biccat wrote:So is the Nether now available on the dakka server?
yes.
at anyone in brandywine, I started to build a portal when I got disconnected yesterday night.
you just need to add wooden lining and light the obsidian.
Near the sanc on the road to the pagoda there is a cobble and wood house called "ljthefreakingod house", despite evidently being made by a new player it has full diamond tools, nearly full iron tools, 25 iron ingots, 19 diamond, 18 gold and some of each rail as well as other resources.

Okay, now I need thirty iron blocks isntead of twenty, because I died and then the server restarted and now I'm missing everytrhing in my inventory. Thankfully the only nonreplaceable stuff was the iron, though I still need a block of gold from before.
That's a rather nasty tally of lost stuff due to restarts, character resets, etc, lol...
nether glitches (might just be this server):
some tools instantly break when you use them- I lost a diamond pick, my flint and steel, and 4 stone picks (even with high durability);
zombie pigmen, when hurt by ghasts, attack the nearest player;
if you take damage in the nether, and then go back to the real world, the damage goes away until you venture in again (though it doesn't display on your health bar).
shrike wrote:nether glitches (might just be this server):

Yeah, the zombie pigmen have a tendency to lash out and swear vengeance on anyone stepping within their territory.
I'm sure Mojang and Notch can work on these problems. If they aren't already perfecting 6.5.
Thats good, I was getting the 'Connection Timed Out' message when I tried. I just need legoburner to accept me in before I can start commuting with you guys. I am glad you have a stricter entering system, it's great against anyone we don't know or trust. Of course, you guys will still need to get to know me, but i'm a nice person really.
Yeah the strict entering system doesn't really work too well We don't tend to turn many people away and end up banning griefers rather than preventing them from joining.
It does lead to some epic scenes though, the mourning in the rain by wolfs ruined boat was an especially powerful moment.
Someone has taken both of my gold music disks (or they've just randomly disappeared) but oddly left my full double chest untouched.
They also managed to bypass my security (that makes regular entry impossible when i'm offline unless they found the secret entrance (in case my house is entered when i'm outside and the doors are locked by the intruder), but it'd require them knowing exactly where to look.
It's more likely they just broke right in, but whatever was damaged (if anything) has been perfectly replaced.
Hey all long time reader kind of a lurker i guess was wondering what i could do to get a invite into the world you all are working on, and for what its worth i'm not one of those goober griefers, just wanna join up and stake a claim onto what sounds like a sweet community.
DAMN! After the server crashed I lost 75 gold ingots… That is in addition to the 5 diamonds last week… i was just about to use the gold to make blocks for my project too :(
It's hosted on the server that handles Dakka when the main Dakka server is busy or down or something, as I understand it. So when the main server is busy, the backup one picks up the slack, at the expense of the minecraft server. At least that's how I've seen it explained.
BoyMac wrote:The multi-player on minecraft isn't complete so that is one of the problems...
Correction: multiplayer Minecraft IS the issue. It has catastrophic memory leaks that eventually cause the host to crash. Dakka's backup server is actually more powerful than the server we have the site running on, and is not part of the problem. The only issue is Minecraft's MP code.
snikkrot wrote:Is it ok to ask who the admins are or who can do the allow for new players? malchnor is my name for minecraft if that is what you would need.
There´s a Sticky on the top of the Video Game forum. Post your Minecraft name there and you MIGHT be whitelisted.
But you´ll most likely need someone to vouch for you, since there have been problems with people joining Dakka only to play on and grieve the Minecraft server in the past. In the end it´s up to legoburner though.
the scarecrow wrote:hey all, i have a question about the server, can somebody please tell me where i can, and cannot build?
Scarecrow/Typhon
as long as it isn't a huge monstrosity, or near another's house/area then you're okay
It's recommended not to build near dakkatown seeing as it's rather overcrowded.
I would offer you a place in my brandywine hall but it's reached it's limit I set for it.
we have:
corpsesarefun
haloreach4ever
melissia
shrike
laodamia
Iustis
doctadeath
N_Ellingworth
mondo80
and one more saved for diddleshot when he gets on.
I ventured way out past everyone else (past the public beach house)
As long as you don't mess with my island (pretty small, covered in torches) you've got free reign to build whatever you want on the multitude of islands in the area.
Note that this is completely opposite the location of Brandywine, so it might be a long hike.
Great, I finally find lava near where I am and a server crash has nuked my 4 buckets (just the buckets mind, nothing else -.-).
EDIT: Also, someone will have to help me with my Nether portal, as currently the portal in my house leads to the Brandywine portal in the Nether, which then leads to Brandywine Hall overground; I need to build a portal in the Nether (going to use the redstone to obsidian farming method because it's easier) but I need someone to help me calculate the distances, because i've tried and i'm hopeless
Okay, i'm on. Thanks legoburner, or Yakface. You can trust me. Shrike, I will meet up with you once you're on. For now I shall wait, so you can give me a tour of the.. Facilities.
Some douchebag replaced my two diamond blocks with iron ore and stole the third one from my chest.
So to total it up, I'm basically missing five gold blocks, three diamond blocks, and thirty iron blocks due to theft, server crashes, and SMP bugs. Yay me.
I hope to catch one of the admins on sometime soon....

just found out that someone has nicked my gold CD that cheesus gave me and the green CD that i spent and hour getting a skele to kill a creeper not happy! lego if you have a spare moment would you be possible able to replace them for me when were both on server please
in other news, a blast the size of two tnt blocks went off in wolfs cabin causing this.
Also, trying to use a bed in the nether does no damage but explodes destroying all blocks in a pretty big radius, it is more powerful than either tnt or creepers.
I dropped into lava and died, losing a diamond pick and a full set of iron armor in the process. So the nether public tree farm is on pause until I decide to give a damn again . But the project is started, for anyone who wants to complete it. You just need a pick, dirt, light of some sort (either glowstone or torches) and oak saplings to do it.
Well, i'm not really going to build in comfort until I know the one who did this is gone.

Everyone that wants to use multiplayer should avoid downloading the update until Lego updates the server.
If that doesn't fix weapon disintegration I will cry. I've already lost countless stone tools, 3 flint and steels, an iron sword and a diamond pick and thanks to the server crash I lost 2 diamonds, 20 iron, a pair of gold socks and 2 buckets.
EDIT: I'm off to dreary cornwall for the week, so don't expect me on until then.
diddleshot, my instructions to you are to build a road to the brandywine/sanc portals. I think I managed to find a way neaby, which has a small cobble road one block above lava level heading out to it before I got knocked in by a ghast shot. It's heading for the cobble road we built earlier.
wow that sounds wierd.
I is the road we built around 20 blocks up. - is the road I built one block up. L is land. P is the portal leading to my house. S is the sanctuary/brandywine complex. _ is blank space (ignore)
Framerate cap can now be changed, with toggles of 40 FPS, 90 FPS and 200 FPS.
Improvements for slow and old computers.
Shift-clicking an item in the crafting window now only moves the crafted item into the player's inventory.
Bug Fixes:
Dropped equipment no longer breaks on the first use, but used equipment will break on the first use with the new update.
Objects will now be pushed out if they are within a block.
Lighting acts normal again when placing/removing torches.
The game no longer crashes when shift-clicking to put items in a chest that is already full and vice versa.
Fixed CPU issue on multiplayer.
Saving while crouched no longer consistently teleports the player into blocks above or below when loading the save.
Exiting a Minecart or moving from one Minecart to another will no longer bump the original Minecart and make it move.
Fixed the achievements window rendering some graphics outside the clip window.
Fixed the players health appearing to be full when entering/exiting the nether.
New Bugs:
After you die and pick up your equipment and use it the item disappears (big fail)
Memory leaks.
Multiple portals aren't working correctly in SMP.
Sometimes you cannot pick up items dropped onto cobblestone.
Framerate limit can not be removed, but setting Framerate limit at 90 or 200 FPS allows FPS to exceed this.
Setting Framerate Limit to 40 FPS may increase CPU usage on some computers.
It is no longer possible to use up all crafting materials at once by shift-clicking.
After you teleport to the nether, you will experience the swirl screen as if you were heading back as soon as you arrived. This won't teleport you though, but the animation won't stop until you move.
Sometimes when trying to lie down on the bed, it fails and removes one half of the heart in MP.
Shadows sometimes do not update.
Sometimes blocks and items respawn in SMP, but you don't get anything from them anymore, you get lots of lag on reconnect.
Difficulty may revert to "Easy" when you load a save, at least when you had it previously on "Peaceful."
Wolves get hurt while standing on furnaces and can't move while on them.
Sometimes objects clone after death (On the video porkshops aren't cloned, they are just picked up and didn't disappear. In fact, they have been cloned only once - after death).
Tools that have been used, dropped, then picked up, and thus display a health bar, will break when used not only when used properly but also if used to activate a lever or other such device.
Respawn after death results in being stuck until breaking block below. Does not occur at all spawn points.
If you switch from windowed to fullscreen when in a map, the mouse movement will be limited by the screen borders. This can be fixed by switching into your inventory.
Beds no longer work in SMP.
Setting view-distance=3 in server.properties causes part of the map to revert.
Sometimes when entering the World from the Nether, the sky will remain red. Only in SMP.
fire sometimes can catch wood on fire even if a solid non-flammable block stands between it and the fire
If a single slab is placed upon an entity, the entity will remain within the slab. If the slab is then turned into a double slab, the entity will appear to launch out of the top and then land, but will not be collectible.
Minecarts stopped on E/W powered rail will not bounce off one another, but they will on N/S powered rail.
On unlit powered rail as part of a track which terminates at a solid block to the North or to the East, a minecart can be shoved off of the track directly into the block, by a player or by another minecart, as shown in this minecart station.
I really can't see why he chose to release it now. The bugs that were fixed weren't all that major (apart from the tool breaking bug) and it seems to have done far more damage than good.
Hopefully he'll manage to patch it all up quickly, but it might mean going a day or 2 without SMP.

web2.dakkadakka.com:25566 & web2.dakkadakka.com both seem to be down. Don't worry though, I can be patient.
I know it takes allot of work and time to get these to run how you want them, especially with the bugs, connection, and Coding problems
we are having right now. Actually having a server to play on is all that's important right now. Notch!!
I managed to get on the original server and play, I have just disconnected, and there was no crash at all, it seemed fine.
I was working on Supports for the Railway network we've got going around the area, having supports makes it look so much nicer;
without them it's like having cut trees with the tops still there.
corpsesarefun wrote:I could get on the 2nd one however i couldn't place or destroy any blocks after about a minute of playing.
The new map is awesome though.
You cant place/destroy near the spawn point but you can once you get away from it. The trees reach 128 height in some places, it is quite crazy and will make a good hollowed out cave complex, but fwiw, I dont plan long term support of this world for now, just keeping it as an alternative if the main server goes down.
Just keeping up to date on an iPhone.
So the server's still down? I would have much rather waited and not have the server die.
Lego, maybe after the original server's up we can use the replacement one for a kind of survival island thing?

Nope, they are both up. I've been working on the railway supports for a while, and it's not crashed at all.
Well, i'm having conflicting answers, and seeing as my phone takes 5 minutes to navigate each page i can't be bothered to find out. when the server gets back to it's normal self, i am requesting that we use the temporary server as some specialised one, maybe a large battlefield or a survival island.

Notch's twitter is looking positive, apparently the beds are working a lot better in SMP (or will be when the update is released, they're working fine in his testing) so that solves one of the myriad problems around.
Does anyone want to start a project to build something cool with me? I am tired of all the mindless mining I have been doing for the last week - I want to build something. Any ideas are welcome.
Mondo, my friend went on my minecraft and accidently broke a single glass, somewhere in one of your houses, but I fixed it with dirt. Whichever house the nether lead to. Sorry about that
so it seems the server's crumbling without me so 1.6 is slowly killing the server, being made worse by 1.6_5.
boymac, I'll help with the 'coaster when I get back home from cornwall and finish my path to the nether. I have around 2 stacks of rails.
where were you thinking of making it? I was thinking opposite brandywine (other side of the road) or in the hills nearby.
It's a nice area, not going to get in the way of other projects, near several homes and scenic.
anyway, I made a portal in my hideaway house (shh!), and in the nether I think it was around 50, 50 (diddle can probably give exact co-ords), but it's rather high-up and I was building a road to it when my holiday hit, so anyone carrying on that road to the brandywine portal complex will have my thanks.
corpsesarefun wrote:You made a portal that didn't just link to existing portals?
Lucky sod.
It's around 1800x, so it wouldn't connect to any.
I also made a portal in the aquarium (a room off the tunnel to gooda's, not 30 blocks away from the hall), that at first linked to the sanc, but by happy coincidence the co-ords that we had to make the portal in the nether was slam bang in the middle of mordor, so now the portal to gooda's is inside mordor.

Yeaaah! Make it near brandywine! That would be great.

It will take a while to mine all the Iron and gold etc, but the Railway base and supports is complete; any extensions I can take care of as long as I have a good

I accidentally had some water spill from my castle, down a hill, and into the valley of death some 50 blocks away, when an admin is on i'll fix it with a diamond pick and some lava blocks or something.

* Fixed beds not working very well at all in SMP
* Fixed destroying a boat spawning the player too low, causing them to sometimes fall through the ground
* Boats float up to the surface quicker

What do you mean what are cloth blocks? You've used them yourself. That red wool carpet.
The new bonemeal use is to create tall grass or flowers in grass blocks. So basically you can farm flowers now.

You can get wool blocks directly from sheep or make it out of string (although I have no idea why someone would waste string to get blocks). The update changes the requirement from 9 string to 4.

well, it'll probably take around 4 stacks of iron to make.
I might speed up the process seeing as I have three stacks of rails, but seeing as portal jumping is a lot quicker I'd prefer to donate it towards a brandywine-side roller coaster.

Not in SMP at least.
It LOOKS like you can make it out of four string, but it doesnt' let you. But it DOES let you make wool blocks out of nine string, despite it not looking like it does.
Eh. It happens. Just work on replacing the lost iron, logs, and bonemeal (sorry, I meant it as a stack of bonemeal, not bones in chat) that I mentioned to you.
Should be ~34 ingots (full set of iron armor, two picks, compass), two stacks of logs, and a stack of bonemeal.

I am going through an important period of exams right now, but after friday, I should have some more time to play MC. But I want the railway to cover all the distance between my new house (still in construction, not far from wolf's house) and brandywine. I could really use a railway between those two locations. Traveling on foot between brandywine and wolf's takes ages!
Besides, there's plenty of mountains, you just need to travel a bit away. I have a huge mountain that's practically an ant's nest of natural caves and tunnels, myself. Walled off too.

In just under an hour, I've built a pirate ship outside bag end.
using over 300 logs, 100 planks and containing a captain's quarters, larder, cargo bay and captive area, this ship is rather large.

the rooms aren't done yet, and neither's the sail, but the main thing is.
The nether's public tree farm is open. Needs more saplings, but it's open, and it works, so if you want a wooden interior (please don't waste wood on an exterior in the nether ) there's your source.

I would love to set aside a large area for a group project of some sort
actually, im going to do my castle as one, let me get the framework down and i'll post up details later this week
//edit, ive begun construction of framework HERE: at 190 66 -131
all are encouraged to help!
Nice, guys, i'm back. I was just playing some Mass Effect, which has caught me off Minecraft for about a day
or two, but I am now back and ready to continue work on the Railway, Nether, Brandywine Blacksmith etc.
Nice projects going on, and that video.. Yeah, unemployment has it's perks. Just joking, that would be pretty amazing to build.
Goliath wrote:why not do what corpses said and then ask a mod to just magic the items back into your inventory?
Because either way i'd be waiting, since i'm currently carrying everything I need for my nether home and it'd take me more time than I willing to spend to gather it all again.
Wolf wrote:Grundz I may help you with your project here if help is needed of course.
sure
its going to be about twice as tall, the towers slightly taller, the landing I made today will be mostly for offshoot buildings to attach to, tomorrow im going to start detailing things.
Would have done it today but the fountain was such a pain in the ass.
There is a supply closet in the hillside for storage and beds and such, I need more wood, cobblestone supplies seem OK
Wolf wrote:Grundz I may help you with your project here if help is needed of course.
YES! I've missed working with your mild insanity, wolf. 0

wow that's gone up quick, seeing as yesterday evening it was just around 2 block high

Guys, we need this.
YES.
Automatically Appended Next Post: okay chaps I'm off the server until tomorrow evening- heading home, and the place I'm staying at halfway has no wi-fi.
grundz one suggestion:
there was one the yogscast did which was better, but that didn't say how to build it. make it on a lever from both sides, and have a lava moat.
Here's a better one with a password needed to operate the bridge.
CaptainSparklez did it first. I'd suggest subscribing to him, he does lots of great minecraft videos and some terraria (if you're into that kind of thing).
shrike wrote:wow that's gone up quick, seeing as yesterday evening it was just around 2 block high
the frame I made yesterday was smaller and in the way of the road so I moved it to an area where people can keep expanding or building surrounding buildings rather than where it is limited
Also if you help, please no stripmining anywhere near the site, make a 1 block ladder shaft significantly deep, somewhere far away or off of the supply closet instead.
Automatically Appended Next Post: day 2
I need help with the lava trenches, the towers are ready for people to start building inside them and people are starting to build outwards too
Thanks to dark, the area now has a portal labeled "grundz" near dark's portal past the flaming skull
There's a little problem with your ship's sail (in Brandy).
Basically, a creeper was hiding there, so when I climbed the ladder leading to the mine, it jumped on me and exploded. And most of your sail disappeared with it.
I was repairing the wall and the ladder leading to the mine when I lost connection. I can't login anymore, my internet is too slow. So I can't gather the wool from your sail, these blocks are probably lost now.
tower of war is now GONE! now commencing building of roads and sewer system for grundz castle
Automatically Appended Next Post: started making road and sewer system for dakka town project XD when its done its gonna be epic, at certain points in road there wil be a trap door and a ladder leading down into sewer with enough room for boats and will be all under the roads XD
Well Lego is in the UK, and since he has a kid he'll be getting as much sleep as possible, so he won't see anything until at least a few hours from now.
Someone griefed mels house, burning down the tree's and wooden house on her floating island, breaking the portal, smashing some blocks of the castle, placing a sign with a phallus on it, stealing many items and summoning the great one cthulu.
Well, I just found that he'd looted my goods and taken everything of value as well, plus some of my furniture. I am on mel's side this time because the stuff he took is irreplacable.
Plus I do have a time stamp for this event, it has taken place over the last 12 hours.

That sounds like some serious griefing so its probably best if we reset the server. Hopefully we can figure out who it was within that 12 hour window.
I would highly suggest you stop working on anything until we decide whether or not the server is going to be rolled back.

It's PrivateCrowbar (a.k.a Cybronx). He seems intent on... something, and has threatened to continue this charade of pathetic childishness with proxies.
EDIT: Also, I don't know if the proper authorities have the ability to sift through proxies and find the real server, but if they do then someone in the USA (most likely location) needs to alert them using PCrowbar's and Cybronx's proxied IPs. He seems to be harassing Mel and I fear that he's off his rocker.
Thanks for the worldedit hint. Might use in the future, but at the moment I am travelling so dont have the resources to download the whole world to fix it right now.
The world has been reverted about 30 hours from now unfortunately. Lots of stuff lost, but it happens from time to time and at least we have the backups. Sorry about the big projects to all who were affected, will hand out some freebie diamonds and things as a reward for patience as and when you see me on the server over the next few days.
Yeah, I lost a huge amount of work that day, while working on the railway and it's connection to the North facing route. Seeing an hour and a bit of digging tunnels, placing cobblestone, placing more cobblestone for the supports and then tidying the thing up afterwards, all of that gone, can be really degrading if you see it from my point of view. So Legoburner, I recommend that you download WorldEdit, once you have the resources and time, so that you can manage griefing incidents effectively and without harming the work that other users have put into their projects.
Here's a better one with a password needed to operate the bridge.

Yeah, he keeps popping up in my recommended section.

Nah, I won't. Whenever you see a monster spawn in brandywine, light up the area. That's all you can do.

it is a sad day in minecraftia as grundz castle is as little as an outline of a tower the sewer system and road is no longer there but i shall be looking at screenshots to see if i can rebuild XD
I really don't need diamonds. All I want is about 12 stacks of logs, 2 stacks of glass, 3 stacks of stairs (Stone) and 2 stacks of Cobblestone to re-make the house that was lost during the revert.
You know full well that the only materials I really use are cobble, various forms of wood, coal and iron. Anything else is stuff stuff taking up space in chests so I'm happy to give stuff away to people who really need it.
Take without permission though and I will fill your houses with cobble.
for dakka town im aiming for our own style of mistral city like city but not with identical houses and if any of you have played fable 2 bowerstone market style town but of course minecraft style XD its hard to explain
Battle Brother Lucifer wrote:I just need moar glowstone, but I can mine it for myself, that is if you guys left any for me *grumbles about all your projects in the nether*
Oh, there's plenty. But it's hard to mine for obvious reasons.
Just be thankful-- when you destroy a glowstone block, you get glowstone just like you would get from breaking a lapis lazuli ore or redstone ore. And it only takes four to get the glowstone block back.
James, dont attach non-wargaming pics to dakka. It fills up the server with unrelated images.
As for special replacements, I'll probably not be around much for a while, the diamond offer was just because I can use a script to spawn them on people throughout the day. Remember, minecraft is a distraction for me from dakka, so any time I spend on it is time not spent improving dakka itself, so I'm not that willing to dip into anything other than quick rollbacks of the server most of the time. Grouchy sounding I know, but I dont have much interest in spending my time on it. Worst case I could always op someone if you vote someone up amongst yourself.
corpsesarefun wrote:Server presidency (player with op powers) sounds cool, perhaps we should hold a vote now?
Agreed I second this motion, it will be good to have a player from US and the UK who are highly trust worthy, so we should haev a presence on in all time zones.
I nominate Shrike, as he is on frequently-- although I wouldn't vote for him myself, I think he should be considered. I accept my own nomination, with the note that if I'm not on I'm usually on Steam, and can try to be on Steam more, so I can be PMed and asked about this kind of thing.
I'd vote for myself, but if I can't do that, I'd go for Wolf out of those nominated thus far.
Nominations are optional and nonbinding, you don't have to vote for who you nominate.
The voting will be done in private through PM's either to lego or me if he is too busy to organise it, if it does come down to me to organise it I will be unable to be voted for or nominated.
It is still a little before peak time for most of the US posters so I would give it time before the US nominations come rolling in.
Hey Mel, I was thinking that the Americans could just form sort of a "Gang", so to speak. Since I am on late at night, BBL is on early in the morning, and you are on all day, what do you say we all share a ticket?
"Vote Team America, because they are the only ones running!"
I would like to reiterate the redundancy of a special america mod if we have two active and one semi active american players if all play at times that regularly overlap with european players.
sorry, I'm tired and fail to make sense of your post. are you saying we should have just one OP, or one in america and one in europe as planned, or multiple semi-OPs for america?
shrike wrote:sorry, I'm tired and fail to make sense of your post. are you saying we should have just one OP, or one in america and one in europe as planned, or multiple semi-OPs for america?
One op, the playerbase in america is not large enough to warrent a seperate mod IMO.

I have just been on the server for the first time, and it looks really good.
However, Who's are the tunnles that run under my house?
It is just down the road from Melissa's house and on a hill.
I'm just asking as I almost fell into them as I was mining for resources.
I have walked along it to just past the end of the rail but it seems to go one for ever!
that woul be the road out of dakkatown.
It goes all the way to wolf's cabin at 1200x -750 z, and passes the stronghold, brandywine, vinnie's, boymac's and my houses.
I would absolutely love to be on more often as I am reaching the interesting part of my giant tree, but the latency for me is really crazy whenever I try.
Pretty sure it is just a random issue and will resolve itself on its own though, and to whoever accidentally creeper'd some of my wall, thanks for leaving the note Its all repaired now.
1. explore a bit, some of the buildings are pretty cool and will give you some inspiration, there is a portal to nether in the sancuary at 0,0,0 and portals in most attraction locations.
2. walk along the railway until you see an unclaimed area, go build on it!
3. there are a couple group projects (brandywine, dakka town) you could get permission to help with.
Well I can't currently get on, so I dunno if the server's down or it's just my internet playing up (both are equally as likely, and probably occurring simultaneously), but usually people start to come on around late afternoon/early evening.
As long as Melissa and such, nominated people are okay with requests for items and having to perform countless tasks for the community; they should be okay.
I for one, am not too keen on the idea of being an Administrator/OP due to this fact, and I prefer just to help out the community.

Just be sure to vote! YOUR SERVER NEEDS YOU!
Automatically Appended Next Post: this is glitchy.
grundz, watch out.
the lava seems to be conducting through cobble to set fire to wood.
a plank on the BATTLEMENTS caught fire, for feth's sake.
That happened on my single player game. Lava set fire to most of the wood floors in my 4 story castle, while it was at leased 2 blocks away from anything flamable.
Just cause you ask me for something doesn't mean I'd give it to you. It has to be something irreparably lost rather than a renewable resource, such as metal ores/ingots/blocks, lapis, etc. Given the abundance of lava, I consider obsidian a renewable resource-- you're gonna have to work to make your obsidian places. You can also always get more wood, and cobble isn't lacking. Red and yellow dye are both farmable now as well, meaning red, yellow, white, and green are renewable resources. Black is as well, but it's a bit harder to find, so I might be convinced there.
But aside from that, I plan on being a bit generous. Sometimes, server glitches happen, the server crashes and goes back to an old map save but keeps the current inventory save, etc, and things disappear or you die and the server restarts or some other malarkey. Not gonna give things away for free except as special events, but if you lose something irreplaceable, I'm willing to work with ya.
for my part...
I'll give pretty much what mel said, but all the renewable sources I will provide if you had it in a large amount.
I consider obsidian to be pretty annoying to get, so if you lose that I'll provide.
I will also spearhead the quest to the farlands, which will probably happen during the summer holidays.
The quest into the farlands
I could record it and we could have a skype group chat that I could record aswell
and I could upload it to my youtube channel
I don't have skype yet but if you have the free version can you do group chats?
Any one have any Ideas or objections?
