If you go to each model, there is a place that says "Attachment." There is a link there for the card of that model. Though, a lot of those links are of JPEGS that are stupidly small, and therefore hard to read.
Also of note, I have received my pre-ordered, direct from Knight Models rulebooks out in California. They had a shipping date of march 11 on the packages, so roughly 5 weeks of shipping to get here.

So there isn't a centralized location of all the stat lines, in the fashion of Infinity, correct?
How do you download the free rules pdf from their site? I placed it in the cart after registering an account, but cannot find the option to complete the transaction. Anyone have a suggestion?
They look official to me. And they shouldn't be that pricey.
You don't carefully design a laser cut MDF building like that just to make a display piece. Those will be for sale at some point. I am assuming no internal details, and it looks like the designs are fairly simple. They probably won't retail with the reflective windows, lighting, etc. And I am guessing they won't be pre-painted.
So all you re really looking at is a large, relatively boxy laser cut MDF building. This is not to suggest that they don't look nice, but the designs are not terribly complicated, and the number of parts is probably relatively modest.
Knight Models also can't hope to sell the buildings if they price them too high. If, for example, that large, gothic looking apartment building was $400, I doubt many people would buy it.
At $200 I think some people would probably buy it. I wouldn't be surprised to see buildings like that going for somewhere in the neighborhood of $125-$200 full retail.
I could be massively wrong, of course, but I certainly wouldn't buy a single MDF office building for $400, no matter how cool it was.
As a question motivated entirely by curiosity and in no way market research for my own MDF company that's planning on making terrain for this game, how much would you pay for a building like that measuring 24" or so tall?
Pretty nice, tho the first two not having very thick edges seems odd, even the gargoyles are kind of thin for balancing minis on.
Big bland boxes sure look cool for Wayne and Queen but hard to justify buying, at least give us some open building construction or window washers or something! Not everyone leaps buildings in a single bound.
I don't cost buildings by size exactly, more by number of stories and amount of balconies or fire escapes to play on. Depending on how fancy the design is, 10-15 usd per floor for basic 1-2 floor, mebbe 7-8 to addon additional floors.
I do enjoy those building but the price point I think would make me. I also have worry about how realistic it would work for gameplay. Are the edges large enough to work? Honestly I would probably pay at most $125 for those, just cause I could not justify anything more.
That being said does this game need that massive of buildings? I mean wouldnt buildings like the GCPD be big enough? I mean to me that is a solid nice building- put a few up like that and I am good. MAYBE one huge one for a center piece but I am not sure how much use it would have.
Note: I do not know a lot about this game but I do want to get into it. That being said if it costs $400 worth of terrain that is really restrictive.
I think those large buildings are intended to be thematic centerpiece models. If you look at the Knight Models table, off in the bottom right of the photo there are several smaller, more reasonable buildings.
I expect that what one could do for table setup would be to use a striking centerpiece building surrounded by lots of those smaller buildings.
If a game was set in a city block in the middle of downtown Gotham, sure you might have skyscrapers on both sides of the street, but it would potentially be a pretty bland play area as you would be confined to the streets and alleyways.
That is, of course, unless you use the interiors of the bottom floors of the office buildings/apartments as a playable area. But in that case you wouldn't need the actual building, just the ground floor with no roof.
Alternatively, you could play a game inside of a single large building. But in that case you'd want the different floors modeled with interiors and constructed as separate pieces so that you can lay them all out on the table and play on the different levels simultaneously with rules for stairway/elevator/duct connections between floors.
As a 30+mm skirmish game, I think smaller buildings with various heights and fire escapes, narrow alleyways, clotheslines, etc. would make for a more dynamic play area.
As for how much to charge for a large building, it really depends on what sort of value you are getting. I buy an MDF building when I value my time more than the building, or if the kit offers something that I would be hard pressed to do on my own. Like dormers. I hate making my own dormers.
You can make a bland office building really easily. Heck, you can make one out of smoked plexiglass panels scored with a hobby knife. For a Gotham look you'd want that baroque, gothic feel though, which is harder to do as you'd want some dynamism and texture. Lots of arches and architectural details.
The pieces in the pics above give you some of that. So there's value in not having to hand cut a brazillion pointed arches.
Take the 4Ground Sassy Gal Saloon as an example of a big, expensive centerpiece building. It retails for...$150. The building is about 8"x13" and 8" tall with three floors. Now, it is entirely detailed in the interior with interior walls, working doors, railings, staircases, etc. The floors come apart very easily and slot back together nicely, so you can use it, on its own, to run an entire skirmish game in.
That's a good bit of value for $150. It is a very nice centerpiece building and offers a lot of playability with its two balconies and roof in addition to the interior details.
It is also pre-painted.
If I was going to spend $150 on a building with no interior details and no pre-painting, I'd want it to be a damn impressive edifice. MDF has its limits, of course, and you can easily spend $150 on a gorgeous piece of resin or plastic terrain packed with loads of detail.
What I want out of MDF is utility more than beauty, in the form of playability. I want to fill a table and offer a nice-looking, dynamic play area that I can't easily do on my own. I want clever lines and detailing, dynamic usage (such as walkways, different levels, interesting corners, etc.), and/or speed of assembly and large footprint (either as a single large structure or lots of smaller structures).
As folks have pointed out, lots of those buildings in the pics are lacking in playability. But they do offer nice-looking detailing that I can't/won't do on my own. But I wouldn't want a table dominated by those tall, mostly space eating buildings. At the end of the day, cool as they look, you aren't getting a ton of playability out of them. You are paying for them to be big and impressive, primarily. And you only need one or two of those to get the point.
Now, if those buildings had interior detailing and separate floors...that's a different story. If you could take apart Wayne Tower into 8 different floors and lay them all out to mostly cover a 3'x3' area, that would be awesome value, as you would be basically getting an entire table of terrain in one building.
The buildings would also be especially cool if they came with or had optional fully detailed ground floors. For example, if you could take the top off of Wayne Tower and leave a fully modeled lobby on the table, that would be pretty darn awesome.
Forgot about those realistic-to-buy apartments in my rush to have a whine
They will either be better buys than sarissa, or you are paying a premium for mad hatter signs. Their container mdf set is an ok price so there's hope.
I can pretty much guarantee those are for display and not meant for playing on,
With the exception of the GCPD building, and maybe the apartment blocks, with the rules being the way they are, it would take 2-3 game turns just to reach the top of one of those buildings. making them useless for gameplay purposes.
That being said I'd sell my first born for the lot of them
I'm going to be sticking with resin bases or my own custom done ones, but these are a nice touch, if a bit soft detailed
Not bad, but it only serves as a reminder that I need to get nice bases in addition to painting all those naked metal miniatures on my desk :-/
My wallet can barely sustain paying Corvus Belli. As much as I'd like to try BMG, I can't justify more purchases until I actually paint stuff.

Not for a while, seems they're having issues balancing everything. It's a lot harder to fine tune then the Batman game was for them from what I've heard.
Granted the last time I heard the whisperings of it was a month ago or so
Little Batman snippets from today. Knight models will be releasing the fences and gates to Arkham Asylum soon with the possibility of the whole Asylum building facade that could be seen on the demo tables at Salute today.
Compel wrote: So I finally got the rulebook today and even managed to find the stats cards for the models i bought just to paint ages ago.
Not read it through yet but my first spirits issued the Batsuit Mk1 looks better than Mk2?
So far I have
Arkham origins Batman
The Dark Knight
Arrow
Alfred
From the sounds of it, if I were to actually plkay the game, the James Gordon set is pretty important?
Although, I probably wouldn't be getting many more actual models for now. Maybe Catwoman or if the do Canary / Black Canary from Arrow
You have a pretty solid start there in terms of bruisers, as for Gordon he helps quite a bit depending on the list you want to run, want a lot of elite SWAT's, you need Gordon to run more than one.
He's not a necessity though, you could easily run a few beat cops without him as well.
One of the things you'll find with a crew of few characters is you have to play aggresive to get ahead, due to it being very objective based, it's easy to get spread thinly, which is why cops help immensely.
I've done a bit of reading and it seems that, providing I cheat a little bit and use the other Green Arrow rules instead of Arrow, I have a viable force if I get these guys:
Both forms of Arrow can lead their own bands. But you could fudge it a bit and use TV Arrow as the sidekick type to use with Batman.
And you can use police with or without Gordon. And you can use police with Batman, Arrow, Law, Two Face, Black Mask, and Organized Crime bands under the right terms, so police have become valuable for their versatility.

Not news so apologies but didn't where else to post it. Are there any members of the Arkham City Facebook group here ? I have tried repeatedly to join and my request is just ignored. I don't use Facebook much but I am sure I have requested right. Any help appreciated.

As a new collector of this game (just the miniatures at the moment, I haven't yet played the game) I have to say that the quality of sculpting for this range has absolutely blown me away.
I'm just painting up a couple of the Joker's clown mobsters, and about to start on the Heath Ledger Joker. Not only have they got the sculpt of his face right, they've got his posture from his acting in the film absolutely dead-on.
Absolutely incredible, I don't quite know how this range has managed to escape my notice for this long!

Well, I'll do a nice/crappy thing here then:
Go check out their 28mm Star Wars models that they used to do. They're equally incredible.
Then cry into your dice bag with me, knowing they're nearly impossible to get.
Does Knights make a Storm model yet? I JUST heard about the Mutant Revolution game and I have Cyclops and Wolverine already, with easy access to Magneto. But I couldn't remember if there was a Storm, and I hate Heroclix minis with a passion.

Only at 70mm so far.
They're slowly making their way through 28mm. I'm hoping for a Beast myself.

I could have sworn I saw a Beast model before-in a similar pose to Spidey. Am I losing my mind? Bummer about Storm so far. Not because I'm a fan of her, but I'd feel awful putting a Heroclix storm on the table next to a Knights Minis Cyclops, Magneto and Wolverine. Thanks for the heads up, I'm pretty unable to get on the Knights website while at work.
Their marvel line has hit a slump with all the batman releases. Some of the marvel models also suck bad hard. Hopefully when they get round to the supers game the marvel line will start getting bigger and better

I don't want to even know about those thanks!
I wonder why they stopped making them, did they lose the license?
If I recall correctly - and I may not do - they had the license after WotC let it go, and then lost it (or gave it up due to the cost) which allowed FFG to get it.
Edit: On the matter of the BMG does anyone know if there are some new leaders coming out? I had a passing interest in doing the Birds of Prey but it feels like - as the heroes - you can have any leader for your crew as long as he comes in black. Or sometimes very, very dark grey.
I'd like a Mad Hatter and a gang of rabbit-headed mooks. I rabbit-batman would be nice but I guess there's little chance of that. Also still waiting for my Hugo Strange, waiting too long for one!!
Siygess wrote: If I recall correctly - and I may not do - they had the license after WotC let it go, and then lost it (or gave it up due to the cost) which allowed FFG to get it..
WotC's licence was for a collectible miniatures game. KM had a separate licence at the same time, just for miniatures with no game.
I doubt KM 'lost' the licence. In most cases when companies don't renew Star Wars licences, it's because the high cost of the licence results in the range not being profitable. (WotC was the exception there... they chose not to renew so they could refocus on their 'core' of D&D and MtG, despite SWM at that time being a better seller for them...)
Those are full retail prices. I'm hoping, over time, that he can get those prices down. He does have the most current models in North America, but that only really matters if you need to most current.
Miniature Market, Warstore, a couple others, have better prices, but limited stock, often not able to get new models for 3 or more months. Best price/newest models are available in UK stores (Troll Trader, Outpost, etc) but you pay for international shipping and often have a long wait.
Arkham knight is out in a matter of weeks. Will we get tie in models like the Arkham Knight or yet another batman with even more crazy expensive gadgets? Perhaps a more interesting scarecrow?
To be fair, he certainly has had one of the most significant stories in the Bat universe in the past couple of decades. I put him on par with Bane/Black Mask for having a single good story, only Hush's story was probably the best written of the bunch. And the point being that he was not yet in BMG and was probably the most anticipated in the recent months. I mean, he's no Firefly or Joker's Daughter...
Regardless, real news that might interest some here. MiniatureMarket has a fair amount of BMG on clearance for some REAL nice prices.
Loving the clearance deals. Now only if I could afford them...
Also I have been waiting for Hush even though I dont know much about him, and have not read his story yet. What is it called?
Also the new game I think has scarecrow as the main villain (and has some added DLCs or something with him in it) so I imagine in the next month or two would be a perfect time to release the scarecrow crew as it would co-inside with him being the main villain of the new game (Also I am a big scarecrow fanatic and really want to see his crew).

Sweet the court of owls is now in play! Also Firefly. I don't know much about their background but now I have to worry about a flying sniper on the table? Sigh, Batman better bring his A game.
... also really like the look of those safe boxes. I have no idea why but they look cool.
Guess this is fireflys current look? His old look was pretty basic, adding a bunch of detail didn't improve tho. How long are they going to make me wait for a Terrible Trio gang? And KGBeast! And NKVDemon!
Just noticed a bunch of batman figures on clearance through miniaturemarket.com. Not sure why, they might be clearing out the line, I'm not up to date on the game are they repackaging things and this could be their way of clearing out the old packs?
Miniature Market do a lot of clearance don't they? I don't think there's anything sinister to it, just that they're aggressive about not keeping stock beyond a certain amount of time.
Heads up for UK folks, Wayland have quite a few character/gang boosters in stock and selling at 40% off. Sadly no Batman or Joker, but they've got a lot of the Marvel ones and less popular Batman villains/allies for about £8 a model.
Looks like the Arkham Asylum MDF kit will be available soon. A couple of set shave been sent out to bloggers to review.
Having seen one in the flesh they are very nice but I dread to think how much they are going to cost!
Aargh, the more I play Arkham, the more I read about this game and the more I want to try it! I've got a few questions, if anyone can answer:
In terms of starting out, would a hero vs a basic gang set be enough for a game, or do I need more than that? For example, a Batman and the Ras/League set?
For full games, are all-hero teams doable? Could I fit, say, Batman, Robin and Batgirl into a list? Or Ras, Talia and Nyssa?
Can anyone point me towards suitable proxy minis for cops/basic thugs (anything in the 32-35mm scale, 28 seems too small)? If I can cut down the costs, I'm much more interested in starting.

Try out any of the Heroclix minis, you can get each around $ 1-4.
I have an Commissioner Gordon from the Arkham set on the repaint table and it fits perfectly to KM.

Robin looks good, from the neck down and minus whatever the hells going on with his right hand. Ugly head, like the game i guess. Damian remains the only non awful robin
ArtIsGreat wrote: Robin looks good, from the neck down and minus whatever the hells going on with his right hand. Ugly head, like the game i guess. Damian remains the worst robin
Fixed that for ya. Agreed though that the head here looks like pants.
Sorry, foot on rock-hands on hips is still better than lame standing there robin, this new horrorshow and dancing Red Hood. Details are pretty, poses are kind of gak.
O WELL it is still a batman game giving me the option of having 4 different robins, and nightwing. 5 Robins!
Killer Frost is nice, more hands on hips but ok. She in one of the games? What other gakky Firestorm villains can we look forward to? A multiplex 4 pack with Multiplex as the band leader with Multiplex as sidekick and a couple Multiplex for henchmen, i'd buy it.
I actually really like the Arkham City Robin, the Red Hood and Nightwing far more than this one, but the Damien Wayne I really don't like.
This new one would look alright if you sculpted on a hood and got rid of whatever is in his right hand (I don't recall him using anything like that in the game itself), but I'd rather just get the original hooded AC mini.

He used it in arkham city, was a bullet shield type thing. Didn't use it in Knight though.
Actually he has it in Arkham Knight as well. You don't get to play as Robin too much during the main story though, so you might just have missed it in his gadget listing.
It also doesn't help that for whatever reason, Knight Models has Robin with his bo staff in one hand and his bullet shield in the other. The bullet shield is PART of the bo staff.

You might be right about him having the gadget in Arkham Knight actually. As you rightly say you don't get that much play time as Robin.
Yeah that confused me too. I was pretty sure his staff and shield are one in the same so no idea why he has both in the pictures I assumed maybe I had remembered incorrectly.
That explains it, then! Although at point in the game I was too busy punching stuff to fiddle with gadgets, I'll pay more attention in my current play through!
Still not sure I like it on the mini, though, and I agree that him using two Bos at once doesn't look good. I guess you could easily remove the left handed one, but I'd rather the other one went.
Honestly, I only realized that Robin had it when I was goofing around with his gadgets during the bit you get to play him. His(and the other dual team partners--Catwoman and Nightwing) gadget listing was pretty lackluster.
Anyone wanting Killer Frost in the UK, Wayland have her for about £8 today. Don't know if that'll be any saving over someone like Troll Trader after shipping, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

On a side note, can't wait to see this month's previews turn up, this may be my new favourite game/range! My wallet, of course, disagrees!
I would also like to point out that the AK Robin also has a hooded head option as well, for those who disliked the bare head option
As for this months releases, I'm afraid from what I'm reading in the official FB group is that people are saying that there are no releases this month due to KM moving factories or something along those lines
Sad times when you're waiting for a Freeze starter set and when lots of people are eagerly awaiting the AK Scarecrow gang starter and the AK himself
Don't suppose you have a pic of the AK Robin with the hood? That and possibly removing one Bo could save the mini.
From the BMG forums regarding this month's release (or lack thereof)
I don't know how all the gears work, but I know several things were down to the wire- some fairly major rewrites, and an insane amount of playtesting went in just hours before the printing deadline last week. I will say that the new stuff is pretty cool, and I am excited to see how players react to it.
KM underwent some major changes this month, with warehousing and moving, so it is impressive that they even still have
I imagine things are in DC's mighty hands of approval now....... which is unfortunately anyone's guess. Of course, everyone is excited to see/get the new releases- but patience is good!
So there is 'something' made and scheduled for this month, but it may or may not be released 'this month'. No idea if they're planning to double up in September or what.
I'm really hoping we get the Scarecrow/AK crew sooner rather than later.
Not a character I have any great interest in, but nice enough models.
And from the forums:
Red Hood Arkham Knight
The Riddler And Bot Army
The Riddler's Bot Army Set I
Harley Quinn´S Thugs Set I
Azrael Arkham Knight
Hugo Strange And Inmates
BMG Small Bases
The Riddler Markers
Bat-Signal Objective Marker
Red Hood Markers
To which all I can say is Azreal Azreal Azreal Azreal...Azreal!
Didn't look great in the game, look worse here! Not the riddler gang I was hoping for. Query and Echo would be cool, I'd have been happy with goons with question marks on their chests...
Coming right up!
GW, KM ninja, WGF 28mm, KM Ra's (very out of scale with the rest of the BMG range), AK Batman, Infinity
GW, KM Merc, WGF 28m, KM Deathstroke, Infinity, KM merc, Deadzone, KM Bane
I think you could certainly get away KM alongside the newer Infinity without much trouble, less so with GW. There is a fair amount of scale difference in the km range itslef, but so far Ra's is the only real issue I've found.
Azreal in an instant buy, and that Red Hood gives the other one some very stiff competition! Going to have a tough call to make when I pick up one RH or the other (or both).
Bring on the stat cards!

Riddler Bots:

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from the TINY text cards, all of the riddlebots have generic riddle based powers? As in no beep boop explode robot type stuff? That would be great, nothing stopping me from using human goon proxies.
The Bots have two rules, one that would definitely work with goons instead and one that would need a bit of explaining to really fit.
The former is the ability to place 'clue markers' which give you one VP per marker in play at the end of each round. The latter is the inability to heal or recover from a KO, which is a little trickier to fluffify, but doable, just say Riddler's ego means he only employs inferior thugs!
No probs, only the wimpiest, most cowardly thug dregs would gravitate towards Riddler in a town filled with awesome crime bosses! I can totally believe these feebs would play dead when KO'd
TThe last 26 September, differents tournaments in USA, UK, Canada and Spain were organized by Knigh Models to celebrate the Batman Day. I have attended the spanish event of Batman Miniature Game and was very cool, but the UK tournament looks awesome, they played the tournament in Wollaton Hall (wayne's mannor in the Dark Knight Rises movie). You can see a video from the UK tournament here:
Yeeaaah! Scarecrow and the Knight in the same month? It's like Christmas... in that it'll probably be Christmas before my wallet has recovered from my last splurge enough to get them (Nyssa, Birds of Prey, Court of Owls, Joker and Harley crews for £60? Don't mind if I do!) but these guys are definitely on the list now! Not sure the paintwork does the militia too many favours, but the minis themselves look great!
That's cool. I've been house-ruling with DS as a 'leader' (as in, he's still a Free Agent for rule/VP purposes, you just don't need to take a Leader/Sidekick) for a Bane gang anyway (as I think the Mercs suit him well fluff-wise, and Venom Thug doubles for a Mirakuru Soldier) but this is a nice addition.
Actually, I'd kind of like to see an Arrow-based Deathstroke crew... Slade as a Leader, Isobel Rochev and Sebastian Blood as Sidekicks, then Mirakuru Soldiers and Mercenaries (as well as prisoners and loonies) as Henchmen. That could be pretty cool...

Do it! You know you want to!
To be honest, with the minis available vs how many you'd need in a game, you can do a decent Suicide Squad already. Depending on the version you go with, it could be as few models as
Harley
Deadshot
Bane
Or you could be a bit more creative and have, say, something like Talia counts-asing for Katana or the High Security Prisoner as Bronze Tiger. You'd need to house rule a little to get all these minis working together, but a Suicide Squad is playable.
That said, I'd like to see a Suicide Squad list, maybe with Waller as a leader and ARGUS agents as Henchmen.

The Suicide Squad that would be fun is the one from Assault on Arkham. The team is Harley, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Killer Frost, King Shark and Black Spider. Three of those are available at the moment, so fingers crossed for the others.
Mad Hatter has been around in the comics for decades. He is often accompanied by other themed characters from the Wonderland like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, the WHite Rabbit, the March Hare, and others.
Speaking of which, here's the cards from the Wonderland set. Mad Hatter comes in cheap with a big gun, we get some cross gang membership for Joker and Bane, and we get the first Beam weapon.

I'm currently in the works of making datafiles to use in battlescribe. I've released on the arkham city limits Facebook page, it currently only has crews for batman, green arrow, court of owls, law enforcement, watchmen, scarecrow. But I'm currently in the middle of the joker crew and the wonderland gang crew. If I'm allowed to post the repository for battlescribe here I'll be more than happy to.

Seconded, I knew there was an Army Builder file was being worked on, but I prefer Battlescribe. I'm pretty sure there's absolutely no issue with posting a link to the repository here.

Where do you buy from to get it at that cost!?
There was a seller in Swap Shop who I guess was clearing out a collection. There's still a few bits left if you're after some. £6 for a blister, £!2 for a crew box, free UK postage... yeah, it's a steal! http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/663087.page
Tried it out and it worked fine for me. I don't know the rules for any of the gangs so I didn't check those. I'm not sure if I missed it or if Battlescribe allows it but is a $ count possible?
The gangs don't have any specific rules and as far as I could see battlescribe doesn't have a way to do two separate point systems that's why I put the $ amounts in the name, that you'll have to manually keep track of yourself. Also some of the rules have descriptions as I was testing things but I'm not going to worry about them until I have all the crews done.
Battle scribe files seemed good, thanks for your effort, it's very much appreciated!
On a side note what size gaming are is used for a standard sized game (300 rep isn't it?). I went in the KS foe Battlesystems post apocalyptic terrain as it seemed perfect for this game, the terrain comes with a 2x2 mat.
3x3 is the standard board size, smaller than that you might struggle to fit in objectives (though you could just use, say, 2 a side rather than 3, or reduce the deployment zone sizes), and much bigger and you risk handing too much to high-mobility models like anyone with a Batclaw.
Look at it this way; if you're buying from that seller you're saving as much as you're spending, so it all cancels out and you've spent nothing... Right?
If you've got any questions or need any tips, we've got a general discussion thread for the game down in the misc minis forum. There's some handy links in the OP. Looking forward to seeing your endeavours!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Shame you got in on the crews before I saw it. Joker and harley would have been great. Shame there was no bane stuff on sale. Still a great deal.
How long have the cards been linked for individual download? I spent the afternoon going through and downloading them all.
I plan on trying it out with Heroclix thanks to the cards and the rulebook being free.
Gotta figure out if I enjoy this before I start buying random stuff
Pretty sure the cards have always been free, up until last week there was an excellent crew builder that hosted them all in one place but that's now defunct.
And on the note of cards, in the absence of Bat-builder and my inability to write anything for Battlescribe or Army Builder or such, I've started to put together 'codexes' that collect all a faction's cards in one place. It might not be that useful as an in-game reference, but you can get the KM cards for that, this is more for keeping track of who works with who, and being able to compare stats without having to have a million tabs open.
Hope the mods are OK with this, all this information is made available freely by KM so there shouldn't be an issue.
Batman got done first, I'll try and keep these coming but I can't promise I'll be uber-speedy as I do have a lot on right now. Similarly, I'll try to keep them updated with new releases, but it may a while before that happens after each release.
Hope this is of some use to someone. If you guys want a version that's more print-friendly, with the backgrounds and pretty pics removed, then just say and I'll try and put something together for that!
Oh, and Swamp Thing is missing as I can't find his card in image rather than PDF form. If anyone has it in a form that can be inserted into a word doc then feel free to PM it to me.
Yeah, the KM card pics aren't in the best resolution; there's a theory that they do it deliberately to get you to buy the minis, but I don't think it's anything that devious.
Another reason to miss Bat-builder, they had lovely high-res pics of all the cards!
I've not as I'm not on FB, feel free to post it over there if you're a member. The more people make use of this the better.
Law should be easy enough, I can just cut and paste all the henchmen from Batman, add Gordon, Loeb and Branden, Batgirl and Batwoman. That's it, isn't it?
Ok, Law up next, then I'll do Arrow as again that's largely a C&P job from Batman, and then I'll throw something together for the Court as that'll only take about 10 minutes.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Law crew is up, I'm putting them down in the general discussion thread so as not to clog up this one.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Arrow's done too. That's me done for the day, not sure if I'll have any more free time before next weekend but I'll do me best. If you've got any requests, let me know! (and I have noticed that I missed Mr Freeze from Batman's list, I'll fix that at some point)
Has KM expressed interest in doing an official version of Bat-Builder or similar? I wasn't into the game yet but I did mess around with it a little and it seemed very interesting.
I believe there is 'some kind' of replacement for the Builder in the works, from what I've seen on the forum, but it's no more 'official' than BB was. There's at least one person working on Army Builder files, one for Battlescribe and then there's my own contribution with the 'codexes'. I guess we'll see what turns up.
I cannot wait for this months release to hit retailers. I can finally start the much awaited scarecrow crew (my favorite guy). If only I could a group to play it now....

Definitely a Sidekick for Scarecrow, not sure about the Free Agent thing as he seems pretty single-minded in the game. Though perhaps, given the ending

perhaps give him Affinity:Batman? I know the new Red Hood basically covers that, but if they did it for Bane and Freeze, both based on one Arkham mission where they teamed up, I could see them doing it for the Knight.
Hopefully, he'll be in the 90-110 point range, as I think he needs to be someone who can genuinely go toe-to-toe with some of the heaviest hitters in the game. This guy did nearly beat Batman, after all. Oh, and he better have a Batclaw.
Also, its interesting to note that there is a preorder out there in the web for a "comic book Talia," meaning we'll get another Talia soon too.
Good spot, that hadn't been mentioned on the offical forums but yeah, it's definitely listed on Wayland. Not 100% sure how different they can make her from the Arkham one visually (Talia basically comes in black, leather or black leather as far as I can tell) but more options is always good. Wonder if this version will have a ranged weapon; I know there was an alternate Talia promo card at an event a year or so back that had a crossbow...

Automatically Appended Next Post: Annoyingly, seems you can't fit all the Scarecrow releases in a single crew under 350 points, which is a shame (it's a total 270 Rep, but the Funding costs too much between the Knight and the two Militia gunmen). So hopefully we'll get a blister next month that takes adds 80-odd points on...
Remember, you can take Inmates, Prisoners and Free Agents to make it 350, and therefore have the funding.
Lexcorp is very interesting. First acknowledged Crew outside the rulebook. I wonder if it will be a full crew or something closer to the Gotham Sirens.
Also, this Talia has True Love: Batman but no way to be in a Batman Crew. So, it only works if you are fighting against Batman and KO him? Still, I like the model and the ruleset, and the homage to the Baroness...
Yeah, It's definitely doable if you sub in some Blackgates or Loonies. I was just kind of hoping that I could grab this month's releases, call it a crew and be done, as that would be a nice little package. Still, both Harley and Riddler got their first Henchmen packs within a month, so I'd be very surprised if we don't see a Militia pack next month.
I picked up on the Talia/TL: Bruce Wayne thing, I guess it works if you're fighting him and kill him (didn't realise the rule applied to enemy models, that would have made my hilarious 'Batman KOs Talia, Talia gets back up, Stabs Batman through the face' incident even stranger, with the addition of 'Talia then goes mental becuase she killed Batman'. )... or Bruce Wayne is somehow going to tie in to the Lexcorp faction... Aren't there some rumours about the new film that it's Lex that sets up Batman to take on Supes? In which case can we hope for film minis? In which case, can I get the Power Armour Batman RIGHT NOW please?
Bit of a leap of logic there I admit, but I really, really hope we see DoJ-based minis including the Iron-Bat armour at some point. Even better would be if the Supers game launches alongside DoJ and Civil War....
League Batman is approachable from a few angles. Demon's Head, Batman Begins, Arkham Origins. They could do Batman as freelance non-Batman too if they wanted to work the angle presented in Arkham Knight. (don't want to spoil it but it involves the uninvited guest-star)
Holy smeg, that's made my day! It appears last month's releases aren't there, but oh well, this is still a hell of a lot better than nothing!
I'll still continue with my 'codex' project, a) in case the builder vanishes again and b) because it's fun, but even then, I now have access to high resolution pics of all the cards!
I'd be all over that if I had a local gaming group/store! The more people I can inspire/bully/coerce/bribe into BMG the better! Alas, neither my home nor uni address has anywhere close that I could really push the game.
Good luck to anyone who can get out there and get promoting this excellent game!
So instead I'll just be disappointed that the announcement wasn't that the Sons of Batman were being added as minis in the game. That would be awesome!
Probably worth going for. You're already doing a lot of promotion for the game online, so even if you could just run real life demos and stuff on a semi-regular basis then that would probably suffice. Worst case scenario, they simply reject your application, best case you get to spread the joy of BMG to your local gamers
Good morning, we are glad to introduce you our new brand of products: Knight Models Legends! This brand is intended to be used to release new ranges of special models and awesome stuff for Batman Miniature Game and projects in the future. To celebrate the presentation of this new brand we would like to share with you a sneak preview of one of our future releases. What do you think it is? and most important...what do you expect of this new brand? smile emoticon
Ooooh....Hopefully this won't be some kind of limited-edition, wallet-breakingly expensive stuff, but I could definitely get behind resin Batmobiles and special models...
I am wondering if/how they plan to incoperate the Batmobile into the game, especially this version with its near-impenetrable armour and massive guns... There are a couple of weapons with the Anti-tank rule that have been around for quite some time, so I guess it's been planned, but still, it'll be interesting to see how they go about this.
Still, if they are willing to introduce more powerful/expensive (in points) models in the game then that gives me some hope for the slow introduction of low/mid level supers. If you can have a bat-tank with more firepower than some small nations but I can't have John Constantine or The Atom, then something ain't right....
Out of interest, how much would you guys expect/be happy to pay for a resin Batmobile in 35mm scale? Personally, I don't think I'd want to go much above £25-ish, so I fully expect to be priced out on this one, but the Eaglemoss ones go for about £10-15 on ebay all the time and scale well enough, so if the rules are fun I might just grab one of them.
Price would be hard to guess. This line, with the IP affixed, is already on the premium side.
I'm more concerned about the in-game points cost. Too low and we start to see the GM huge-scale model requirements; too high and there's not much need. I don't think the game scales well as the points get past 400 or so.
This could be entirely a high-end level of models. More collector than game pieces.
Or, this could be the introduction of the "supers" game. An armored Batcar is much more appropriate in a fight against the Thing and Wolverine than against Bane's mercs and Two-Face's goons.
That is the inherent drawback of powerful single models in BMG, as the whole game is very mission-based. So that goes for models like Titan Bane and Bats, it would go double for a Batmobile.
The Hot Wheels version of the AK Batmobile looks pretty good. I'd wager the prices will be similar. Funny enough, I've been shopping Batmobiles for 28-32mm over the last month or two. A word of caution, if you are looking to the Hot Wheels lines for alternatives, the 1:50 ones are nowhere near 1:50 (the Batpod is) so go with the 1:43 Elite if you are going that route.
True I have a few of the Eaglemoss releases myself for terrain purposes and a few homebrewed objectives for fun.
Once this puppy comes out though I plan on getting it for sure. Kinda relieved I haven't been able to pick up the Eaglemoss one yet (Plus the gun is deployed on the AK Bamobile while it's in car mode on the Eaglemoss version. Nitpicky, I know lol)
Knight Models official painting contest announced today. Its based on painting their models in an alternate color scheme. Deadline is not until the last week of the year.

I plan on eventually getting the Hot Wheels and Eaglemoss AK Batmobile so I can have one for pursuit mode and one for battle mode. Gotta wait for that budget to fill back up though... eesh. At the moment I have the 1:43 Diecast ERTL Batmobile from the Tim Burton Batman (the first one).
Does anyone know a good place to buy the rulebook (preferably US)? I have the free one from the site but would prefer being able to put sticky notes and bookmarks and stuff.
drazz wrote: MLaw: I'm partial to miniature Market. They have it in stock right not for $50.
Also pretty sure the PDF has been overruled by the current rulebook in several points.
I'm new to the game so did not know that about the PDF. I thought they had just released the version of the PDF that's on the site but I am probably mistaken.
As far as I know, the only differences between the PDF and the hardback rulebook (for which they have promised a free PDF, but it has yet to materialise) a clearing up of the translation, a change to some of the objectives (Riddles work differently, Safe Boxes were introduced) and a few minor rule tweaks. For playing among friends, the PDF should be fine.
It's more than just tweaks, some things were outright changed. As you said it's fine as long as everyone is playing with the same rules, but know you may be playing some things just plain wrong.

I really don't get the idea of an unpainted AK Batmobile, when so good alternatives are around...
My Hot Wheels Elite Batmobile and Knight Model AK Batman Mk 8 Suit
New announcement from Knight Models. Their new line is theoretically the KM equivalent to Forge World. Also, full pic of their Arkham.
Due to the questions, guesses and predictions from the community following the reveal of Knight Models Legends this week, we would like to explain a little more about our new brand and what the future will hold for it.
Knight Models Legends was created with the idea of bringing the magic of comic book universes to our original product range. Iconic Buildings, detailed vehicles and even alternate miniature lines will all become reality with this new brand. We will be using different materials such as resin for many future releases as we would like KM Legends to be known for its superior quality.
The entire Knight Models Legends range will only be available in our online store, so we thought this would be a great time to combine it with the release of an entire new website design. One of the first new products you will find on there after launch will be our alredy famous Arkham Asylum.
We hope you are as excited by this new project as we are and we promise that this will be a VERY special new year at Knight Models. All of this is thanks to you, the fans!

We're still wondering that about Arkham Knight.
Oh snap!
No seriously, the Batmobile in that game was awesome, but there was just too much of it.
Nice one! Perhaps they'll introduce new Riddler objectives that require you to play a totally random racing minigame to get VPs? Or how about a rule that items that up until now have been easy to destroy with Explosive Gel now require you to use the Batmobile cannon.
Or perhaps they'll just add a 1:100 scale tank battle as a side game...

Yeah, I'm not putting a price on it until we've actually seen the complexity/size/quality of the model. Going on what it 'should' be like based on the game's design and size, I'd probably put it in the £25-30 region depending on how big/fiddly it ends up being. But I'd love to paint one, so when it does come out I shall be open to negotiation...
MLaw wrote: Wow.
That's stunning! Hopefully it's either sold in sections or they accept first born children..
To be fair, it appears to be HDF, like a lot of recent terrain hitting the market, with some metal gargoyles. HDF terrain doesn't tend to be super pricey for the size.
I actually would as well - it would make a fantastic board for Malifaux. Just don't put in the guard towers, and maybe make the entrance into a graveyard. It's got that warped Victorian look going on.
Heads up anyone planning on ordering this weekend, KM are throwing a free set of acrylic Scarecrow markers with any order made from their store between the 30th Oct and the 1st Nov:
They're going on general release in November, so you get them a bit earlier this way as well.
Due to the increase in raw material costs, we must unfortunately raise the cost some of our miniature range.
We have avoided raising our prices for as long as possible, but we can no longer avoid it. A new Price List will go into effect on November 15th 2015. Any orders placed between now and 15th November will be honored at current prices.
We thank you for your understanding and hope that you will understand the necessity for this change.
Best regards.

Crap, so that is happening. I'd heard the rumours, but didn't want to believe them...
I appreciate costs do go up, but depending on the magnitude of the increase I might have to buy these far less frequently now. £11-12 is about the uppermost I'm happy to pay for a mini and these are already there, so we shall see...
I've heard 10% as the figure, but only from a poster on the BMG forums. That would pretty much wipe out the discount I usually buy at, which is very annoying.
They dipped pretty aggressively a few months ago, and are coming back up, but they're still low compared to five years ago.
And to be fair, the raw material cost is not terribly excessive when it comes to metal miniatures that you are paying more than five bucks for. There's probably less than a dollar of raw material cost in a model of that size. Spikes in the price of tin will drive that up, of course, but even if the price doubled (which is hasn't) you're still talking about $2 of raw material in a $15 model.
When tin prices go up, much more modestly priced models take a big hit in profit margin. When the COGS on a $5 model goes up by $0.10 or $0.20, that's a much larger percentage of the retail price.
Eldarain wrote: Glad I already have a large collection but that doesn't sound good for future purchases/getting more people into it.
They are already rather pricey as it is.
Exactly. Which is why modest fluctuations in raw material costs should have a comparatively less significant impact on profit margin than for products that use same amount of material, but sell for a third or less.
You're paying for the art, the license, and the game when you pay $15 for a table top Batman miniature. You aren't paying for the metal.
Yeah the models are already expensive enough that many people are relucutant to buy them. It stopped me picking any up for a long time. A price increase isn't going to help that.
If they go up too much it will make GW's $30 CDN plastics look like a good deal... $5-10 more for GW over KM and you get a much better detailed miniature in most cases.
Most blister for BMG are available with a 10-20% discount from online stores as it is, so this 10% increase isn't going to make a massive difference.
I already pay £9.50 a blister, so I don't see it going much past £11.
Also, any wargaming hobby is a luxury hobby. It's all disposable income at the end of the day.

Don't forget the licensing fees that KM have to pay that GW don't.
And I would argue against GW having better quality minis. KM's miniatures are stunning, and worth every penny.
