Nobody imagined their response to temporarily lacklustre sales largely brought on by their own questionable business decisions would be to rip up and throw away 30+ years of work, yet here we are. They've evidently learned from the End Times/AoS launch debacle that it's better to heat up the frog slowly than try and chuck him into already boiling water, but just because this time around they're unlikely to go completely berserk doesn't mean the rules for 8th won't be a radical enough departure to split the community, and like I say if that does happen and it's going to be more difficult to find a game with someone you agree on everything with anyway I'd rather have the rules in a format that can be easily worked backward to earlier 40K editions.
It's not as if they wouldn't be putting out updated rules on their site/in WD if the changes to 40K do end up being more on the radical end of the spectrum, so you'd still get them for whatever it ends up as.
To be fair I really couldn't care less about another thunderhawk.
The custodes dreadnought however, that's a different matter.
Have 2 of them sat here now still waiting on the rules.
Kind of impulse purchased a lot of custode stuff but it's collecting dust until the rules are shown.
Willing to donate a kidney if needed for the rules :p
If you want a Thunderhawk as a display piece then I can see the attraction, but as a gaming model it sucks as it takes up so much of the table. I've used mine a handful of times, by comparison I use my Reaver an order of magnitude more. I'd save your money and get something else if you want more than a display piece.
I was convinced that the new IA book was coming at the weekender but now I think they'll save it for the next open day. Looking at Warhammer World's calendar I see the first weekend in April is blocked off, is that for an open day or something else?
Pretty much everything above Land Raider size is completely impractical as a 28mm scale game piece, but for some reason lots of people seem to love buying them. If I had unlimited hobby funds I might be tempted to get a Thunderhawk just to use as a terrain piece/objective/special scenario deployment thingy, but alas some of us have to buy models that actually have some possibility of regular use.
The Thunderhawk/Stormbird/Manta are far worse than anything else I own due to the size of their horizontal footprint being far larger.
My Reaver takes up approx 7" * 9" on a table with space between its legs while my Thunderhawk takes about 18" * 19". If you play with a decent amount of scenery then I normally only have to remove one or two bits to navigate the Reaver around the table as it has space between its legs as well. I have never had a problem playing with my Titan Maniaple, we frequently play Imperial Titan vs. Eldar Titan LoW.
The same is not true for the Thunderhawk, it needs nearly a square foot of clear space, if I want to move it then all the tiles have to be clear or cleared, not fun.
As a static model the Mastodon makes more sense, it is the perfect semi mobile bunker and has a much smaller footprint as it doesn't have wings.
While I enjoyed building and painting my Thunderhawk, it has not been good value as a gaming piece, and that is at the old release price.
Yeah, we played an Apoc game on Sunday and the Manta was a real hassle to get on the table as it just took up so much space. The Warhound, Reaver, Warlord, Revenant and Phantom combined weren't as much trouble.
If there is a new Thunderhawk, I will be happy for the 143 people that actually buy one. I have no use for one. As Yodhrin mentioned, above a certain size, you're not going to carry that gak to the local GW or other gaming spot.
Also, thinking about my house, where would I put it? There is room in the Beach Room and the Living room, but the wife would veto that. The kitchen and dining room are out. My basement doesn't have flat surfaces that aren't in use: Table is for board games and RPG and gets heavy use, NOTHING goes on the bar that doesn't contain alcohol, the desk is for surfing the web one-handed and painting minis, and the book cases are too narrow (and too tall! Calamity!) to hold it.
It would be in the way. Like putting milk in the wine fridge.
I vote "No Plastic Thunderhawk" because I can't store one.
I'm lucky enough to have an office at home that doubles as my hobby room, but eventually everybody runs out of space. I need to get a bigger bookcase for display in my office. Smaller stuff is in a display cabinet in my living room, and that is full as well.

Total opposite for me. The latest ruleset is impossible to get games in! Takes entirely too long to play. Fingers crossed they change almost everything and get it back to being a 90min game.

No warlord? Pffft, cheapskate.
I was waiting for a Chaos one to match my other titans, but I am fed up of asking and being told no immediate plans when I go to the open days. So current plan is to get one for my birthday this year and dremel off the bits that make it look like a loyalist Titan. I think selecting the right head, the power claw, lots of chaos symbol freehand, some chains/appropriate tattered banners and with a matching paint scheme to my others it'll work, or rather it had better work.

Hanging upside down from the ceiling on one of those garage bike rack thingies? You could pretend it's mid strafing run and make pew pew kaboom noises each time you pass under it to get to your car.

(Dammit. Now I'm tempted to give my DKoK one.)
I tried to find a good picture when I last mentioned the interior but couldn't find one, got lucky today. I normally don't bother taking many photos when I go to an open day as Battle Bunnies do a much better job than I can, but for some reason they didn't get as many photos this time so I've regretted that. What you can't make out from that picture is the fur rug on the back wall.
They need a bigger venue for the weekender. They send out a pre sale email to the people who bought the tickets last year, rather than those who actually went, which benefits the scalpers as they get first crack at the tickets. I'd rather they scrap the pre sale and did a lottery system for tickets. If wishes were kisses I'd put the full name and address on the tickets and make the person attending provide recognised ID for that name and address when getting their badge. Oh and if I'm getting unicorns then they should make Warhammerfest the same format.
There is a guy I see at every open day who buys many multiples of each of the new/limited releases (I've been behind him at the tills last three events, bizarrely), I assume he is a scapler (rather than buying in bulk for distant friends) and I wish he would be dealt with by GW but I guess it isn't in their interest.
I'd rather we discussed the weekender in this thread, makes it easier for me to keep track of it and refer back to in the future.
RiTides wrote: So how are we approaching the Horus Heresy Weekender tomorrow? Discuss here, or someone make a dedicated thread?
Depends on the amount of news, I guess. IIRC the last event they did didn't have much to talk about and there weren't very many pictures. Not much point in making a whole new thread if there's just one new model to show. But who knows, we could get something interesting this weekend.
Any of you Dakka folks going need to ask, on my behalf, about the House Vyronii decals. Ask them firmly. Demand release dates! DEMAND COPIES! ROUGH THEM UP IF YOU HAVE TO...
Im fearing the custodes are going to overshadow the SW and 1K Sons on their release. We haven't had any glimpses of new units for the two space marine legions but all sorts of pictures of gold marines.
I'm really surprised by that as Tony Cotterell makes a big song and dance at the start of every seminar about not videoing the seminars to keep them special for the people who paid to go. Surprised but very happy, Warhammer TV's Twitch has been much better than I expected.

I guess the stupid ticket allocation finally forced a change of tact.
It's all well and good keeping it event only, but if only the people that went last time have access to 99% of the tickets, it's hardly accessible.
I wish FW would have made their own custodes models instead of GW's which have annoying poses.. That's the main thing stopping me from buying the army.
FW will be releasing their own LC. We have seen bolter type on book cover. Still need LC Jet bikes and terminators. What exactly do we expect based on art for LCTDA? Why do they even need it as they already have the stats? Pics show them with heavy flamers. I do hope for some special characters. And rumors have said they will get a leviathan dread. Dreedo too?
Hey mods can we get legio custody shorthanded to LC?
Kirasu wrote: I wish FW would have made their own custodes models instead of GW's which have annoying poses.. That's the main thing stopping me from buying the army.
I expect we'll see resin conversion kits like we saw for the Mechanicum dudes.
I don't see what's so bitchin about this model: the pose is too generic and has been used quite a few times in different models. The armor is the same as for GW custodes. The weapon, well... It feels like this model has been made by taking several previous models ant just doing a mock up.

Yeah, well. That's just like, your opinion, man.
We have a cool version of the weapon, which doesn't look like the others, being held in an At Rest position.
His helmet is off so he can give his best "You fething what?" look to some poor shmuck.
His armor has more bling than a pimp convention in Atlanta.
And his pose tells me he's thinking "Right. When you're done running your mouth, I'm going to show you why I'm the boss. I just want you to say your piece so you can die after you said your stupid, rambling thoughts."
That Custode is the favourite* of mine that I've seen. Has a genuine old Warhammer Fantasy vibe.
*Believe it or not some of use prefer miniatures which aren't screaming at the top of their lungs with a long flowing mane doing a double back flipping spinning sword attack off of eight inches of cork or some column.
I don't do custodes, nor do I need any special resin miniatures, but that pose/sculpt is pretty fantastic.
Seriously, we should club together and get Mad Doc a bottle of scotch or something for setting that group up, it's going to be so good to lay hands on one of these without paying some profiteering git double or more the actual price.
Guessing we can expect a warlord upgrade kit then and some new weapons.
Currently on Google seeing if I can pull any more info from book 7.
Primarily custodes rules.
Edit:
Magnus is going to be nasty.
Possibility of dropping down D templates with ignores cover without having to see what he's shooting.
I'd have to guess 550 points.
Also keep in mind anti psyker models and units in 30k are scarce.

Which group? There appears to be a few Mad Doc's out there, lol.

40k and Warhammer Trip Booty Sharing, there is a link in Mad Doc Grotsnik's sig

Also, WW typically sell Event Only models in the FW shop. As I'm in that neck of the woods beginning of March, I should be able to swing by and check it out. Plan is 'nip in and check' on my way up, let the group know, then attempt NerdAid on my return leg. And as per the group's Golden Rule, any deals are done At Cost...

Horus is the most expensive primarch with 500 pts and no other primarch will beat that. Маgnus looks like 450-460 pts or so.
Valdor is a GK grand master that's just appeared for 40k.
Krole I have no clue on.
So we know the big E is on his way.
May have to hold on with a conversion in that case.
For people more in the know, how long after an event would you think the book would be?
Just wondering how long of a wait it will be if I can't get one from the weekender.

Constantine Valdor is the captain general of the legio custodes
Krole is the head sister of the silent sisterhood.
I cant belive we'll get the emperor.
But still if there are any "leaks" concerning about custodes termis pls share them here I. NEED. TO. KNOW!!!!!! hahahahah
Cheers and it's weird, on the gathering thread Valdor is the GK grand master in the marine set.
Wondering if it's the same guy or if it's just the same name.
Edit:
Ignore me, I'm getting senile and confusing names haha.

Pretty sure that the chap on the stream said the GK was called Voldus.
Yeah, I was about to ask the same. People are saying he's Voldus - some kind of totally new character, like the femquisitor. And I heard, that some1 heard (lol), that FW said (lol again), they would give Valdor a separate model. Because, obviously, he deserves one.
i have a important test tomorrow. I cant concentrate because i have to reload all "leak" pages every minute until i know if i'll get custodes termis. I wanted those guys since i was 13. I need to know this. AHHHHHHH

All the TSons art looks awesome. They get a funky pre-crusade colour scheme, Ben Kingsley disguised as Amon, some cool robots, and termies with nifty helmets. Now let's see the models!
Might have to make an allied detachment of field police. Maybe with imperial fists rules.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Even if they did give us field police, it would probably be an apothecary type thing. But maybe taking up an HQ slot instead of an elites one.
Dunno, it was never explained. That picture and an ancient lead shoulderpad with that symbol on it was the only thing ever put out. Love how Forgeworld have turned them into Pseudo Commissars
OK, so I managed to get myself a warhound in the Adeptus Titanicus demo game.
This game is awesome. I cannot express how much I enjoyed playing and how brilliant this game is.
Brief partial synopsis:
Uses a turn sequence of roll for initiative(D10 off) Orders, move, fix, shoot, remove orders
Goes unit activation (so I move one, you move one until nothing to move then I fire one, you fire one until nothing left to fire)
Titans get a plasma overheat track. Doing stuff extra to the bare minimum causes a roll that may odd 0,1 or 2 to your overheat. If your overheating then between movement and shooting you might have "bad things" happen, I got a "take a powerful hit" which than caused my plasma to overheat by and extra 1 each turn! The opposing Warlord lost all of its void shields from an overheat (which is very, very bad).
A titan has 3 locations; Head, Body, legs. Each tracks damage separately. You can choose to target an area for a modifier to your to hot roll or take it randomly.
Right, time for bed so I'll leave with: This game is very awesome and will take all of my money as soon as it comes out.
99% likely to be a typo. Forgeworld has an unfortunate tendency to use alternative names for rules sometimes. Brutal (or was it Furious) Assault instead of Furious Charge is one. I'm sure there are other instances where they've used their inhouse/unofficial name for a rule rather than the official name.
Yeah and Custodes Jetbike also give +1T on top of the +1T granted by the Jetbike type... however they're still only T6 rather than T7 (remembering Custodes are T5 base).
Again either a mistake or possible future-proofing. I'm inclined to go with superfluous mistake though atm.

Cast Cleansing Flame as WC4 using Mindwrath, on average it becomes 18" radius, 2d6x Str D (though only AP4) hits to every enemy unit within range with ignores cover. Ow. Owwwwwww. The pyromancy powers even become deadly too (Sunburst is a WC1 version of cleansing flame but with a bolter instead of a heavy bolter as base str and AP while molten beam becomes a 24" beam that's Str D AP1 on anything but snake eyes), but Smite? Smite also becomes Str D on average when pushed (and it's already AP2) with 4 shots and you're assured of getting it due to being a primaris. Oh dear.
Oh Magnus, if only you had access to flickering fire as well. Oh well, give it time, give it time...
He's 495 pts, so he's the 2nd most expensive Primarch.
But yeah wowzers he is amazing. Thankfully he doesn't hand out any innate buffs to his fellow Marines like most of the other Primarchs, he's mostly just a psychic beatstick.

I know that feeling. I'm in the process of repairing mine from an incident before getting back to painting/final construction.
At least the arms and head are magnetized, so it should be possible to swap in psy titan parts if I like them. May actually stick to just a psy titan in epic instead.
Hope it means that other warlord weapons will be seeing release. We need some more carapace mounts (and for the Reaver as well! )
So FW is now on the power creep train with the 2 new legions for sure.....
Just do some comparisons power level wise between the new legions and old ones.....
SW are just flat out better than most if not all the other legions they have done rules for....and my guess is the thousand sons are to once I really start looking at their rules.
I mean man---poor EC players lol gotta be like I got +1 init on charge and crusader then looks at SW rules and the huge list of special units and frost wpns and is like really???

SW have all their rules in one place. EC have them spread across several books. And all of the covered legions are about even with a Primarch, 2-3 unique units, 2-4 characters, legion traits, rites of war, often a unique weapon or two.
SWs are also more restrictive... all their Consuls are non-compulsory, they must take a HQ per 1000pts and they have a single compulsory Troop Choice (their special Despoilers).
And really it fits the fluff. The SWs and T-Sons were the most different of all the Legions structure-wise.
T-Sons might be a bit nasty to face with all the Psykers they can bring, but they also pay out the nose for that and their non-Psykers get less bonuses than the normal units of pretty much every other legion. Plus the more Psykers you spam the more Perils you are likely to get and the more army-wide pinning tests you have to make and pass.
They might be a bit above the curve but honestly we won't know for sure until they hit the table. However I'm fairly confident they aren't as powerful as you think they are.
just sit and compare the SW rules to the older legions...and the SW "restrictions" arent that bad esp since their "special" tacticals get 1 per 5 special wpns and can run and charge in the same turn for basically no draw back.
An when I saw older Im talking even after they were updated.
Even in the special melee wpns the SW win over almost everyone else short of like BA and WS. As they pay same or lower points for effectively better weapons.
Havent seen a full read out of thousand sons yet other than lots of psyker specials as expected.
Have seen the full pages of all the SW specials and they are much better than most the other legions...think only BA have about as good of rules with the awesome sword, good to wound, and assault cannon spam.
From the leaks I saw it seems that Ts get bonuses based on cults. So if you take the divination cult for a HS squad they can reroll 1s in the shooting fase if thy don't move during the movement phase. There are also +1 to sweep and run, fear and ad will, HoW or 2 of it if you allready had it. And Mgnus gives good buffs, +1 leadership and fearless for thw whole army, so you don't get pinned by perills.
Probably should have shared all 3 at the same time... but I must admit I was busy looking wide-eyed at the flavour the 3 lists have.
Also I thought I'd never say this... but FW has actually made me kind of want to start a SW legion army. That list just drips flavour and lacks anything glaringly stupid (I still think they're a bunch of hypocrites though ).
Hmm, it's interesting to see how those 2 unique T-Sons units look to be resin upgrade kits for the plastic models.
Not sure if I'm disappointed or not.
EDIT: That being said, I wouldn't be too disappointed it SW Grey Slayers got the same treatment as it'll probably be the closest thing to a Despoiler upgrade set we'll ever get.
(and it will make it super easy to make a dirty Vlka Fenryka force that annoys Drasius )
Looking at the custodes from inferno, am I right in thinking warblade armed custodes are troop?
Spear armed custodes are elites?
The side of the page is clipped but I'm trying to roughly work out what goes where lol.
Sisters executioner blade are AP3 now but become AP2 on a 5 or 6 to hit.
I'm not sure. In the WD article they were Elites but then again both they are the Guardians were missing out on a descent chunk of their wargear options.
They could be out of order like the T-Sons Legion rules or the could be in perfect order and now be a Troop choice.
Since the temp. Rules we got for them a lot seems to have changed.
Also glad I didn't buy the transport yet.
While it's good, it won't transport a full unit and they can DS given a small upgrade anyway.
The sentinel layout is nice for covering units though.
Shooting through them provides a 4+ cover.
Considering you can get stealth for all sisters, that will help loads.

Oooh, what a sweet looking Dunecrawler.
Mind you, the foot plates and icarus cannon barrels on the front looks like a conversion job.
Holy feth, that's a dakka-reffic looking Triaros! What the heck could those blue things inside be? Some kind of electric mortar gubbin?
And those lightning guns on the side... Perhaps a multi-shot profile, given the 4 cylinders in the back?

Only going by the old epic models, but since 2/3 have been made I'd assume the golgotha (?) is still to come.
I had a feeling the 3rd would be the massive Stasis cannon, that can plant a field that either slows time to a snail's pace, or greatly accelerates it.
Can't for the life of me find it again on the Wikia, but I 'spect I must've heard about it in something about The Beast Arises.
I really like the Custodes stuff, but no Terminators yet or Valdor. I am sad because I will not get my hands on the event exclusive mini. Normally I pass on them because they are not tempting enough, but I have finished my first five Custodes and that one would be very nice to have (without paying immense money on ebay) ...
Interesting that the secutarii may be gettng an HQ at last (the 'secutarii axiarch' from the leaked contents page)
My first reaction to the volkite dunecrawler was of glee due to it being included, but on looking at that iteration, i'd be glad to not see it in 30k - thats a half-arsed conversion the like of which i expect to see on eBay for a tenner at best.
Hnnng, that Acquisitor transport is amazing. And one of them rocking up next to a Primarch and disgorging a squad of Vigilators should make even the choppy-choppy ones nervous.
The rules for the Custodes though, Jeebus Tapdancing Christ they're good. Even considering their lower numbers. Honestly I wasn't expecting to want to collect them on an army scale simply because I like to have a fluff justification for my army and as such they'd rarely see the table, but they have so many toys...
The only thing coming out of this event I'm not enthused by is the hilariously ironic news that FW have finally started limiting purchases of event and pre-release models to one per-ticket, just as people formed a group to allow us to beat the scalpers at their own game There's a chance they might open up sales last-thing on Sunday if they have leftover stock, but that's not confirmed. I suppose I should be greatful considering the hilarioud 45 quid pricetag on Captain Walrustache there, but I actually quite wanted one.
Looks like some of the Imperial knight concepts that were shown in WD when the model originally launched. They could just be there to fill space, or FW could be planning on revisiting them for 30k or AT.
The spear upgrades on custodian guard squads are pretty damn good.
The option to swap the bolter for an inferno pistol is amazing.
Granted it's 15 points, but having a BA army I have around 30 inferno pistols sat here I can make use of.
HQ wise I'd say valdor is an auto take too.
Free deepstrike on all units without having to pay for it.
Great warlord trait, godly stats for a non primarch etc.
Him and a guardian squad could quite easily cut through most units in 30k.
Really loving the options and units though.
Glad I did impulse buy a ton of custodes.
Now rocking a 4k army once I convert valdor for now lol.
May have to take you up on that one bubber is the Mrs sees my bank statement this month lol.
Also, Ixion Hale being event only and £45 is a bloody nightmare.
Scalpers are loving the £100 price on him.
Don't mind paying slightly over retail but not paying £100 to some greedy fether that only wanted it to sell on.

Making it blatantly obvious I guess (yes, I know there's other ways of showing that). Plus I imagine if they're on the front lines, they may not get much opportunity to get decent stuff.

They tried at 54mm to show subtle bionics (that would be the eye), don't think it really translates. Think it's basically just a rule of cool thing.
I was reading through the pics of the rules for the Custodes, and it almost looks like a few things are actually missing.
Didn't see a definition of the Misericordia rule anywhere.
The jetbikes have a rule allowing them to shoot with each of their weapons, but they only have one gun each (unless you count tossing a grenade), not even the bolt pistol that legion jetbikes get to carry.
The Custodes transport is, honestly, useless without the Assault Vehicle rule. Such a low model count army simply can't afford to jump out of a transport and stand around just holding their for a turn before charging.
Ashiraya wrote: The bionics on the Siege Tyrants really bother me. I never understood why GW leaves bionic parts on Astartes models unarmoured.
Rule of cool, as with most things in 40k.
The real-world reason is rule-of-cool obviously, though they've actually attempted to give a in-universe explanation.
Partly, it's hard to wear Power armour on top of bionics since there's no black carapace to interact with the suit, partly it's a psychological thing. Showing the enemy that the marines can endure injuries and mutilation and still come back.

Especially the Iron Warriors, yeah. Plus I imagine the bionics are probably as strong as the armour anyway.

It's a 12-slot light stealth transport designed to basically roll up to the baddie psyker target, spray autocannon and web rounds everywhere, then have Sisters jump out and drag the baddie inside for unspeakable shenanigans.
Personally I love it. What I'm really waiting to see though is if FW do the hunter unit, I forget the name, that has the cyber-beasties, both because it's a cool concept and because it'd be more fuel on the INQ28 fire.
Also, please tell me people weren't buying cyclones?
Spellcrow makes blizzard missile launchers.
Tons cheaper, perfect size and look the same.
€4 for 2.
Think those tyrants will hurt the sales of spellcrow though.
And here I am slapping myself for spending all my hobby funds on paint... for my Thousand Sons legion, thinking Id have enough time before Inferno drops to save up again.
FW: Look at this! Inferno's out!
Ember: So? Its not THAT overpriced.
FW: Look! Sons Terminators!
Ember: I'll just use the GW ones.
FW: AND DREADNOUGHTS! AND MAGNUS! OH, AND SOME SWORD-Y GUYS! AND DIDNT YOU WANT SOME MORE CUSTODES?!!

Preview of the forthcoming rules for a game coming out -- but using 40k scale models .
This is at the HH weekender :
I saw some photos of the Titan stat cards making the rounds on social media. What do we think? Looks like there will be a gradient of capability based on damage taken.
So, the Emperor Himself is coming ? I truly think it's plain stupid, almost as that "heavy dread". However, this thread is pure gold !!! So many things, so much GOOD and WONDERFUL stuff, thanks guys.
The whale transport will look better painted, I'm certain. Very interesting. And psy-titan !!!!
What do you think about the Custodes ? They look a bit too much (antigrav, flare shield, BS5, 4hp.... for almost a predator with lascannons cost).
I'm very excited for this book, I hope some players will quicky use it against me !
Godardc - the big E was always coming and it was known.
Since this is retelling the entire heresy and all primarchs are being put out its a given.
Would be pointless to work up to the final battle and he's not there.

Oh, I have always thought they were just doing the Primachs, my bad so.
But it seems so strange to play with Big E, on the table.
Very strange era we are living in....
What is your favourite part of Inferno ?
I have to admit that the "Talon of the Emperor" overshadowed the Legions a bit for me.
Heavy dread just seems like a way to get SM to have a "Knight" model.. Pretty cool tho!
The Emperor having stats will be a bit of a letdown I'm sure tho, considering he's the most powerful being in the entire known galaxy. It's like fighting against a chaos god and he can force an entire legion to bow down to him or kill hundreds with a swing of his sword. Nothing short of a god infused Horus should be able to touch him, so stats in a game based on D6s will be woefully inadequate.
I hope they sneak some of this stuff into the burning of prospero boardgame, particularly the custodes dreadnought, bolter custodes.
I'd love an excuse to use any of this stuff in a game, but 30k/40k is a step or two too far into the complex zone for me. I guess I just prefer boardgames over the larger scale 30k stuff.

Space marines always have access to power armor considering they repair armor all the time. Some books have them put the armor on overtop of the bionic.

You could play small battles / kill team is you are afraid of all the rules. Like 750 pts.
I know it's weird godardc, but keep in mind FW are pretty damn good with rules.
The balance in 30k is far better than GW's other games.
Considering we can have warlords stomping around, the emperor isn't much compared lol.
Primarchs are toned down from their fluff to make them good, but playable.
In regards to inferno, I'm just happy I finally have a playable army.
Went mad buying custodes and (I now know) I own a 5k army.
While it's impulse buying, I love the models.
So finally having rules to them is great.
Am keen on the spear dread though, strength D dreadnought is too good to pass up.
Worst part for me is the big sisters whale/submarine.
Not a fan of it but don't plan on using it anyway.
Alot of great looking stuff from forge world this weekender! Did anyone get scans of the new secutarii rules? Super interested in how they work/add to the existing army!
I don't see any thing that looks like that crazy Vulkite Dune Crawler in the table of contents. (I don't get why it has such a clean look accept for the wired footplate/autocannon things int he front.

They're full kits.

The heavy dread isn't that big; the one it's next to is Contemptor size, so it's probably about Leviathan sized, or a little bigger.

The sword design is less of an issue compared to them holding them backwards.
Would be awesome if someone could ask if we will get the achean Terminator armour shown in the book for the honor guard of the 1k sons as upgrade or so for normal tartaros armour!

I was quite sure that the outward curved part of the Kopesh would be to strike the opponent with..
EDIT: You know, like a saber is used.

looks different then the the termi armour the sekhmet uses. Would be nice if anyone could clear that up for me
The bottom corner one is from the Contemptor.
it clearly says tartaros pattern tactical dread armour (terminator armour) Achean pattern. Its a cut out of the other picture.
And as it is quite prominent it would be interessting if we'll get an upgrade or so. So if anyone could ask tomorrow would be cool!
Yeah, but it's the one from the Contemptor. Maybe tactical Dreadnought is a mistake and it should be Dreadnought, who knows, although actually the writing does specifically mention terminator armour so it won't be that.
The picture is from the Contemptor too, all the detail around the helmet is the same as the Contemptor model.
