I don't know if this is the appropriate place to ask or if its been answered already but how do these minis look scale wise with other companies? I'm wondering specifically about GW, Infinity,Sedition Wars and Zombicide. I want to order some from you Empchild but I want to know how they will look next to some of the figures I already have. I'm planning on getting them anyway but the scale will determine how quickly I place the order. I don't want to read through 21 pages of this topic so if anyone has a photo or a link to one I would really appreciate it.

Okay, so how do I know which one of the gang members is the starter box is which in the list on the previous page? Can I assume that the Joker and Penguin gang are balanced? What else should I get if I want to use Batman against a gang? Nightwing seems to expensive to be used against the starter box.

I get my joker box and penguin box tomorrow I think so I will post cards then. I know I added up points of my friends joker starter and it came to 156 points. From my few games I've played, I feel batman can take down the starter alone. You really need to play him like the game though with strike and run, strike and run. One game he got into hand to hand with killer croc and he got wrecked really bad

Interesting i will have to remembered that. After Adepticon i actually am planning on running demos and stuff to try and promote the game locally. As for the sets question if it says crew and is a higher price then there you go  . If it says goons then its the two man pack.

im not sure its cool posting the stat cards.. people will copy them and with the rules being free already unscrupulous people can get the whole game without kicking anything back knight models way.. and i think they deserve some money for their work.

As for posting stat cards, I dont see why not. The models are expensive ( but worth it) and I think it benifits people to see what the character can do before they make a blind buy. It has also been said on the Spanish Blog http://mistycball.blogspot.com.es from Gustavo Adolfo Cuadrado Egea ( a person who helped build the minis game) that they will be having forums soon with the stats available on them.
I would encourage others who have bought guys I havent posted the cards for yet to do so!

People are always going to do that and I understand your angst about it believe me but in the end those are the people who aren't going to do much with the game anyways. Are the prices for some of these minis rather high....mmmm...yes and no. If you buy from Coolmini I believe the singles come in at $25 a model, I choose to go lower as well I just did. Also for the several people who have bought memberships with me they will tell you how fast that adds up and the money it saves you so there are ways to curb the overall cost.
Be mindfull as well that a lot of people will collect every single mini just to have the full set but in the game won't use all that many models so for somone who wants to start out but not drop $500 or more then they can get by with spending under $100. I believe on average my 40k armies run between $500-$700 retail so to spend $75-$100 and get free rules to me is a steal of a deal. Not to mention the models are larger and damn near flawless. I'm going to continue to grow into Knights Models and hopefully your FLGS will too as after Adepticon we are going to start our distribution Dept for my business.

bengal is 'flare' (odd i know)
mislead is 'distract'
the weapon profile 'tough' is actually 'heavy'
harleys'disarray' is actually 'disorder'
ringmasters '360 attack: chain' is actually 'roundhouse'
jokers one shot gun crit is 'low' this means if you crit then the model is instantly removed as a casualty (!!)

I feel the same way sometimes but if you let that stop you then you will never allow yourself to grow as a painter. I always tell people just to have fun with it and try to learn something new on every model you paint.

I've won a bunch of professional awards but some minis give me trouble. Infinity seems to be my bane for some reason and don't even get me started on gw dark elder as I've tried my hand at those many times. These models are easy to paint actually lots of smooth surfaces.

having played a few games i think that the rules are really easy to grasp and the translation isnt that bad.
the rule psycho is one of the translation issues.. seeing as currently nothing changes your willpower. i believe its meant to stop you losing action counters from anything.

I have played 4 games of it so far. First three were basic. It was Batman and Guncop vs Harley and Killercroc. Sadly Batman got knocked out and eaten by the Croc.
In the latest game now that we have more minis, it was Joker, Harley, Chainclown, and Batclown VS Batman and Catwoman.
I gave everyone a clown painting ( Distract) except the joker. This seems like a free action, as it has no SC next to it. Pretty deadly ability. Batclown got next to catwoman, distracted her, making her DEF a 4 and beat the crap outta her. Getting to reroll your hits is sick with this guy. Being obsessive, he needed 3s just to wound. After she hit the floor she never got back up.
Batman threw some batarangs but being only stun, and lucky, my guys recovered quickly. He did go all out on Harley and knocked her out. She got back up but eventually went right back down. The Joker, Chain/Batclown then we all out on Batman, he got pretty beat up but batclawed himself to safety just as the game ended. The clown rushed objectives for points and Joker won just by a single point.
Some notes or questions...
Ganging up on someone and having distract seems almost too good. It makes since, but it makes batman look like a wuss. Distract and 2 on 1 puts his DEF at a 3. Crazy Batclown then can get rerolls to hit needing 3s and 3s to wound batman.
We were also wondering if you can keep attacking someone when they are knocked out? Doesn't say you can't but doesn't say you can.
The part I really do like it how brutal it can be. More so how much it can be for playing joker. You remove 1 of their dice, so that can be a guaranteed extra turn for you to start and beat down people. Close combat rounds are not very unique for the clowns, but that fits them. If you're in base and know you get to go first, best to load all dice into AC.
Our next game will be 300 points so I will write that up then. More money options and bigger battle!

as has been said only henchmen can have upgrades but also the gang you listed doesnt have any funding..so you cannot buy any clown paintings.

Funding was confusing at first but it is actually " A band can not spend more then 500$ per 150 rep" Funding is just a way to "balance" lists so you couldnt in a small game load up with machine gun guys or something. Just like a salary cap for sports

I think you are confused by the funding trait on the stat cards. This is a cost not a bonus. Penguin needs lord of business so that he can field the machine gun guy (emperor penguin?) As his funding cost is $600. $100 over the $500 allowed at 150 reputation. Hope that makes sense to you.

Newer models have a Notes section you can write on the back as boy wonder said. As for size, they are just shy of 8 inches top to bottom and almost 3.5 across. Decent sized. Only and best way to protect them seems to be getting them laminated.
I find it interesting that the Jokers single henchmen he can take multis of is the knife guy, while penguins crew can take the shield guy AND his 2 figure clamp pack is worth getting a few of.

Sounds good. Not knowing any DC characters outside of Batman does make some of the recently released models a bit weird for me. I've worked out all of the above from the games/films apart from Mr Hammer, whos he anyone?

Yes Arkham Bane will be getting his own henchmen. Movie Bane is a Ra's sidekick so will be able to take LOS Henchmen when they are released.

LOL I feel like I'm slacking on these honestly. I haven't even bought a set for myself but I am changing that with this restock order . I will have the full line at Adepticon just so you all know and yes CMON does sell them 25% higher but I believe the reason for that is they add in shipping. With currency fluxes I just leave my prices where they are, sometimes I make a few cents more sometimes less and I also don't figure shipping into the pricing (which actually means I lose almost 15% ouch) but to me it's worth it.

Ah ok. Yea it would break the game and our group thats plays would either ban them or quit. Batman and Bane are already pretty gross beaters. Adding Superman, Wonderwoman would ruin it. Youd then need options for Batman to use his Kryptonite gloves and it would get to messy

I've been thinking on the other characters of DC, and I could see some of the "lesser powered" characters showing up(hell, we got Deathstroke and he has a healing factor and enhanced strength, as well as a few other metapowers).
Y'know, like Zatanna, Cyborg, Mr. Terrific, Black Lightning, etc. Hell, throw in the entire original Outsiders line-up(maybe even the Nightwing led version, too).

That was already talked about but yes and i wouldn't count on a hardbound book for a while. The reason being they are spending the koney on the minis and not doing much with a book. In a year or so if they see a strong sales from it they may release one.

I've not had a bad casting, but the alloy they use is a pretty rubbish one and really soft - like mid 90's GW lead stage soft.. The details and textures have all come out fine though.

i haven't got any of the Batman minis yet, but i have both 30mm and 72mm Star Wars minis...
no miscasts anywhere, but a ton of mouldlines...
they take a while to clean up well, but the detail is incredible...
well worth the price...
i am planning on getting a few of the Arkham minis, and a bunch more of the 72mm dudes...
i would not be dropping $70.00 ( or $100 like for the Scout Speeder Bike) on a poorly cast mini...
the large scale stuff is limited to 500 copies, and come in nice collectors tins...
good stuff...

Only 4 in ATK and DEF but has 5+ armor. He does have Combo attack also. 109 REP
Ra can instant kill if he crits with sword, hes tough if not stronger then The first batman. The Ninjas are meh. Not impressive statwise.
Penguin guys are unique, one has an UZI like Deathstroke has but only 1 ammo. The other is a Sawed off shotgun. Used the Spray Template OR single shot. One ammo also.
My May order took 4 weeks to arrive, but when I ordered Junes stuff, only took 2 weeks. Good to see it is better. Only problem was my ninja box set was packaged horribly. No ninjas had heads, missing half weapons, and ra had no sword. After a few days of talking, they did send the parts so waiting for that.
According to the FB page, they were doing rules for Ivy so she and two face should be soon. ( Box sets)

Seriously, i made an order in May that I am still waiting on.
I went from stoked to paint some batman figs to "I guess they'll be in the to do pile" whenever they actually arrive.

I was the first to carry them in the U.S for the batman line but I'm dropping them due to the issues I've had with them. Unprofessional which is too bad as amazing models. Once I can finally get the refunds I'm personally done with them.

actually, CMON and Fantization had them from day one, since they just made the transition from Star Wars 28mm to Batman 28mm as Knight Models themselves did...
sorry to hear it has been so much trouble for you to stock these minis, as they are beautiful...
Knight Models have produced some of my favorite minis of the last 5 years...
Corvus Belli seems to be the only Spanish 28mm mini producer to have their heads on straight...
KM and AoW need to get their acts together...
kudos for all your hard work...
too bad it's been frustrating...

Miniature market sells them. Though they are a month behind. Well now with heath joker out two months.
Ordering direct is really the fastest way to get it in the us right now. Takes two weeks.
My only issue is its best when orders are I think 75 or maybe 100 then its free shipping. Since I only need heath joker it costs 30$ to get him here. Little to much at this time. Ill have to wait for next releases to grab him.

I know Simple Miniature Games distribute them in the UK and has had similar problems in getting hold of stuff - it's always late and Knight Models tend to provide wrong info about what is coming and when so that the new stuff doesn't arrive with the re-stocks (even when they specifically said to them it was shipping at the same time) .
However it's a really good game with awesome models so lets hope el' Spanish get their act together and get their distributors and customers supported properly

The male seems to be armed with some kind of laser pistol, I don't remember that either!
League of Shadows look incredibly generic. I can't help but think there's better ninjas elsewhere in the world at near enough that scale.
And finally, Superman's face seems weird... It's certainly not near the likeness of, say, GW's stuff 12 years ago when LOTR came out. Despite the bigger scale.

Curious though if that is for the actual game...He seems more then 35mm, plus there isn't rules for vehicles yet. Would be disappointed if that was all. So many hints at Two Faces crew...
While US dis center would be nice, ordering directly is the fastest way Alph. Takes around 7-13 days but that's tons faster if you order it from them the second they release it to waiting months for US to get lots of stock...

I wouldn't say it's a decrease in quality. As these models are *far* better than Constipation-Man and Deputy Cleavage.
However, the price for the Bat-pod is just ridiculous. More than £35. That is genuinely more expensive than Games Workshops finecast Sammael on Jetbike.

i don't really follow Batman, so i never even knew there was a cool version (Arkham) until i saw KM's first sculpt...
i may actually buy her...
i'm still liking the quality of KM...
just look at the preview of the new 32mm Gandalf...
i just finished their big Boba Fett...
which is an excellent sculpt...
now it's back to working on the 32mm Han Solo...
i love these guy's sculpts, and have never had a problem getting the minis i want...

My only personal issue is they reused what the henchmen looked like and just gave them different weapons. Im all for more guys in a crew, but the same exact masks and cloths is meh. It might be the painting but their quality is the same as it ever was.
Just beating a dead horse here but their distrubtion isn't "horrendous" for US. Buy on miniaturemarket or direct. Comes a lot faster then you think.

Oh I don't know, I've heard of some pretty horrendous behavior on their part in terms of how they've dealt with the US distributor/company that I've used to get their product in the past.
So much so, in fact, that this US based company no longer does business with them.
I'll still get most of these miniatures, eventually, but it has certainly dropped them down my priority list behind a lot of other offerings.
