I'd say Huntress, but then I'm hoping for a Birds of Prey "gang" down the line.

Did he even make an appearance/get a mention in Arkham City?

Azrael maybe (as he does show up a few times during Arkham City), and Catwoman. Remember that it's based on Arkham City, and there was no Batgirl in that (Oracle was there, but I don't think an ex-Batgirl in a wheelchair will be all that useful in combat).

While 'based on' Arkham City, I bet they'll expand it a bit, if possible, as it would be necessary for a healthy game with a bright future!
However, having said that, I'm psyched that Azrael's actually in Arkham City!
I haven't payed the game yet - soon! - but since he's in, hopefully that means he'll be getting a miniature and rules!

They never said it was limited to Arkham City, it just the theme the are going for. There facebook page even makes it sound like they not going to just limit to it either.
With... "The game includes the most important characters created by Bob Kane, like Batman himself, Robin, Nightwing, etc. aided by the Ghotam City
Police trying to stop the gangs led by the most infamous criminals and psychopaths of the DC Comics universe, like The Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, the immortal Rash al Goul and many others. " and "Batman universe has a very rich and detailed background, with over 65 years of comic-books, tv shows, movies, etc." No where dose it say only Arkham City will be used.

Right, we know that.
There was some discussion a while back about the specifics of licensing agreements, and how 'specific' this one might, or might not, be.

And then there's the fact that virtually every picture has 'Arkham City' on it, and that the visual design of every single mini so far is based upon their Arkham City appearance. Plus those quotes above list no character that isn't in Arkham City.
Therefore, slashing at this with Occam's Razor, we find that it's most likely an Arkham City game, with Arkham City characters, based on Arkham City.

Or the style of Arkham makes better models in there eyes, so they called it Arkham City s everyone knows what there going for. It's never been said one way or the other, one limits what the could put in and there profit, the other lets them keep going for a long, long time. From a business point of view, not limiting it mean they can go pretty much forever.

Did you miss the Occam's Razor part?
The simplest solution is often the best, and if it walks like Arkham City, talks like Arkham City and smells like Arkham City then it's probably related to Arkham City.

Perhaps, but the description of the game from their facebook actually reads more like a description of a game set during No Man's Land than Arkham City. The two do share similar concepts, but, as stated, sticking purely to Arkham City rather than using it as a draw for a larger player base would be very limiting to the future of the game.

As to Batman's gang, given the abilities he is generally depicted as having, I would assume it would just be Bats v. the entire enemy gang (named baddie plus redshirts) if they are looking for an even match. Somebody like Azrael or Robin would need either each other or some GPD backup to call it even.

Anyone know if the recently released Heroclix Batman vehicles will scale well with these figures?
Or, if 1:50 scale vehicles will?
Thanks!
60720
Post by: OrlandotheTechnicoloured
True 28mm scale (6 ft human = 28mm to top of the head) is suposed to be 1/56 in scale terms
so if my rough maths work is ok
1/48 = 32.6mm
1/50 = 31.4mm
Knight models say these are 35mm so you'd might be able to get away with 1/48 (although if the minis are too heroic in build things might be a bit off)
As far a heroclix goes I don't know what size they are equivalent to (but I found lots of folk asking). Maybe see if anybody at the FLGS plays and will show you one?

Well, look at it like this. You could get lucky and pull one your first box, in which case you pay less, or you could end up pulling it after 6 boxes, which will be much more than just buying one off eBay or other website that sells singles.
If you're not a Clix player or plan to become one, the outright purchase is probably worth it in the long run.

HeroClix is, you must understand, a collectable miniature game. Just think of the various boxes like booster packs of M:tG cards (as indeed the boxes are called booster packs). If you are looking for specific things, Trolland toad.com are a quite good source for singles. Miniature market also carries singles.

I myself have been playing HC since the very first starter set was released. Personally, I've stopped buying boosters. I've enough Clix to fill 3+ large tackleboxes(and they DO). I really only want certain pieces(especially since they keep redoing the big names) from the newer sets, so I buy singles.

I understand the concept of a CMG, I was just wondering how they are sold, since there have been a few times when certain vehicles and the like were sold in open boxes and since the box had the Batmobile on it, I assumed it would be a similar situation here.

I picked one up today, the cockpit is slightly small (looks far more like a one seater) but otherwise is a nice model for the price. (Batman is very slender! but with a repaint may look ok with Zombicide figs or similar).

Hey Guys,
Sorry for the delay in providing people with updates on here. I have been in hospital as stated previously due to unforeseen health issue arising and with the Xmas close down as well which has slowed us down!! I have updated our Facebook page with information regarding our large stock order with Knight Models.
Knight Models have been overwhelmed with the success of this range and have run out of their first stock run... This obviously puts a bit of strain onto the retailer as we then have customers chasing where their order is...
We have contacted Knight Models and they have informed us that their next stock run is inbound from their warehouse. With this in mind we should receive this in early next week and finally allow us to satisfy all our customer orders. This so far has NOT been good business and we feel that this delay can cause a negative effect on customers using many retailers again!!
Hopefully Knight Models can start to work more closely with retailers in the future!!
I do apologise very largely and hope that the wait wont be for too long now!

I guess it's a combination of the (arguably) best Batman version in years, a company doing really sweet models and a tabletop game to boot. If it just would've been Arkham miniatures I might've gotten a Bane, but I'm really interested in a system based around gang fights in Goham, instead of the huge super battles in Heroclix.

For a small business refunds can kill all of the profit you made(if any sometimes) but compared to Privateer Press Knights models is fast and that's sad. Try waiting upwards of 3 months for a restock

Empchild, does that mean no more preorders through you? I was planning on using battleroad as my exclusive knights minis dealer!

Unfortunately what Emp is saying is true! The amount of demands we have had for refunds have all but left us with a pile of unsold stock, which in turn has sucked our profits right down the pan! But this is good in the long run as we now have it in stock on demand!
We are offering them still as pre-order and hoping that KM are faster with the next batch! After all our first order from them came within days...
The thing that did make it better for us was when customers were demanding refunds, we were just informing them that even the BIG companies (don't need to mention the names) are in this position at present and cant supply due to no product!!

Not being a store owner, I totally missed how this was screwing with you guys.
1) Put items up for pre-order. Excitement builds. People order a whole bunch.
2) Order a whole bunch to fill all the pre-orders.
3) Company take a long time to deliver.
4) People want refunds.
5) Refunds given.
6) Stock finally arrives, only now there is excess due to refunds.
Ouch!
OK, much wiser to wait until miniatures are available to take any additional orders!

Seems like its kind of a non win deal for the small store owner, offer them for presale and a bunch of people cancel and you've got a ton of stock, offer them for presale as noncancellable and people would likely still freak out and turn into a customer service issue. Maybe you could do some sort of dakka only presale and only after making it painfully clear to the person ordering them that it might take a while to get the figs

I'd be OK with that option, especially with Empchild and Battleroad for us USA customers.

Croc is a big boy, isn't he?
Anyone got more info on the game cards that are in the blisters?
I thought it was interesting how the ones in the Joker crew box look different from the single model blister ones.

By the time of Arkham City, Croc had managed to get the electro-collar off his neck. So it makes sense if you want to represent Croc as he is in AC rather than AA.

Croc is heavy Warbeast big, but with a much more human shape than the Gators.
They supply him with a 40mm base, but if the rules don't require it, I'm thinking a 50mm will work better.

Every single released mini is from the Arkham games with exception of two based upon a recently released Batman movie (ie. strike whilst the iron is hot). It is far smaller a leap in logic to assume that DKR Batman/Bane combo is a one-off than it is to say that we're suddenly going to get a whole slew of non-Arkham related characters.

Nothing they every posted on there facebook page points to just Arkham, except the name of the game. Even the brubs for the game hint at a wider range then just Arkham. As it's not "Batman Miniature Game is a skirmish game based on the Arkham video game ", but "Batman Miniature Game is a skirmish game based on the broad Batman universe". Seem no one noticed that part.
Edit, and as there are 2 non-arkham models, they never said only Arkham characters and they bill the game as "the broad Batman universe", it's not much of a leap to say it not only limited to Arkham video game.

There are no starter sets really, nor are there really factions. There are a couple crew boxes (Joker and Penguin) but from what I've been able to gather you would need to buy some additional kits to actually be able to run them.
Start on page 1 and read it through til you run out of posts, that should get you up to speed.

I have a few left on my webstore http://www.battleroadhobbies.com/arkam-city-batman/ to be honest though I would act quick as I am taking my remaining inventory to Templecon and it's a safe bet it will sell there next weekend. Talia Al Ghul: $20.11
Scarecrow: $20.11

Penguins thugs: $20.11
Most likely I will round down and looking at my order sheet I am ordering in quantities of 5 personally. Now for those wanting the Comic book/cartoon style bane I believe he runs $37.75 and soyou know this is off of the current value from xe.com.

She never has been a good actress, esp. not in this weird movie. And a blonde niece of Alfred with an eye mask has nothing to do with Batgirl (red headed daughter of commissioner James Gordon with bat ear mask), not even when wearing leather fetish clothes.

Babs doesn't need to be imprisoned in a wheelchair when other heroes aren't stopped by death. I despise the special interest group argument that DC needs to keep her in the chair to show that "handicapped people can be superheroes too." As Oracle, Babs was basically a high powered secretary -- NOT a superhero (unless you count comic adventures that occurred purely in virtual reality). If DC or anyone else was actually serious about depicting handicapped people as superheroes they would handle the topic with an A-lister rather than putting another B-list or lower female character "in a refrigerator" and pretending the result is poignant. That's WTF.

I never really thought of Oracle as a "high powered secretary"...
By the same vein of her "not being a superhero", I consider Batman to be the same thing.
They are individuals whose true power lies not in their fists but their intellects.

Uh no. Please look at any Batman comic, movie, game, etc, and you will see him jumping all over the place and doing bat-fu. I don't have many red button issues but the idea that Babara Gordon should be kept in a wheelchair is one of them.

Doom Patrol's Chief is also in a wheelchair, Doctor Mid-Night is (in some incarnations) blind, both DC characters.
I've always been fond of Oracle, but at the same time the ease with which various people bounce back from injury was always at odds with Babs' paralysis (Selina Kyle had her heart cut out and replaced and went back to her job as an acrobatic burglar).
Edit: to be somewhat on topic, any pictures of these models in the wild? How are they cast, what is the scale comparison, so on?

There are no english rules, they were promised 'soon' just around Xmas but no sign of them, and no further mention of them by Knight models
so you can either imagine they are just round the corner,
or you can imagine that as the models are selling well (perhaps too well for Knight's production capacity) they might have put translation on the back burner

This Saturday the Batman miniature game distributor in Spain organized a presentation of the game in his shop. It was fun, many demonstration games, makeup artist, the sculptor of Knight models, contests, gifts. I remembered this forum and ask for the rules in English and they said that most likely this week will be!!

Wait for the Spanish version of warhamer many years
Wait for the Spanish version of FoW many years
Wait for the Spanish version of Confrontation 2 years
I'm waiting for the Spanish version of Malifaux many years later
I do not think much wait 5 or 6 weeks, I understand you're not used but for someone who speaks Spanish seems a bit exaggerated complaint

The problem is that Babs was a bland Mary Sue put in as a tv show tie-in who only became an interesting character after Ostrander wrote her into Oracle in Suicide Squad. The new 52 throws one great Batgirl and one half-decent Batgirl under the bus so Babs can go back to being a bland Mary Sue.
The new Batgirl comic somehow managed to be the worst comic of the New 52 in a line that had two different comics written and drawn by Rob Liefeld.

It is confusing, or maybe just different. Here is how I interpret them:
For each Attack Counter ( AC), you can use it to make an Impact Roll.
For each Impact Roll, if you roll higher than your opponent's Defense you get to make a Damage Roll.
For each Damage Roll, if you roll higher than your own Strength you inflict Damage.
In 40k terms:
Attack Counters = # of attacks
Impact Roll = roll To Hit
Damage Roll = roll To Wound

Ok, so just so I can understand this..using batmans card as its the only one spoiled...
Batmans willpower is 8, so I get 8 six sided dice and I can put them on his move, defense, special, and attack bars.
I give him 3 on attack. I can spend all 3 to make 3 attack rolls.
If fighting another Batman, I need 5s as that is batmans defense. Lets say I get all 5s
I then roll and because his strength is a 3+, I need just 3 or higher and I wound batman.
If blocking, lets say the other batman had 3 defense dice in his DC pool. I could spend them all and I would need 5s to block because batmans attack value is 5?

Also made tokens to represent the objectives (loot, enigma, ammo, titan 2x of each as thats the max) and lamp post and manhole tokens. 3 of each as each player places d3.
Never really done file sharing asside drop box. It says I can share an uploaded item to people who dont even have drop box. So here is hoping these work. I couldnt make perfect measurements ( or any really asside my best judgement)

Let me know if they work, or if anyone wants to change sizes to make objectives 35mm/35mm sewers and smaller lamp posts ( as I dont see them being that big)

The list is from a facebook group called Arkham City Limits.
It fits the game. You can even run bane and batman togeather. Each kinda aided batman in the game to some extent. Also take into account thats 2 guys vs a crew of jokers 6, or penguins 8-9 guys for bout the same points.
