Have you tried mirroring the prints for the Jawas to get a little more diversity? It's something I try when I make a unit or multiples of the same item

Thank you,

The lady, still needs tidying up and sorting out a bit but here is how she sits currently.
and under the nasty cold light of the flash...

Completely different tack here, but Christmas pressy making so ....
Son is into Gunpla, I very much like them and really fancy having a go, but first off, thought I would build him a display base. A hangar for some of his Gundam. This is something else building scifi in 1/144 scale, but here we are...
It was about halfway through and looking into figures that I came across actual model kits for this Still his is unique I guess.
One thing I feel I have lost a step or two here, normally this detail would be right up my street, but struggling like heck. I might go at it a bit more, but putting it aside for a mo. Next pressy is a 1/1 scale rifle from Destiny 2. I have no idea where to even bloody start!!. Well hope to be back soon. Got to sort my life out and prioritize a bit better.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
I really like the nod to classic scratch building here, seeing such materials as kablebinders and so on getting a use again!!! the scale is really something entirely else! but you already mastered (remastered ) it again!
as for the gun... I am really hyped to see you have a go at this... all depends on materials... there is a guy on youtube that does miracles with amazon packaging cardboard... you´ll find him really easy... I did a cadian lasrifle from plasticard one... when you have plans it will be something you can make quite easily... I´ve searched for plans back then but couldn´t find any... so i searched for Wikipedia pictures and did my layer designs myself... I bet there are plenty of destiny 2 designs already out there...
good luck with the constructions and also as ever good luck with health and spirit healing!!!
cheers, Vik!

Hello again.
Proof of life...
Squig rider...
And a bunch of different magic users...
And a random guitarist...
And some bloke walking along...
Thanks guys, yes my kids are into anime, manga, and just about anything scary. So they are reading it and watch and follow many different series. My son also collects the models and watches hours of youtube about the models themselves. The 1:1 gun got sidelined as ran out of time to do it before christmas. Did ok for xmas, got a venerable dread for space puppies and daughter got me some amazing 40k esque cars from wargames factory I think it is. Beautiful resin kits. Life is not necessarily good but not bad either. I want to be back here everyday posting again, modelling everyday. Time and folk won't let that happen at present it seems, but I will try again.
Thanks for stopping by.

@archer, just acrylics, matt floor varnish, water. In sealed container.
Been distracted by making a ramp for a pet.
I have made this ttcombat kit.
I enjoyed this kit. It was easy to build. I have gone vanilla with it as I wanted to see what it is straight out the box. I might now add some detailing to push it up a notch. Certainly I need to do a bit more. The paint job is adequate but I can do better. Also. If I do more of this I will paint it all before I build it . @ Gits, Pics to follow for the footprint.
That's a 1in grid, so about 5 in long and 2 in wide.
And against some 28mm models...
oing to have a go at scratching one up myself I think. So styrene scrap bin.
Pile of styrene...
Add some heat...
One chasis, vs existing model.
And lastly a quick side note, a 1/35 scale van I threw together, got a heap of these beauties to be slapping together. Different vehicles, all are just for the modelling and painting experience. Going to be a few diorama's put together.

Styrene- check.
Bits- check.
Paints- check.
What am I missing? The vision to see (at least some of) the scene before I start cutting and shaping material, that's what. Very nice piece and yeah- it'd be a perfect room entry for Space Hulk.
Rock on!

All these buildings are looking great!
And the destructible element you've integrated is the cherries on these cakes.
spotted your new uploads incoming and was pondering how you'll do the pointing.
is 'a tiny trowel' an option?
65595
Post by: Camkierhi
Indead I have several small trowels.
Due to the iconography and the fact it got packed up quick no final shots of that one.
Next project was a proxy land raider.
Up next will be some orks, got to have some fun for 5 minutes, get my motor flowing properly.

Your proxy landraider looks great Cam, I'm excited that you will be working on orks again, I've enjoyed your orks for many years.

I made a test ork. Well not much to it, but I miss the old flak armour look, orks are meant to have, so bit of GS, and lick of paint. One boy....

Thanks folks,
Got a few small distractions on the go. Some i cannot show. But this pair are good to show.. there's a guardsman for scale. These are approx 75mm, but actually I am going to count them as 28mm. Giantess and a bunny. Got to decide whether I want to repair the sword or not. Might just have the shard o the ground.
Thanks for looking in.
BTW The buildings I have been doing have been for a commission, at £20 each. I know guys, someone is getting a bit of a bargain.

Some odds to clear my head...
So the marine was interesting, wanted to do that pose, you know " out of ammo on big gun, so down to pistol with two hands, looking tough!"
The buggy things I'll do something toward the Tyranid hoard. And everyone needs more frogs.
Thanks for looking in.

So much to go back through! I looked at page 167 foward to catch up on the "right now". I have a lot of reading to do back to Oct '21.
You are a machine. By now I'm sure you could fill a small warehouse with the terrain you've built over the years. Your speed is matched only by your skill, and you do amazing things with material other people would not even notice. Ive said it before and it remains true to this day- you truly have my respect and admiration as a hobbyist and also as a man that can manage this passion and still be a positive part of his family.
Looking forward to catching up, and also to whatever you do next.
