Boom! Leman Russ Commander

Too much time away from home with internet access.

Waiting when I get back will be:

Two more Rhino hulls and a Lt Calsius courtesy of Hachette restocking issues of Warhamer Conquest.

Two boxes of Pistoliers to obtain heads for Ventrillian Noble conversions.

A Feirros model

Two more Contrast paints to try and persuade me to finish the Kharadron/ Squat conversions I put together last year.

From Kirton Games, two sets of Curious Constructs Renegade Heads and Torsos to add twenty more Blood Pact Renegades to the models from Blackstone Fortress. I'm prepping for my wishlist Renegade Guard army from GW.

For upcoming purchase...which WarCry band should I get next? Unmade, Corvus or Splintered Fang?

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Corvus. Love their aesthetic.

The Unmade - what could be more glorious than a whole faction who have shaped their very bodies into temples of worship to the dark gods. Forget those pesky crows - you need blade feet not stilt feet

If I was to play a Faction, it would probably be Unmade.

I just think the Corvus Cabal have more interesting models and paint options. Could do crow colours, Bird of Paradise colours, Bird of Prey colours. All sorts.

For use in an upcoming D&D adventure;
6 Birdmen of Catrazza
1 Malakai's Goblin-Hewer
and 20 gnome figures (2 "leaders", 3 body guards, 4 to crew the Hewer, 6 to replace the human birdmen pilots, & 5 in reserve in case I need a replacement during the conversion work - if any survive I'll just add a few more gnomes to the adventure to still make use of them)

So two units I always thought were pretty stupid WH wise & do you know how hard it is to find decent gnome minis???

Although not strictly bought by myself with Father’s Day and my bday next month , the wife has picked up the Longest Day battle box for bolt action. Had a quick check through the box to see if it was all there before she put it away for wrapping.

Also picked up some Charlie Foxtrot Models mdf Normandy kits and a tub of modge podge last night.

A resin Farseer & Warlocks for 40K, 8th and 3rd editions.

£20.50 for four HQ characters is damn good, and although the Warlocks aren't exactly the superstars we'd like them to be, they at least look it. The Farseer looks amazing!

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Chaos Rhino

I must be mad, I've only built a single kit (munitorum containers/scatter terrain) from the whole eighty issue set so far.

After a 2 month break due to quarantine I just spent my helicopter money on a new airbrush, wet palette and like 100 paints (Scale75 and Army Painter). And some post-apoc neutral critters.

Going for flying lessons, or in the market for an actual chopper?

Uh... that's what it's called when the government gives people free money to spend to stimulate the economy.

Way too much stuff for starting 15mm...

A bevy of vehicles from Estonia, some "shorter" static grass, some cans of appropriate spray for my Soviets, a set of test tokens for Battlegroup that I designed, a rifle company from Flames of War (not for that game, but Battlegroup obviously), blood/wound tokens from Litko, etc.

Doing a new scale friggin' sucks. Reminds me why I haven't in the past!

Wait till you start squinting to work out if its a mould line or detail on the models
Though I've been slowly working toward fantasy 15mm rather than WWII.

Actually I've found painting is super easy to get to my level of tabletop standard...it's more the need to now buy a full table of terrain, using different textures for basing, etc. etc. etc.

I'm sure plenty of my infantry have mold lines, but you can barely see them...and I'm playing Soviets, which means loads of infantry.

PS: I had a rather cool Indian army for Flames of War maybe 15 years ago, then tossed it on eBay when I realized I hadn't played FoW for many years. First 15mm stuff though since...2007?

As a means of spreading the hobby funds around in these strange times, I've dropped some money on Perry Miniatures.

As they sell individual sprues, I've picked up some historical mini samples to build/ paint something different without having to invest in whole boxes.

Additionally, the Agincourt Command sprue contains lots of swords in scabbards that will sit nicely on my 40K Ventrillian Noble conversions.

Today feels like a win. Sometimes the little things matter.
