now on You can purchase Kromlech Gift Voucher if You are looking for a present for someone and You are not sure what to buy.
There are six values. Check out all at:
till now they were available only as a part of a set.
What's more we have a time limited Christmas 2014 offer for some bundles, sets and bits. You can check them all at:
http://bitsofwar.com/40-christmas-2014
You can see an example of one of those bundles at picture below .
Hi,
we have a little gift for you all.
A set of five free wallpapers at 1920x1080 and 1920x1200 resolution.
Here you can download a zipped file:
http://www.filedropper.com/kromlechwallpaper
I've got pretty much all the other Juggernauts except the Warchief (who's on my buy list too) and you can mix and match their heads around as they're separate from the bodies,
all the juggernaut heads have got a flat patch on the back of the head and under the jaw to enable them to fit into the armours head cavity,
so you'd probably need to do some minor converting to get any of the other normal heads to fit, but it's not too difficult
Hi,
this was a good year for Kromlech.
New web store, new fantastic releases, new fans!, lots of supported events [nearly 60! since May 2014].
Of course we have a lots of ideas and plans for the next year Part of them are almost ready.
We wish you all the best in New Year, let your dreams come true, find time for your family and hobby and the most important thing stay healthy and strong
Let's see... birds, pirate goblins, a flamer, a grenade launcher, combi bolters, Squats, a ork/goblin tank, demons, a half track, thunder hammers, ork trench raiders, power swords, a goblin with a missile launcher, and some sort of robed female. I think you're going to make a lot of people happy this year.
Hi,

THANK YOU ALL !!!
It is hard to describe how cool is that I hope you will always enjoy our products as we do creating them for you.
To celebrate this glorious moment we have a give away.

Hi,
today we have a new release available at http://bitsofwar.com/ Straight from Iron Reich factories, new type of armour for brave soldiers of Orc Companies.
Hi,
let's make this Friday 13th a lucky one.
I will put one promo voucher [20% discount] in one random order placed in our webstore http://bitsofwar.com during this weekend [13-15.02.2015, CET].
Good luck Emotikon smile
Except that a lot of the tropical birds of that colour have much more pronounced curves to the top of their beaks.
The shape of those beaks makes me think of corvids - Rooks, Crows, Ravens. All of which are black birds with taht sort of short, straight pointed beaks good for pecking holes in, and then tearing chunks off of, flesh.
That depends on the size, of course, but even small ones could be young corvids. But at least the smaller ones could be tits or something.
Actually Conrad, I'd noticed it too. I think corbids would be more appropriate for grim dark basing. But to each his own, people can paint them as they will.
They might not be perfect for Grimdark purposes, but (and I know we all sometimes forget this) there are other models and games out there for which these might be more suitable basing or terrain decorations.
If you want to be super-accurate on bird types then paint them up as corvids or blackbirds, doves thrushes etc. No one's saying you have to make them as brightly coloured as Kromlech have.
It was probably just a bit more fun to paint them that way and it helps to show off details/make the product more eye-catching than perhaps a more drab/realistic paint job would.
Conrad Turner wrote: [John Cleese] And if you hadn't nailed it to it's perch, it'd be pushing up the daisys![/John Cleese]
So sorry I care for accuracy in models. Good luck with buying a Patlabor model and using it as a Tau Titan!
Wait you play fantasy games and you want realism
No.
I don't play fantasy games.
I'm not in to WHFB, although I used to play DnD a fair bit, I was always more of a Paranoia fan. I am a Science Fiction appreciator, hence I was always drawn more to WH40K than WHFB or WHRP.
I am into this sort of stuff for the models, not the games. I am quite happy that other people like these birds. It means that Kromlech will sell enough of them to have made it worth their time, effort, and expense. This means they are more likely to produce more stuff, and there is plenty of theirs that, whether I have already bought it, plan to buy it in the future, or don't plan on buying it at all, I like.
What I don't like is people putting me down for my opinion, just because I have had the nerve to have one and state it. It's not like I was forcing it on anyone, my opinion is only as valid as anyone elses, but it is JUST as valid as anyone elses! (I also think it's unfair to have changed the post I said that to so that it is now a one word post that gives a total disconnect with what I said to it, but that's MY fault for not quoting it when it was in it's original form.)
my apologies Conrad... I changed it because after reading your follow up post I felt that I came across a bit dickish. I didn't mean to somehow turn you into a bad guy for having an opinion.
I edited my previous post again to lead into yours better.
a sketch which will be available at bitsofwar.com as a resin model [with two other patterns], very very soon
Automatically Appended Next Post: Breaking News !
Someone stole all our ammo stash from the studio !
Our surveillance camera has registered those sneaky Goblins:
The new gun is nice, except that front grip may need custom hands to fit it?
Wonderful goblin ammo dealers, although personally I'd have called them heavy artillery crew, as presumably that's what they'll mostly be used for. Not sure whether I like the fins on the sides of the 'shells'(?) as they seem to imply a rocket rather than an artillery shell, but they'd be easily trimmed off for anyone wanting a more traditional artillery shell
Conrad Turner wrote: Except that a lot of the tropical birds of that colour have much more pronounced curves to the top of their beaks.

You can foresee the evolution of birds on other planets? and maybe they are Chaos doves of tzeench!
Jehan-reznor wrote: You can foresee the evolution of birds on other planets? and maybe they are Chaos doves of tzeench!
You are not far off base. Evolution, although each mutation is blind, means that form follows function. Each different type of beak is due to a different food supply. The beaks on those birds are based on the beaks of birds found on this miserable mudball of a planet at this period in it's timeline, and are based on carrion-eaters. Tropical birds have different shape beaks because they mainly eat nuts, which require a greater force to crack. Birds of prey have to catch their food and have yet another shape to their beaks. The same problem occurs with the 'aliens' that people claim to have really seen. The 'Greys' are a real dichotomy. They have huge heads and massive eyes, but spindly bodies. The head is too large to be supported effectively by anything approaching human physiology. If the eyes are single eyes, like human eyes, then there is not enough room in the head for any significant amount of brain matter, therefore logically, they must be compound eyes such as insects have. The size of them suggests that the Greys are not used to large amounts of light, or that their eyes are not very efficient. The spindly bodies imply a low gravity worlds as their home, but they are short, implying high gravity. If they were from a high gravity world, evolution would favour short. stocky creatures that were not in danger of breaking bones if they tripped. This suggests that actually the 'Greys' are an equivalent to ants, but even then, they lack the body mass for that.
Gravity is the main problem for your 'alien' birds. Too high a gravity and there won't be any birds, they could not get into the air. Between there and Earth type gravity, is a curve of probability which decribes what would be required for flight. Even in our gravity, birds don't generally fly more than they have to as it requires a large reserve of energy. Lower gravity and birds could be much larger, even more so than the flying reptiles of the dinosaur ages.
All I was trying to point out was that it would have been nice to have some different design of beaks in that set so that people could accurately produce whatever type of bird they wanted without having to convert them.
I hope you did not feel any of this from what I wrote. If so, my apologies, I did not intend any sort of malice.
Maciej_Kromlech - That gun looks amazing, I'll take a hundred.
Great looking gun sketch! Clang is right in saying that a special hand/arm may need to be sculpted to hold both handles though.
Loving the birds as well, I'm sure I can think of a way to fit them into a 40k army somehow. Things like that really make a model stand out from the crowd.

Good to hear they're available more widely now. A shame they're still so expensive though. But I can imagine production costs are quite high, especially if it's not done at a larger scale.
Will there be more stuff by Evil Craft upcoming by the way? They haven't done anything new in a while...

have a nice weekend,

That's awesome! Your prices seem really good too - although I think partly that could be from the euro weakening against the dollar, but they seem to compare really well to other models, especially since these are all resin.
It was 10 here and the free shipping is expired? I'm American, I don't care what time it is in some foreign country!
I didn't wait until the absolute last second, had stygian legs and pads in the basket, just needed to find those stygian bodies...they don't carry them. Found some nice '1000 chaos egypt sons' on another site, came back and get an expired voucher?!
A sale that has me getting stuff from another site :(
Also those egypt packs are not pretty, do not want. Where are the priorities if they are making the least important bit before bodies?

The underlined does not come across very well. It's perfectly reasonable for them to end the sale in relation to their domestic time zone. Perhaps it was an oversight or none of the team knew how to tweak the coding to account for ther time zones.
I can't speak officially for Kromlech, but I imagine that like Maxmini, Spellcrow et al, their sculptors and designers are continuously working on stuff and release it pretty much as and when it's ready. Torsos could well have been sculpted by now, but they decided to try again as they weren't happy with the results. Chill.

[MOD EDIT - RULE #1 - ALPHARIUS]
On a side note, the not thousand sons posted by old fart are nice but does anyone know how the Stygian legs match up with those torsos? I bet the medieval legion legs would look good too.

Mod edit, well now I have to know. I was clearly having a laugh, if this guy was doing the same, who cares! Unless he was being super serious and tedious, then good job mod.
On a side note, those are terminator torsos, they would look hilarious balanced on normal csm legs.
As we are located in UE we always do promo and other activies according to UE time zone. USA are few hours back, Australia few ahead...it's how it is.
About those torsos, work is in progress.
But first there will be more other stuff
