I ordered a box of Living Dead Peasants from Fireforge to serve as zombies for my dungeon crawl, excited and got a good deal on them.

Most recent, a box of Sisters and some paints (weird colours, burgundy, orange and teal) to play around with on fantasy minis for Frostgrave I plan on grabbing some of those peasants and their not quite dead yet versions soon as well Elbows.

Captain Rex and a box of Phase I Clones. Turns out a hobby shop around 10min from me has them, so it worked out great!

Raphael 8404 sizes 1 and 3/0, and DaVinci Maestro 0 and 2/0 brushes. Very nice. I may like them better than the W&N series 7 brushes. I'll get plenty of use out of them when I get my Infinityefiance pledge later this year. So many minis to paint.

Picked up the flames of war hit the beach starter. Returning to flames of war after a break and the value is unreal. Also picked up the colours of war painting book.

It’s not a bad book, nothing ground breaking and probably not much in there that most people who have been painting / building for a while wouldn’t all ready know but it’s still a cool book to look at.
Plus I’m a sucker for painting books and my eldest lad who’s taking an interest in wargaming enjoys looking through it.

Finally found the last star wars RPG book I needed and picked up someone's secondhand unopened 40k Apocalypse rules, dice, and cards.

My blank 25mm dice came in!

Plastic Soldier Company are having a March sale on Red Alert (50% off the base game and expansions), their spaceship fleet game that takes up a 4 x 6 table, roughly. Picked up the base game.

Picked up some Blackstone Fortress "Ur Ghuls" or whatever, for use as...actual ghouls/gribblies in my dungeon crawl (they're stupidly cheap right now). Still waiting on the Fireforge Undead Peasants sadly, but the price was right and I can wait. Picked up two OSR style fantasy RPGs even though I don't get to roleplay a heap; Forbidden Lands, and Dungeon World.

Took the plunge into Imperial knights by purchasing the hellvarin armigers box.

Lightly damaged NIB Phase 1 clone upgrade box from the FLGS to chip in towards it surviving Covid-19 unscathed.

When I called to see if they had it, it sounded like they were planing on sending it back for replacement even though it was the only one in stock. Luckily contents were fine so it worked out well for both parties!

Picked up the fow d day American army book. A bag of woodland scenics clump foliage, some Tamiya extra thin cement. Also downloaded the bolt action firefight rules. Although they are free so doesn’t count I guess.

Right now my most local shop is open (though all gaming has been suspended), but things could change. So while out taking care of errands yesterday I stopped in & restocked on plenty of glue, kicker, & a few colors of paint.

Walked down into town yesterday to stretch my legs. Picked up a can of Death Guard Green and the new WD from GW, then found my LGS had a mini-sale going on.

Got another set of Barricades for SW Legion, along with the Rebel Trooper, AT-RT and Speeder Bike boxes at £8 a pop, as well as two small expansions for the Conan board game at £8 and £10. Not a bad bit of impromptu bargain-hunting

Before all non-essential stores were closed yesterday I picked up some paints I NEEDED and to hopefully help the FLGS weather the storm Operation Wildfire (with the Pre-order bonus mini even!) and a Cadmus from Infinity. And in a show of confidence in them I ordered the Beyond Wildfire box for when they re-open and it arrives.

Found someone selling the Eldar Apocalypse box (Spirit Seer, 15 Wraithguard, 2 Wraithlords) for cheap. He even threw in the Ultramarine datacards he had on sale for me.

My local FLGS offered to curbside drop-off a Canis Rex for me while the owner complies with Shelter-In-Place. I've never really wanted to use a Knight in battle, but if there was ever a time for a big hobby project this would be it.

Also ordered some basing material, but I don't know if I made the cutoff for the vendor's shelter-in-place, so I might have to wait until late april for the shipment

Just bagged a Vision/Winter Soldier for Crisis Protocol. I'm perilously close to finishing Guild Ball from a hobby angle, so I'm stockpiling a little for the next project.

While out doing essential grocery shopping, discovered that my local craft store was still open. Well, before they get themselves in trouble & shut down.... Stopped in & got 2x3 yards of cloth (mottled green & mottled tan) to start making my own game table for at home.
It'll be a double sided board 4x6, maybe 4x8 for atop the dining room table. One side green, one tan.

Next steps:
Decide what material to use for the board itself,
Determine actual size. 4x6? 4x8?,
Determine where to store the board between games - that might be the biggest determining factor on its size.

I just purchased some matt Decorators spray, one light grey and the other an ivory to see if the contrast takes to it like wraith bone.

Bought Army Painter Uniform Grey spray, since Wolf Gray was way too blue

After AT-43 i went full in when palo got DUST off the ground. interestingly it was his original pitch before AT-43. it is such a good system it's a shame that AT-43 went the way it did if it was anywhere close to the same mechanics..

I already have their original Sands of Time mat (you can see it here). It's a great mat, but as you can see from that pic it has a bloody great dried up river right down the middle of it, which tends to dominate terrain placement. This new one will allow for a freer and more generic terrain placement.

Nice all! we stay play AT-43 once a year on average, with a few house rule tweaks, so much fun for nostalgia.

Picked up another two sets of Dwarven Forge; an encounter room and some large floor pieces. Should arrive in a few days.

Well with no Salute this year, I have taken to tackling the pile rather than pile more on it, but even so, one Salute must was the female Frostgrave Wizards set, so I ended up ordering that and a few metals from NorthStar as my treat since no Salute...I might also pick up the 3rd ed Batman starter box...

I've got it for the minis when it came out. But haven't actually gotten through a game of it though. Its got a lot of "moving parts" and seems a bit too complicated for solo play in my opinion. I was expecting something more along the lines of heroquest, but there's a lot more to keep track of. The AI cards for the enemies are a really cool idea.

At a guess, about 4 lists worth of older Infinity minis for $40. FLGS had a lot that didn’t look good at first, and even 2nd and 3rd glance but turned out to be a great deal!

I was expecting maybe half to a full list salvageable with only a model or two I actually liked. Instead, I wound up with at least 9 winners and several more solid sculpts!

Being as they had them in stock I've ordered some mini bases(25mm, 40mm) and treated myself to the fabulous Jain Zar, to go with a very small banshee force(3rd edition models and casts).

I just bought a still sealed 2nd edition fire prism for the price of a new from GW.

Bought a new KoS and BT on sprue for $105 each, as well as a new SC S2D box for $80. Honestly, I haven’t had any issues personally with getting anything I wanted during all this. I’ve been “kondoing” my hobby stuff for my son’s college account, but had a few items I wanted to trade/sell specifically for these three items. So I’ve raised $1200 for my son AND got $300 in minis purchased, as well as a further $200 traded. Honestly, I feel like I sold UP from what I expected.

A large pot of matte medium, 2.5 litres of de-ionised water and some acrylic black ink. Trying to make me some nuln oil while gw was shut.

RESULT.
I can now make my own Nuln oil. About 2500 ml worth for the price of 2 x GW 24ml tubs.
The first small batch I made, I've nearly used up. It went to the recesses as well as nuln oil, but didn't seem to coat the surface with a drab sheen. Next hobby purchase - different coloured inks.

Corvus. Love their aesthetic.

The Unmade - what could be more glorious than a whole faction who have shaped their very bodies into temples of worship to the dark gods. Forget those pesky crows - you need blade feet not stilt feet

If I was to play a Faction, it would probably be Unmade.

I just think the Corvus Cabal have more interesting models and paint options. Could do crow colours, Bird of Paradise colours, Bird of Prey colours. All sorts.

Although not strictly bought by myself with Father’s Day and my bday next month , the wife has picked up the Longest Day battle box for bolt action. Had a quick check through the box to see if it was all there before she put it away for wrapping.

But the bullet and picked up the AoS shipwreck plus a Morris engine and a few other small bits.

£20.50 for four HQ characters is damn good, and although the Warlocks aren't exactly the superstars we'd like them to be, they at least look it. The Farseer looks amazing!

Though I've been slowly working toward fantasy 15mm rather than WWII.

Actually I've found painting is super easy to get to my level of tabletop standard...it's more the need to now buy a full table of terrain, using different textures for basing, etc. etc. etc.

I'm sure plenty of my infantry have mold lines, but you can barely see them...and I'm playing Soviets, which means loads of infantry.

PS: I had a rather cool Indian army for Flames of War maybe 15 years ago, then tossed it on eBay when I realized I hadn't played FoW for many years. First 15mm stuff though since...2007?

As a means of spreading the hobby funds around in these strange times, I've dropped some money on Perry Miniatures.


As they sell individual sprues, I've picked up some historical mini samples to build/ paint something different without having to invest in whole boxes.

Additionally, the Agincourt Command sprue contains lots of swords in scabbards that will sit nicely on my 40K Ventrillian Noble conversions.

Today feels like a win. Sometimes the little things matter.

So I picked up enough Daughters of Khaine to field a Temple Nest battalion (+ a Hag Queen) right out the gate.
2 DoK Start Collecting boxes + 2 boxes of Melusai - for considerably cheaper than the GW Nest bundle.

22 models to start the game.
The extra 3 queens, 2 avatars,, 1 Bloodwrack & 1 Shrine/Cauldron will come in handy either down the line, or in "regular" play.

Why the Melusai?
1) Because they have a very distinct look,
2) The Giants army isn't out yet, & most likely won't be by the time our current campaign wraps.
3) I know no one else has any interest in playing DoK (& probably for good reason).
But mostly this is one of the forces I'll have built based purely on how it looks.

Due to a lack of consumer resistance, on seeing that the Valkryies are £26 for four not two models, I have a pack of those on order.

I have no intention of playing Aeronautica Imperialis but was after the Valkyries for a planned Imperial Guard command post diorama. I like the idea of having one in the background being projected as a hologram of a strike underway.

Finally got to the store after what, at least 2 months or something? Got some most needed primers finally, as well as a few paints, an Eldar Start Collecting and two Allarus Custodes boxes! A bit sad I forgot to look for a few more stuff (Eldar Spiritseer/Bonesinger, Sisters of Silence), but at least I have stuff to complete current projects at last!

The Fallout Wasteland Warfare Raider starter set - have to say some really lovely sculpts, am very impressed!

Finally gave in to a box of Howling Banshees, but for £24.45.

A little discount on top of the usual 20%, and the possibility of using left over pieces to convert two spare female Guardians into Autarchs...I took the plunge. Saved a lot on Mortal Realms #1 a while back so I guess its balances out in the end.

More primer. Seriously - I'm on my third can of contrast primer and I just finished my second Platemail army painter primer...

I also ordered the half of this weeks GW preorders that I could afford. I really want that SoB model, but maybe I can get it in a trade

Just got the five for four box army deal from North Star Miniatures.

These will form the core of a Dwarf and Elf KoW army.

The Aurinax gold dragon miniature from GaleForce Nine for D&D.

Shops had it for awhile & I've been eyeing it. But I wasn't going to pick it up unless I needed a gold dragon for some reason (even then there's cheaper options). Well in the next 2-3 weeks I'll be running the Dragon Heist adventure where this model features. I guess that's my need. Oh darn, I have to add this cool model to the collection.... : )

Painting will be pretty quick & easy as well!

More primer, was seriously running low!

Catachan command squad after it finally came back in stock and a shadowsword.

A Catachan Colonel for a hell of a lot less than they go on eBay.

We'll find out in a couple of weeks whether I was scammed or not.

Ordered the forgeworld weapons as well as a zerker and sumpcroc for my goliaths.

Bought some promethium forge terrain secondhand.

So much for working down my backlog. lol

2 packs of flying bases for my eldar jetbikes (I have 5 shining spears and 9 Guardian jetbikes to rebase due to broken bases).

Apart from that, some 2nd hand eldar still on sprue back in January. Wraithguard, a wraithlord, some guardians (and weapons platform) and some dire avengers. All heavy weapons complete and on sprue, and the wraithguard sprues were untouched and complete.

Grabbed a pair of Necron Destroyers off of ebay, just so my Destroyer Lord has a reason to exist.

Mortal Realms issue 20. Comes with a fetching Lord Arcanum on Gryph back, and also an Evocator Prime who looks pretty good himself. Must say they are terrible "easy to build" models as they come with quite large gaps and still require glue.

I assume the Lord is about £25 while the Evocator chap...another £5? Not bad for £8!

Asked the wife to pick me up some of those cork mat coaster things from ikea. Cut em up and you’ve got some nice walls and rubble for terrain.

A whole bunch of Battle Foam trays & several cases.

Noticed the STC ruins kit had been quietly discontinued so bought one of those since one was still in stock at a local retailer, plus bought a mekboy workshop as well since both kits kinda go together aesthetically (just need to cut away the welding mask from the rack bit as it's clearly too big for a human). The servo clamp can be replaced with a more AdMech looking one from the Sacristan Forgeshrine kit when I eventually buy one of those, and the Orky totems etc can be made into an objective marker or something.

Oh and all the FUD posted about upcoming FW changes made me buy a Land Raider armored Proteus. Wanted BA doors for it so got lucky and found a painted BA FW door rhino from ebay for a good price to scavenge the doors from (AFAIK the Proteus uses Rhino doors, right?)

Next up will most likely be the #new40k snapfit terrain once its available in the shops, unless it is priced unreasonably.. With recent GW price hikes for all terrain kits, I'm hoping this one will be cheaper as its ETB

Ordered the Imperium Supply Drop box.

Well the new terrain is on pre-order, and I went back and forth between these combinations:

1. 3x new terrain, 1x Commander starter-box.
2. 2x new terrain, 2x Commander starter-box.
3. 2x new terrain, 1x Commander starter-box + the Manufactorum Battlefield.

In the end I went with 2x new terrain and the Manufactorum Battlefield set. Went against the Commander starter box.

And then added in a box of Intercessors, a box of Hellblasters, two boxes of Inceptors and a box of Ogryn.

A new in box 40k EPIC Armageddon IG Artillery Company from a dude online whose selling all sorts of Epic minis in their original packaging. Amazing price too - pretty pleased with myself.

I found a warcry starter set for a bit less than retail at an lgs. Im pretty chuffed about it. Its the first gw product i have bought in a few years, since gorechosen was released. I bought some soriritas to use in killteam, but I'm finding warcry to be the superior game for my own tastes.

But of course, in for a pound, since i bought models for grot, nighthaunt, and daughters of khaine warbands.

And feeling the need for a nice, theme agnostic game board, i picked up some of the last scraps of the no longer in production Forgotten City boards from Secret Weapon that can be used for kill team or warcry.

And since i am dabbling with the heightened sense of realistic despair found in the eigntpoints and the bloodwind spoils, i am ordering a lot of gory, and if I'm honest, fairly depressing 3d printed terrain off of etsy whose subject matter is quite dark and pg13, like torture wracks, ritual murdered bodies, emaciated cultists running around with cannibalstic offerings to dark gods, slaves, etc. I wanted to see how such stark and truly horrific perceived realism of the fantasy setting made manifest would affect the game experience, verus the more disney approach to chaos gw takes. Its also cheaper than gw and more unique...

Im pleased that i have enough hobby stuff to last the winter and it is stuff that i am genuinely excited to hobby on. Dspecially dince i now have the time. Which is a big change from when i stopped being involved at all with gw a decade ago.

Couple paints and 3rd beastclaw raider start collecting box. Easy army to collect. You can buy 4-5 SC before there's really any point in buying something else...And with 70e for SC and 105 for contents pretty hard even then. And 3 SC box is 2k army already!

After taking the kids to Alton Towers and going on the zombie blaster ride I came across some smallish skulls with Celtic knot work on them for 2 quid a pop so grabbed 4 for some terrrain...

Thinking maybe having some under an old tree with the skulls showing through the roots . Might not use them all but the ones I don’t will be going on my book shelf next to my pagan library.

Just ebayed 12 Chaos Warriors on sprue for my 6th ed. Slaanesh Mortal army.

6mm scale buildings, Middle Eastern looking to go with the Alexander vs Persians figures that I got.

Also saw a deal for some Mantic ironguard + ironclad, so my dwarfs that were definitely done and not getting more stuff got two more regiments.

My FLGS had a sale on Vanguard warband boxes, so I got the undead box and an undead ogre from Nolzur to go with my small collection of undead. Not sure what they're for, but they're up to around 30 (separate) models. Plus some unit bases for the dwarfs to go on.

Got some Elmer's Spray Adhesive.

Just got some Lord of the Rings stuff in the mail yesterday. Ghan-buri-ghan and the Woses, Grimbold and Helmingas Command, and a box of Warg Riders for my Mordor/Angmar force.

Just finalized a deal on a pre-owned resin 3-d printer.

My Beasts of Chaos have now won enough games that the gods have smiled upon them!
I just ordered them a brand new Pack 720 + foam from Battlefoam.
No more riding about in 2nd hand, mismatched, foam in a Steralite tub for my goat guys.

Purchased some ground cover flock.

Two sets of new (ugly) dice. Hoping they'll help me overcome the curse of bad rolling that I've been enduring for the entirety of 9th edition so far.

Ugly dice roll better, they've got something to prove. At least that's the theory, anyway.

Inaugural game with them is TBD, but soon I hope.

Just got some post apoc guys from a company called Bad Roll Games, from their 'Punkapocalyptic' range. Have to say some really beautiful sculpts and some nicely produced resin (I always expect metal from Spanish companies so was surprised in this regard). They aren't the cheapest when buying from the UK, due to the rubbish conversion rate, but would definitely recommend. A couple of examples below, I'm using them for Fallout Wasteland Warfare Raiders, but think they could easily suit for any post-apoc setting.

My most recent purchases were the indomitus box, ogor start collecting, and the feast of bones box. I did find a couple of OLD models... Well my mom found them cleaning the attic. First gem was the 1988 Leman Russ model with his 2 dogs. Next was a couple of old RT Berzerkers. Last one was the 1998 female commissar. I thought she was stolen when someone 'accidentally' took my pratorian guard army and tried selling it to my buddy who just stole them back from him. She is still painted up to match them - white and blue!

A very exciting purchase tonight....

That is correct. Its going to be interesting to get through all of them.

I fully believe he'll do the same thing IF wargames Atlantic comes out with Greeks, so that i can then paint those up and we can game. lol.

That or he will just continue to bury me under Persians.
