The midnight watch is just getting into their rounds when the first of the daemons are summoned into the town, strange fleshy green beasts with many arms that have fire in their palms. this fire is thrown at buildings and soon the town is ablaze.

(proto) excellent, have a look at the last few pages, lol at noccy's Nawwwwness and then keep posting

(Tallon) The party moves to intercept the ghost carriages the next night, the spellcasters use the power of each other to power a binding spell and they cast it at the apparitions. however the moment they start gathering the magical strength required the ghosts dissapear. But one remains, he points at Ranun and then at orac and then dissapears

(its a literal DISSAPEAR, not backing off)

(noccy) The device takes the magical energy put into it and releases Mana eggs. these egg shaped white stones contain the spell that was cast on the machine. in a one use capacity these Mana eggs can be a powerful weapon or healing device

I think it is potentially dangerous so i will go downstairs and make breakfast. Cause aurella is kinda hungry. I look at aurella. You dont have to be scared i can feel it because i am bonded with you you can feel my body to.

How can we fight a foe that can move its physical form to anther location? this is stupid, i sit, still upset about the hopeless ness of our task. We had allready fought 2 temples of horror, what awaited up in the next?

I take her in my arms and lift her uo. I then walk downstairs and put her down on a sofa. What would you like for breakfast?

(Rarora Ranun) The pair of you take point and continue to tlak about the strange carriages as you move to the last temple

*2nd to last*

Ranun walks up to the walls to see what the pictograms will show them now.

You look on the walls and you see something that disturbs you greatly, the pictograms show small creatures, that you assume would be about a foot high, that have long slinking bodies and long snaking limbs, their mouths are multi hinged and seem to be snapping at a warrior of some description

Toast and bacon. Ok. I start making the breakfast. "My good morning line wouldnt work anymore. How are you feeling cause now i can just feel it. I begin to laugh. Not that i mind it.

i roll my eyes.

cause im not sure where i am im gonna check for weapons and or traps.

"Let's stay together - as much as possible. As soon as we get the artifact, we can barrel our way out of the temple. Let's go."

And Ranun starts walking inside.

I join Ranun, at the front of our group, and begin to prepere for the enevitable battle. I ready my staff, and call to Darath.
Darath too had readied his staff, and was now casting healing aura over the party.
We proceed inside of the temple, and begin to search for the artifact...

Why do you search for traps proto i am just making plain breakfast XD

(The assassins) (that is a really good question) (Meaningless talking aside you guys still have a job to do....)

(The group) Like the other temples this one has a long corridor and a massive chamber, at least you think its massive. The room is so dark that you cant see your hand infront of your face. But then a second after you have walked in the cieling lets out a grinding sound and the magical orb (apparently activated by proximity) slides down. the light it gies of makes the darkness lessen but not diminish entirely. What you see before you makes you wretch into your various helmets etc. The floor is covered in fresh corpses, Men Elfs, Twingins, Dwarfs, Orcs, Dragorans, Ataani, and one strange fellow who none of you have ever seen the likeness of before, when he was alive his natural bodily armour should have been proof against most damage as the curling horns that cover his skin in an interlocking mesh would attest to.

However all of them are dead, and recently dead, even though many of them carry weapons that have not been used scince the time of the old kingdom.

as before there is a walkway that runs around the egde of the room, which is strewn with corpses, but in the center instead of a single large platform there are a series of smaller walkways that lead out in a chaotic pattern, You can see no visible regularity to how the walkways are placed but you dont worry about that, because in the center is a pedistal surrounded by the everpresent panes of glass in a square box.

Each of the walkways has a number on it and you can count them all up from 1-10

when you step on one of the walkways it begins to give under your weight like a seesaw, you take your foot of and it rotates back to its balance position.

in the middle of the area are three platforms each with a large square brass plate positioned in them.

I just think everything is fine and i let proto search. After i have made the breakfast i give aurella her piece of it and take some for myself then i make some ready for proto for when he returns. I take of my shirt as i feel my tattoo burn a little. I see it turned blood red. I sit down back feeling it burn.

The dead continue to advance, ignoring the arrows peppering their shields as the Liche Priests cast more deliberating spells upon the riders.

I tell Orac to put his foot on one of the walkways, and then I test the other 9.

(mordo), the riders are well out of range of your liche priests spells.

In the distance you can see the shapes of massive ballistae

(The Group) all of them seesaw

i return and ask noocy

"what now?"

I signel to Raora, to guard the entrance and cover us.

I use witch sight to check around the room for any sign of magic, wondering if it was that which killed the warriors.

I walk into the center, using the orbs power to boost blaze, which I use as a torch. When I reach the centre of the platform, I begin to examine the plates in the center.

While I do this, i'm always on my guard for any sign of the temples guardians...

You eat. I point to his breakfast. Feeling the tattoo burn stronger and stronger. Aurella can i do something with you cause i think it is needed for me to survive. I need to make you my blood queen. You must take control over me because when in battle a blood bonded man or woman can freak out in a frenzy to protect his loved one. So you need to take contol over me. A shot of pain goes through my heart and i fall on the ground. Aurella do it quick or i will get killed for the transformation is not complete yet.

i eat feeling that is all i can do in this situation

Ranun kneels and holds a walkway steady. "Edon, see if you can cross now."

I see Darath, ready to cast rapid growth if I were to fall...

Think this blood bond thing is awsome because first kozac was a cold blooded killer no emotions and now is a killer BUT he always will protect aurella and he has emotions XD the power of love (yes marta this is a naaaaawwwwwwwww moment worth XD) but marta is able of being a real bastard and try to kill aurella. Well marta then i can only say one thing to you: you are on heartless son of a ***** with ************** of course this is just kidding and i am typing this message with a smile constant on my face.

I singnal for edon to halt, and ask for darath to cast rapid growth on the baords to secure them inplace, so that it is less dangerous to cross.

After Darath has cast rapid growth, I walk across pathway number 4.

(The group) When Edons foot touches the platform with one of the plate on it he feels a strange stab of pain on the back of his neck, and then a numbing sensation.

His shoulders tauten and his arms and hands go stiff. then his knees curl up and his whole wieght it shifted forwards and he collapses to the platform.

You feel chills run up your spine as some kind of sticky substance attatches itself to his wrist and begins to wrap around his body

The group watches him move gingerly across the bridge and then when he gets there and steps on it, they see a blur of darkness move past his head, then he collapses forwards and you see a glistening white trail move from his wrist over his back and begin to wrap around him

she rushes over to you and kneels down, "What do i do Kozac? Tell me what to do!!"

Tame me (not on the wrong way XD) you must *poke in heart* hmph you must make this on my necj with your blood. Thats how you will tame me. I let a little piece of paper fall on the floor next to me. When the one on my neck is done do the same *poke* .......... on.....your hand. Then hold them together. Then i will be tamed...... whenever i am going to do something in a ......... state of rage you need to hold yours against mine and i wi .......... will be immobilized temporarily.

I attempt to cast blaze, concentrating hard because i cant gesture or use my staff, on the web like material holding me.
I trust that my dragoran sword will protect me from the magic, but that the fire will break me free...

Seeing my leaders attemps to cast blaze i shake my head. Unslinging my crossbow i shout for edon to remain still, and take the shot using a fire enchanted arrow.

ARCHERS TO THE WALLS!!!!!!! Find your targets and put em down!!! Everyone else put out those fires!!! I rush to the nearest group of deamons and begin cutting off thier arms to stop more fires from being made.

(eckeon) Your archers scramble up the walls and take defensive positions against the daemons, as you run forwards and try to hack at them they breath roiling white flames at you

(The group)The blaze fails to cast for some reason but when Rarora's arrow goes through the patch you hear an aggravated hissing sound and the thread is withdrawn

Before you can even react she has darted behind you lifted you up and put her knife to your neck, "Prove to me that your Kozac... what was the name of the god who was the patron diety where we had our mission together?"

Phobos. I am shocked you dont trust me and if you wanted me dead then do it now because if i need to die i want it to be by your hands. i turn ignoring the knife. No because when she kills me with the knife she pierces my heart so i have time left to turn and see you move then with my dying breath i can throw them at you and because i am trained to do so there is a chance they miss but there is a bigger chance that they hit and because it isnt a large room it is almost point blanc XD

I am blood bonded (and thank you proto it is nothing personal but my char is in love with her and she even tried to kill me then my char would commit suicide because his loved one wanted him dead. So thats also the reason why he doesnt wanna know if it was an mission or not)

Au....aurella i only want to know one thing. Did you love me? The tear is sitting like frozen on my cheeck.(it would make a cool effect that when i die that tear would fall in slomo and then hit the ground when i am really REALLY dead)

Thanks to my thick armor and mana shield im not immediately overwhelmed by the flames and can close in on my targets, however, nothing lasts forever and im gonna need some help soon. Even if its just a bucket of water to cool the armor...

I leap to my feet and attempt to run to the center. As I run, I throw both spells, and bolts of pure magic into the black abbyss below me. I cast every spell I know, blaze, ice flare, disintergration lance and infernus umbra, hoping some of them will damage what ever is below me.

"Orac, hold this walkway for me." Ranun says, and once Orac does he runs across to get the plates and help Edon.

(The Group) Rarora's careful preparation was needed, almost immediatly after touching the walkway a dark shape flows over Ranun's back and a loud clang is heard, but Ranuns armour hold, a quick shot from Rarora hits the shadow and a crunching sound can be heard, immediatly afterwards a sharp ticking sound like stone on stone can be heard from all around

"Get the plates hurrryy" Ranun yells as he sprinted to each alter to get all of the the plates... he didn't want to find out what that noise was.

The dead carry on heedless of the stinging arrows, pressing deeper into Imperial lands.

Ranun tres to lift the plate out of the ground but he finds it is actually a pressure pad

(mordo) Soon this becomes imposible, your way is barred by a great host of infantry wearing plate armour and wielding large hammers. orcs

I turn around and hug her. Never scare me this way ok. But where is lotus i havent seen her since we were upstairs. But we may not sty here to long. Oh and aurella who did you think i where? Would someone else want a bloodbond? And believe me the only one who look the same then me are other blood bonded people. So yes i am a quite rare appearance. And aurella the next time you want to know iif im kozac you can do it in two ways. The first way is just feel me. And the second way is the one i less prefer. And that is that you run a little away and watch me see colapse. But aurella i will never let someone hurt you without him being followed into eternity by dead himself.

Look lets say i have a little experience with demons. I have been chased by one a LONG time because i was on the wrong place on the wrong time. When i entered the city of marienburg. My first human city i entered there was a demonic incursion taking place slaughtering all. I could flee. And because i was the only survivor of the incursion they wanted me dead to and they looked really everywhere. Lets just say they dont like survivors that much.

"You have the swords though... doesnt that mean you can kill them?"

Now i can but i cant protect you from 250 demons at the same time because that is what is going to happen. We need to get to the knights of phobos and fast

She nods, "they would help us, but we should bring Proto and Lotus with us, they may be in danger"

Everyone who helps us is in danger so yes they must follow if they want to live. I still hug her i use spear tongue on her you really scared me.because i couldnt feel you anymore.

He sprints up the stairs jsut as the front door explodes open, you hear his annoyed shout, 'Oh now really that was expensive to have that carved"

i grab my weapons and go get lotus. then i return and prepare to fight!

I stamp on the pressure pads, eager to get the treasure out of this temple as fast as possible.
I continue to cast magic at the shadows in the depths below us.
I wonder wether my spell book has any infomation about combating these sorts of foes. I signal to Darath, who uses rapid growth to encase me in a sort of viney trent, which I then freeze with Ice flare.
As the gem in my staff glows a bright blue colour, the air around me chills, and I begin to see my breath. As the energy of the spell zips out into the intertwined branches of Daraths spell, I reach into my bag, and produce a small spell book. I flick through it, hoping to find information, or even spells, which will help us combat these shadow creatures, or at leased be able to see them properley. As I look through the worn pages of my book, I think to my self, mabey these spells could help us trap the shadows in the forest to.
I urge myself to read quickly though, as I know the battle still rages on around me.

The elite units of the Golden Guard form into a heavy shield wall as arrows fall among the orcs.

I reload my cross bow, and begin to run across the boards.

(The group) Edon is still paralysed but the party drags him onto one of the plates and others stand on more, still scrabbling to beat away the sightless guardians. Eventually when all of the pressure plates are depressed the artifact is revealed, Ranun grabs it and with the rest of the party begins to beat his way out, Durath remembers to grab you as the party retreats.

The battle was supposed to last for a feew battles then the warlock gets fed up with you and comes to "deal with you himself"...

but i guess i can jump it forwards....

As you hack your way through the daemons you feel a tightening of the air around you and then an explosion rips through the air throwing you backwards, in the place you were standing there is the warlock grinning and preparing anouther spell

(Mordo) The arrows ping of enchanted armour, clearly granted by some holy order as your spells seem to dissolve against them. The arrows of the enemy cease to fall however and you hear the wooping crys and thundering hooves of a massed charge into the flank of your force

Proto vaults down the stairs and decapititates a hellhound that had charged through the door

you impale anouther as it lunges for you and one more falls to you as your second blade goes throguh the roof of its mouth.

Then arc's of lightening streak from above and smite down five of the beasts simoultaneously. Lotus lowers her still smoking hands and yells "We need to get out of here, there are to many"

No really i yell back. I didnt notice that. I start making a way so we can get out

The hounds keep streaming into the room, lotus face palms, "of course"

she goes into her pocket and then flicks a small sphere towards the deamons. "Die wretches"

the sphere explodes and ripples a holy force through the room that desintegrates the daemons, "Lets go, NOW!!!"

Rarora, ive already posted on that, you will have noticed that i mentioned that the entire party was involved in getting the artifact and getting out (its the helmet this time) that includes you

(The assassins) The group makes their way out of the city and then starts to ride across country to the holy city, as you approach it you begin to notice the lack of guards on the walls

(Mordo) The horsemen try to stop ut their own wieght pushes them onto the pikes, however the men and elves atop the horses were nimble enough to leap off the horses and land amoungst your warriors, twin swords hacking through the skeletons

(Eckeon) The warlock tries to dodge but takes a hit on his chest, he is thrown backwards and sprawls on the dirt. His daemons continue fighitng your friends and the warlock flicks a globule of some crimson liquid towards you

athough it dangerous, i look for a guard captain and offer our servises if needbe

Before he was going to do it i hold him back. " we have a brother here follow me. Lotus if you want you can already rent rooms for us in the tavern we have to do some ........ business."

I start walking towards the fortress inside the city.

When we reach the walls i hide all my assasin stuff. I also say that the others need to do that as well. We will just walk to these gates. Follow me. I walk to the gate keepers and say "hello brother i needed to get these two for the librarian. It was something with reletives."

The skeletal warriors return blow for blow, sinking their blades deep into Imperial flesh.

The group move through the gates, the small number of guards worry you and you hurry to the library, you open the door and move through, the Librarian is siting at his usual desk and look sup as you come in, "Brother Kozac, it is good to see you, and these are?"

Slowly the undead push the Federation back but then the full length of thier ploy is revealed, crude explosive devices have been shoved into the ribcages of your warriors.

Your eyes would have widened if you had any but you realise that the enemy are charging again, before they rech you the explosives detonate creating massive gaps in your front line just as the enemy close

Expecting that globlet to just be blood i let it hit me, and move towards the warlock...

The globbet hits you, and it is indeed blood, but it burns like it was made of fire, it gets into your armour wraps over your arms, covers your skin and it Burns

i introduce myself and lotus but not aurella i allow kozac to do that

AARGH!! The pain is crippling I drop to one knee overwhelmed. But the pain turns to anger and fuels rage, warriors in a rage equals bad juju. With nashing teeth I stand and though the pain is nearly blinding I set my focus on the warlock, I scream with a fury born of pain and leap at the warlock, thinking that to end him will end the pain and bring relief...

(Eckeon)The sword you carry shears through the warlocks neck and he collapses to the gound, his head rolling away. The fire continues to burn on your skin for a time longer, a time where you feel like the world has been set alight by daemons, but then it all stops, your vision comes back into focus and your body feels fine, no trace of the cripling pain remains.

As my vision and mind clear from the searing, burning pain; I look down at the corpse of the warlock. It appears to be decaying rapidly. The result of many years interacting with the dark powers had extended his life but now the effects of time that were held at bay are now taking their due payment. I look around to see if any of the deamons remain...

(noccy)The librarian shakes his head sadly, "I have found nothing im afraid, but i havnt had the time to truly search the archives."

(Proto) You head to the smithy and talk to the blacksmith there, to your surprise he is already constructing some but you think that a smaller crossbow with a faster feed maybe more efficient than his large bolt thrower, you begin to get to work

(Eckeon) The daemons are all dissapearing even as you look around

Ok brother its fine. I want aurella to see something. I walk to the vault and wait till aurella is next to me then i open him and let her see the vault with some of the jewels.
(Marta it would really be nasty if the lib stole everything. But i guess not XD)

With the threat dissipating, I look for my squad and the city leaders to assess damages and casualties, and then hopefully we can move on to another area.

The dead slowly push the Imperials back to an even footing, but you find that any of the warriors wearing the holy armour are immune to ressurection

the rest however you promptly have risen to fight for you,

oh and wild, as far as obsidian armour goes, its plate, doesnt slow you down as an archer but it still gives you the same level of protection because of the magical properties of the armour

You begin to hear the howling of helldogs outside the fortress, you climb the wallt o have a look, and what you see shocks you, dozens of packs of wolfs, some significantly larger than the others (wolf size not pack size) are roaming the plains, all of them are blood red and seem to run slightly abouve the ground rather than on it.

The town is a ruin, houses have burned to the ground and the wall itself is on fire, even though it is made of stone and iron.

many of the combatants on your side are dead, half a dozen Ataani are lying dead in the streets and just under 3 dozen civilians and children

(Noccy) He looks VERY interested, 'You have both the swords? incredible, i would ask to study them but this is not the time, no.... you say you were the only ones who survived, you mean they attacked the guild?

"Those filthy bloody..." he dissapears behind a bookshelf and you hear a bit of clattering and a curse then he comes back into view holding a very very very powerful looking crossbow, its multicurved iron arms are held well forwards of the stock and you watch him twist a small lever once fully round which through some kind of mechanical trickery pulls the cordage all the way back and snaps it into place. he puts a strange looking cage made of wire, its thin and tall, about a foot high and 2 inches wide.ontop of the crossbow, inside it are dozens of bolts for the weapon, all are glowing with a strange white hue.

"I think its time i came out of the library, and my memory isnt as good as it used to be but im sure i mentioned neither of those things... but your right, there will be some kind of leader to the packs, and capturing one of them would be extremely useful... We should go to the walls, and get Aurella kitted up, everyone needs to be hands on deck,"

you turn to Aurella to see her strapping wrist crossbows to her arms and a pair of curved long knives to her back, she dons a strange black garment that absorbs light and when you touch it it seems to be as hard as steel but as soft as fabric.

She looks at you with a smile, "Its a robe made from the woven hairs of a Unicorn that was killed by my ancestors many hundreds of years ago, the hair turns black when a unicorn is killed in cold blood."

i know the story of the nezotec unicorn rites aurella. but i never expected them to be used at date. aurella we need to stayclose you know what happens else. maybe we can do the little dances our ancestors did. i wink to her.

The party has just escaped from the Third temple with the artifact helm,

The assassins are in the city of Phobos seking refuge from Daemons

Mordoskull has engaged the Federation army on the east coast

and the Ataani and the warrior have survived an attack from a warlock and his pet Daemons, although the town they were defending was ruined

I look in my spell book, searching for any clues on how I might be able to stop these shadow coaches compleatley.
While I do this, Orac takes the lead, and we move towards the forth and final temple, wondering what we will have to face there...

you look back and one of the shadow creatures is straining to free itslef from the temple but it cant manage it

I look at the shadow creature, trying to assatain what it is. I assume, from the fact that it can't follow us, that it is somehow bound to the temple. Prehaps, I think to my self, we could bind one of the shodow coaches to something, and stop it from leaving.
Me and Darath begin to prepare the binding spell, after deciding to bind it to a small crystal ball which I found resting in the bottom of my bag.
The crystal was formed by master elven craftsmen, and designed to be a container for spirits and ghosts. It was given to me by the head seer in my town temple, as a present, on my 14th birthday. He told me it would bring me luck, sometime in my future, I assume that time is now...

one of them stops directly before you and a strangely shaped figure steps out, it appears to be human but the proportions are all wrong, long arms and fingers and short legs.

it raises one of its unnaturally long fingers and points to Ranun, who has the gloves and is still holding the helm, and then to Orac who has the chestpiece. then it dissapears, along with the carriages, you cast your binding spell but its to late

We camp for the night, and then continue on our way towards the final temple.
We think that the presence of the artifacts allows the shadows into the real world.
We re-distribute the artifacts between our party, I take the gloves, Rarun takes the Helm and Orac takes the breast plate.
We aproach the temple ready to see what we will face...

ok lunier i think its best if we go. We will let proto and lotus here as help for the defence of the city

So, with the town in ruins, we'll bury the dead with as much of the proper fanfare as warranted; and capable given the destruction of the city.

Also expect that the people will travel somewhere else, I suppose that we'll travel with them for a time...??

(basically, the bonuses for each piece of armor are better when you but them together. Instead of just being 1+1+1, it would become: 1+2+3 effectively because the pieces of armor, when together, act much better than they would individually.)

The golden army routs the Federation, but something is uneasy in your mind, it should not be this easy, there should be more resistance, where are the knights of phobos?

(Ranun) (Well put essentially the helmet increases the harmonious stat of the character, this is the stat that best supports the Pure stat, in the case of a warrior the pure stat is strenght, the white stat HP and the Harmonious stat would be constitution. Thus you have strong attack armour and hp, for a mage it is MP Intellegence and wisdom, stron magic attack magic defense and MP The pure stat is increased by 100% with all three pieces, the white stat is increased by 75% and the Harmonious stat is increased by 75%)

(The Party) You look at the wall and are startled for a second, the wall is blank, you look hard at the wall and use a spell of revealing but the wall stays blank, clearly whatever will be inside the temple is supposed to remain secret until te victim, whoops sorry explorer, enters

(Noccy) Lunier seems to be a newer man, the holy magic of the temple revitalising him while his purpose is in killing the Daemons. He flicks a small lever and some devilish contraption inside his crossbow begins rapidly firing the string, he smiles and flicks it off, "Im ready"

I gather the pieces of armour together, and put them on.
I feel the power of the artifacts run through my body, and the gem in my staff glows with a blue light.

I check the rest of my party is as ready for whatever awaits us as they could be. We get out our Dragoran swords, and activate any other magic charms we may have.

We walk up the steps of the final temple eager, but at the same time scared, of what we are about to face. I ready my staff in my right hand, and my sword in my left, and signal for the rest of my party to do like wise.

Ordering the Golden Army into loose fighting blocks, and forming a massive diamond with his army, Iliad calls for pikes to be deployed at the edges of the diamond, ready to ward off any attack.

(Tallon) You walk through the doorway and you thought you were used to the internal massive proportions of these tamples but this one takes the cake, thousands of square metres of open floor are plain and empty, except for the statues, Hundreds of them, standing to attention, an entire army, archers, swordsmen, pikemen, chariots, cavalry, mages, the lot. And at the far back of the Room there is a tall imposing warrior wielding a pair of medium length swords made from white marble. On this effigy are a pair of shoulder guards, the black of them contrasting sharply with the white of his swords and the terra cotta colour of the troops.

For now all of them are motionless

(Iliad) The diamond stays like that, perfectly still for some time, then you realise that the knights arnt even on the field of battle. You send out some scouts, and they report back, the knights have set up a temporary camp about 20 leagues east of your position

I am Eckeon, a demon hunter of sorts. I met up with Yarnik and his men in another town a few days to the south, though, it was already overrun by demons. So we were travelling inland to search for someone with enough magical power to reverse or at least stop the tragedy of that town. We ended up here and as you can see they also were under an assualt of the demonic... Now that I think about it I wonder if this warlock was the same that turned the other town. That would be a relief.

But tell me young sir what be your name and your purpose if you are not travelling with Yarnik and his men? Come to think of it where is Yarnik I think he'd like to meet a fellow ataani.

ooc i take it from the map myself and the ataani are on the NE side of the Old Kingdom, with the intent of pushing to phobos castle?

Ordering the corpse-chariots into position, they charge down at the camp, their spectral steeds making no sound as they hurtle towards their prey.

It`s simple, just destroy the statues now! They cannot fight back.

I draw power from the artifacts, and send a massive disintergration lance straight down the nearest row of statues. I continue to cast, blowing apart statues left, right and center.

Nevermind I got the eastern continent stuff

I wander far from the group and remove the last 2 exploders from my bag, i chuck them in opposite directions, each cleaving apart groups of the tightly packed statues.

(All of a sudden the statues spring to life, and a strange tableu appears before you, Edon as he walks through the ranks of stautes casting magic into them fires at them yes, but when the magic hits them, it richochets from the small group of statue with the symbols beneath them, to the much larger group with the swords, these statues prove vulnerable to the magic and it destroys them utterly.

The statues seemingly immune to the magic, turn on the ones without, (For the purpose of simplicity we will call the statues fighting for you "Marked" and the ones against, "Unmarked")


Ranun cleaves into the marked statues and they soon surround him swinging and fighting but he can resist them, just.

Rarora, makes a great swath with the exploders but he soon realises that unless he gets back to the group he wont survive.

(Eckeon) (Yarnek has been afk for a while, will take control of his char if he doesnt turn up in 12 hours.)

and yes you guys are NE abouve the old kingdom, most of the next part of your timeline will involve moving through it, and the mountains of silence beyond.

(The group) All of you notice a conspicuous lack of core energy in the room, usually there was a great orb that floated around the cieling, but not here, then you notice the Unmarked general glowing slightly and all of you realise, if you can kill him then it stops. But getting to him could be an issue, the ranks of Unmarked are thick and many, it will take a long time to fight through this horde.

The small group exits the city swiftly and heads for the nearby forest, once inside it after evading the packs of prowling wolves you begin to make a plan.

I think its best for us to hunt the hunter. We all have anti demon weapons. So we only need to disable one and catch him. Then I will question him and then its better for you to just ignore every sound. And aurella then you will feel how i punish the ones who are a threat to you. I look to her removing some of my long white hair out of my face

No the weapons were built as a pair, there is deep old magic in them, they are simply Meant to be a pair, like you and Aurella, they dont work when apart, and forging them together may do some good, but they would loose their greatest strength, the ability to strike two things at the same time.

youwait for a time and eventually the wolves start to come through, one of them passes close to Aurella and she nearly cries out but you touch her hand and she grits her teeth even though she is shaking.

The wolves pervade a sense of hoplessness and fear, even you are feeling the shudders of pure terror

The hounds move through the walls of the tent without damaging them, after a few seconds they come back out and thats when Lunier acts, you see a sprayof darts flick out and slam into the flank of one of them, pinning it to the ground.

a couple of hours after the trio leave the gates you begin to hear daemonic howls outsid ethe fortress which set fear through your bones, then the sound of a massive drum reverberates through the fortress, you sprint to the top of the wall and the sight terrifies you. Dozens of huge Daemons, 5 times the hieght of a man, wielding titanic poleaxes are marching amid swaths of lesser cohorts. One of the Larger daemons has a massive drum attatched to his chest, upon which he is pounding a massice mace made from the magicallly bonded skulls of humans elves and other free races.

(The group) the general has guarded himself well, the shots seem to flicker of a sort of energy field, which surrounds him. Soon without your aid however the Marked statues begin loosing to the far superior numbers of unmarked

(eckeon, yeah ikr)

(Mordo) The undead charge into the camp to find a shield wall waiting for them, most impact upon it and skitter into many pieces as some form of holy magic shred thier bones to a fine powder.

first i fire a bolt at the drum. destroying it and hopefully reducing deathen i use my crossbow to mon moral kill as many as i can

I rush to them and start the dance by killing one. Then aurella rolls over my back and takes my weapons while she slams them in two other ones then. We take each others arm with each one sword in th other hand and we start killing the other hounds. Then we end by her in my arms.

The corpse-chariots that initially it the shield wall pull back to the rear of the Golden Army, beating a hasty retreat from the holy magicks of their foe. Golden Pikemen step forward, jabbing the Knights of Phobos with fantastically long impaling spears. The Pikemen move to surround the Knights, impaling those within the gaps of the shield wall, pressing ever forwards in a tightening noose. Archers from a nearby hilltop launch arrows by the hundreds down upon the living, their shafts screaming down to hit their marks. The Liche Priests and Necrolytes engage in soul-crushing magickal duels that reduced the loosers to desiccated husks that crumbled to dust and were blown away in the wind. The King of Dust himself added his eldritch might to such duels, scouring the minds of enemy wizards with claws of darkness that ripped free from the bodies of their victims. Golden Spearmen moved to complement the Golden Pikemen, stepping behind their longer brothers to leap forwards when the Pikemen had fully closed the noose.

Seeing the magical field around the general shimmer, as the spells impacted it, the group redirect their fire, and double their efforts, as they attempt to push the unmarked statues back.

(noccy) The two of you dance around the grove ripping into the Daemon hounds, at one stage on of them shifts away from you and then when you turn away to avoid it it jumps an impossibly long distance and knocks you to the ground and grips your left arm in its massive jaws twisting slightly to hear a loud *crack* and an excruciating pain lances up your arm.

The hound is shot to pieces by Lunier and then Aurella takes one of your swords and hacks its head of, she then rushes over and cradles your arm in her lap

"Not here i am sorry, we will have to get the hound back into the fortress. I am sorry Kozac but you will have to help us with your other arm, this beast is too heavy for the lady and I."

(The Group) The party manages to kill many of the Statues but then a problem arises, dozens of marble arrows, (Phobos knows how they were being fired from marble bows) began to fall amongst your party, Orac and Durath take hits and Ranun shields the rest of you from most of the harm, but then marble horsemen ride up and set fire to the platform the party is standing on.

(Mordo) Your liche priests and necromacers find it is all but impossible to gain any ground against men who have trained for centuries to destroy them and their ilk. But they can hold them at bay. The magical forces on the knights armour seem to affect your weapons as much as the bodies of the fallen. Whenever a pike jabs at the Shields insetead of pushing the shield back it is as if the Pike rebounds knocking the user backwards into his fellows.

You grimly force your warriors to fight on, knowing the nature of such spells is related to the amount of energy invested in them, once that energy runs out then the enchantment is broken, and unfortunatley there is no other way.

The arrows of your archers prove to be all but inneffective as they skitter of the roof of the shield wall. and then you have even more troubles. Some kind of holy magic is turning the ground to flame, and because of the nature of your warriors many of them are incredibly vulnerable to this flame.

As soon as the fires spring up, so so the knights of Phobos, they seem to become exponentiually larger but then you realise the cunning of thier ploy. They had dug a pit wide enough and deep enough for the full company of horsemen to stand waiting with their shields hovering infront of them to make the wall. As the knights charge up they collect their shields and then smash into your dissarrayed forces.

Standing atop his chariot, the King of Dust chants, calling a great whirling mist of golden sand formed from the sundered bones of his warriors, forming a colossal globe of dust that sucks the moisture from the air, withering plants and killing the soil as the water within them dries completely. Spinning the globe about in his skeletal fingers, Iliad breathed forth malignant energy granted him by the Golden Man himself, not as much hurling the sphere as guiding it along the ranks of the holy ones. The King of Dust whipped the globe of grave-sand across the enemy wizards, leeching the moisture from their bodies until they crumbled into dust, their remains joining the great ball before he pushed it within the ranks of the knights themselves, eliciting screams of pain as their moisture evaporated. Iliad sent a psychic command to his sorcerers, ordering them to cast spells of protection and enhancement upon the Golden Army, forcing them ever on against their eternal foe.

The knights continue chargeing heedless of the great ball of sand, a lance smashes into the front ranks of your force, then anouther, and anouther, soon ranks upon ranks of your warriors lay broken in the dust, the protective enchantments of your liches seemingly innefective against the tides of Holy warriors.

You hear a great horn from behond your foces and 300 silent paladins smash into your ranks, your archers are decimated by the rush of warriors and your infantry fare no better, soon you are pinioned between two powerful forces and your whole concentration is on keeping the globe of sand aloft, which is slowly eating away at the ranks of holy warriors.

(I already anounced it XD and as i said i call it a "dance" XD)
I take the hound in my good arm and lift it onto my back. I am fine i lie completly calm ignoring the immense pain letting noething see to aurella. I begin walking. Lunier now you CAN pay me back. Protect aurella while i carry this thing.

Aurella isnt fooled, "You have a broken arm, Kozac, let me help at least, i can feel your pain coming across our bond"

I know but we must hurry. I feel you are worried aurella but dont be afraid. I will take you to a safe place we must hurry as the demon blood attracts other demons so come with me. And aurella i am a tough one. I have cheated death many times on impossible odds so i can handle this. I try to calm her. While i keep moving.

I continue walking while i still keep myself getting aurrella's her presence inside of me. This gives me enough power to ignore the pain and keep walking while i stay calm and keep i keep asuring that all will be alright.

May the very earth scream as it dies, forever barren as your women! May your dead rise to murder you in the bright of day, tearing you apart for all to see! The heavens themselves will purge your nation from this world with rains of blood! No one will remember the Federation, nor the Cult of Phobos! Your gods are dead, for I hath slain them! Thus does the King of Dust curse you!" Bringing the globe to rest in the center of the foe, Iliad releases the magic within with explosive force, spraying burning sand in all directions to leech the moisture from watery shells. Driving his chariot into the ranks of the holy, Iliad swings his massive khopesh, stealing lives and sowing murder with every stroke. The remnants of the Golden Army follow behind, butchering those knocked aside by their lord's charge, claiming the death-rattles of their victims. The surviving sorcerers pour their magic into protecting their liege, surrounding him in a nimbus of shimmering golden light.

Flames?!?!??? Counter fire with fire!

Ranun uses flames of purgation and jumps off of the platform into the knights, yelling "FOOR PHOBOOS AND SYRNGA" - carving a path for his companions. Fueled by pure adrenaline and nerve, he tries to push and break through the lines to reach the marked general.

(I'll attempt to use inquisition on these guys.. see if it works.)

(Proto) The drum is pierced and the Daemons all look to your position.

(The group) Ranun hits the ground as the Statues fall back yellign in pain. this confuses you slightly as they are only statues, and when you cast inquisition one of them falls to the ground his head exploded into marble shards.

(Mordo) You feel the fight evening out, many of the knights lie dead but you feel no passion about the deaths, their bodies are useless, the holy bones unsueable to regenerate your force. You will have to find new living after this battle

the knights fight on, using their own brand of magic to purge every skeleton they kill, none may be ressurected.

the Daemons rush screaming at the walls as the defenders fire streams of crossbow bolts into the advancing tide and a group of you all target the closest "Big" daemon, after several tense moments of shooting the cursed thing goes down, squashing some of its comrades

The trio get to the edge of the forest and stop abruptly, infront of them about 300 metres away is a huge Daemonic army, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, even as you watch one of the Daemons, the one carrying a huge drum is peppered with darts from many crosbows and collapses to the ground

We need to get iinside. Lets use lightbend and get inside. I feel the pain in my arm but ignore it.
