Welcome to The World XEater’s “Blog for the Blood God” This Is my first ever Hobby Blog, I have created it to be a mix of a few things
1. To showcase my World Eaters Chaos Space Marines and Khorne Daemons Warhammer 40,00 collection
2. Show some of my WIP’s, conversions, Painting styles etc.
3. List some various Army Lists, Tactics, General Rules Discussions
If any of this sounds interesting to you make sure you check my blog out, As my collection grows and time passes it should prove to be quite interesting!
I thought to myself how does one get a Blog on the roll? I thought the logical step, after introducing myself, would be to introduce my army! This is my complete collection, there are a couple of WIPs in this shot but as a whole I would say it is about 80% complete.
In total I have over 10,000 points of Chaos, mostly World Eaters Chaos Space Marines but I have recently added alot of Khorne Daemons thanks to the new allies rules in 6th ed. I am aware that this is not the best photo in the world (while they are on the shelf its quite difficult to take a photo) I will be doing individual shots of Lords, Units, Tanks, Daemons etc. as well as some shots of my lists (from 500pts all the way to 10,000pts) I will be doing some Video Battle Reports in the future primarily against my brothers Grey Knights so keep your eyes peeled! He has close to 16,000 points combined Guard and Grey Knights so once it is all painted we are going to have possibly the biggest Apocalypse Battle Report ever made!
Here is the most recent Addition to my collection. It is a Forge World Khorne Daemon Prince that I have done a little converting to turn into Skarbrand. I am still trying to decide what I want to do to represent Skarbrands freyed and severed wings, part of my just wants to put stumps / half wings on his back to represent how they were torn off, but at the same time a set of massive wings with tears and holes throughout would look awesome and make the model that much more intimidating... I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any ideas?
Here is Skarbrand
His two axes, Slaughter and Carnage, are actually modified Khorne icons from the bloodletter kit, I just added a little plasticard and some green stuff, a few spikes he is ready to smash face! here is a WIP shot of the axe:
Once his base and wings are complete I will be doing a Youtube Video with a full 360 degree rotation some other close ups, action shots and suitably violent music in the background. Im a really big fan of "some" of the release vidoes etc that GW do for their models. I Find it makes even slightly crappier models look freakin awesome and does a much better job of showing what the model actually looks like than still images ever could, so im gonna have a crack at doing something similar at some point.
Thanks for Reading!

MISSION:
The Relic
DEPLOYMENT: Hammer and Anvil
FIRST TURN WENT TO:
Grey Knights
SUMMARY:
Grey Knights finished holding the relic in the World Eaters deployment zone, Score at the end of the game was 9-3 for a Grey Knight Victory! World eaters were almost Tabled on turn 6 with only 1 Terminator and 2 Chosen left on the table. Abbadon was sucked into the warp buy Crowe's Heroic Sacrifice after a long combat where Crow was stuck in a challenge with a Chosen Champion. Dreadknights performed extremely well knocking out the two maulerfiends very early in the game. the Cultists were primarily killed by nearby vehicles that had exploded which was quite hilarious.
It was a great game where I learned that grey knights are just as intense in the shooting phase as they are in the assault phase... Cant wait till our next battle!
Here are some of my units, showcased with some of the terrain from the battle worn city my brother and I play the majority of our games on. Im still looking for names for our city / planet.... I find games are much much more fun when you have a story behind it, What is the planet called, why are the armies fighting etc... thats why I love that my brother has Grey Knights and Imperial Guard as they compliment my World Eaters and Khorne Daemons perfectly! as soon as he gets some painted I will put up some Video battle reports and dynamic action shots etc. for now here are some of my favourites:
Terminator Lord Tarugar and his Devourer bodyguard
Maulerfiends
Vindecator
Helbrutes / Dreadnoughts
Predators
Land Raiders
Hope you guys like em Next on my agenda is to put up some photos of my Daemons, Berzerkers, Defilers and the like, I also have some half finished cultists, heldrake, Rhinos, Terminators and more Daemons so check back regularly for updates!
Here are two of my favourite characters, My version of Skarbrand the Exiled One and my own special character Dreathor the Bloodsoaked. For dreathor i generally use the rules for a Chaos Space Marine Lord on a Juggernaut with the Axe of Blind Fury and I attach him to a large unit of Bloodcrushers for a Crazy fast and Crazy strong close combat deathstar. You may have seen my Skarbrand before but with a new camera and some new editing tricks i think these photos will show him off alot better! let me know what you thaink!
I have been doing alot of thinking about a background story for my World Eaters. I have the forge world Horus Heresy Angron model as a centerpiece for my infantry and would love to represent him on the battlefield but I was under the impression Angron had turned into a daemon prince after the heresy... now I don't read any black library stuff so all the background I know is what is printed in the codex/rulebook and what I can find on the Internet. To learn a little more about Angron I ran a google search and found that his last known sighting was during a battle on armageddon where a grey knights force destroyed his physical form and banished him to the warp where he could not escape for over 100 years..... with that last sighting in mind here is where my story kicks off........
After the great humiliation Angron suffered at the hands of the Grey Knights on the torn battlefields of armageddon he was banished to the warp as his physical form was destroyed, displeased with his champions failure the blood god Khorne stripped angron of his daemonhood and rejected him from the warp back into his original form, Angron, now fuelled by an impossibly intense hatred for the imperium, in particular the Grey Knights who destroyed him, now sets his sights on re-uniting his shattered legion so he can lead the largest blood crusade the universe has ever seen. Calling in all favours from his daemonic allies Angron plans to seek out and completely destroy the Grey Knights who stripped him of his immortality, please the lord of skulls with the promise of bloodshed and slaughter and in turn, regain his daemonhood and continue to wage eternal war on the imperium he despises.......
Here is another one of my Lords of the Blood crusade, I went through a phase recently where i was absolutely loving Khorne lords, i had to have EVERY khorn lord GW had released plus convert up a few myself just because! this one was a simple fantasy lord with a backpak added on, nothing too special but he is still one of my favourites!
Thanks freytag! As soon as my bro finishes his grey knights we're going to have a 12000pts per side apocalypse battle report... that is going to be epic
Reaver is on the way. I'll do stage by stage construction and painting pics. I'll also chuck up a few more pics of various army lists I run with the actual list attached
Hey Guys, Thought it was time for an update! Here are some of my favourite specialist units, I'm sure you are all sick of looking at my Khorne lords lol, These are my converted Obliterators and Chaos bikes with Mark of khorne (henceforth known as the Bikezerkers or Berzikers) The obliterators were actually converted by my brother for his Nurgle CSM but he sold his army for grey knights so I picked these guys up. slight re modeling to remove the tentiacles and puss and bobs your uncle we have khornate obliterators! as for the Bikezerkers they are simple chaos bikes with berzerker helmets and ccws, i would have loved to give them all chainaxes but my bits box is quite limiting at the best of times. I think its time i stopped taking photos and got some painting done... i have a squad of cultists looking at me but i majorly cant be fethed! spending hours on a 5pt model is hard for me... for now enjoy the Berzikers and obliterators! and as always thankyou for reading!
Interesting take on Oblits with the daemonette parts. Loving the Berzikers I've done pretty much the same thing with mine. They're a great unit and have always performed well in games so far. I know exactly what you mean about the cultists. I'd mostly painted mine with washes.
Yeah I wasn't a huuuge fan of the daemonette faces, would have rathered bloodletters or even just human faces but its very low on my list of things to change. Berzikers with my Juggernaut lord is a very strong unit. Expensive but strong. ..
One of my more heavy conversions is my mini Brass Scorpions (counts as either a defiler or a soul grinder depending on if im using Daemons or marines) i love these guys, I made them way back when chaos 5th edition was brand new. they are some of my earlier work so the paint job is average but i still have a major soft spot for them. I have never been a huge fan of the defiler model, the torso just seems a bit off, and as for soul grinders well 1. they weren't around when i bought these guys and 2. im not a huge fan of how they are all the same in the face... if they came with some head options then maybe but as it stands they all look too similar... which is ok for things like maulerfiends and gak because they are daemonic constructs where as this actually has a daemon popping out of it... anyway enough of my ramblings here are my mini brass scorpions!
once again thanks for reading

Hey Guys,
Just thought i would trow up a bit of a different post from my usual.... this is discussing my current favorite army list and some of the accompanying tactics. Here is the list:

This list is designed to abuse double force organisation to max out on monsterous creatures, it has 3 bloodthirsters that swoop up as fast as possible to get all up in the opponents face shortly followed by skarbrand and the 2 running princes and 2 soul grinders. The bloodthirsters always attract a gakload of enemy attention allowing the second wave to arrive practically untouched and it takes all of the attention off of the bloodletters as well. its not exatly OP or WAAC but it is fluffy as hell and really fun to play!
newest unit I have added to my army is...... my partners cat! Wolfgang Titan - Fluffypants Class! lol I was halfway through painting my Heldrake when this fether decided to start chewing on my terrain! cheeky bugger!
Can't imagine that being much fun. :( I've just noticed the khorne and WE symbols on the back of your Maulerfiends was that grew stuff or plasticard? Either way it looks awesome

Having played a Daemon army in the last local tourney, I now know how hard this list is to face. I play tau, and I was lucky enough to ground 2 of the 3 DP before they got to me and use my suits to plasma them to death. But the Bloodthirster got into my line of FW, and let's just say that the phrase "a hot knife through butter" is an understatement.
The only thing I would be worried about would be holding objectives. Idk about your FLGS, but most of our tourneys focus heavily on objectives. Only having 4 small squads might come back to bite you if your opponent chooses to take the MC in the face and kill your troops instead. I've had to do it a couple times when I've realized that the only way I can win the game is to make sure my opponent loses.

I generally hold the bloodletters in reserve so my opponent has no choice but to fire at the monsterous creatures . Usually by the time the bloodletters arrive the big guys are weak enough the opponent ignores my troops in an attemot to finishe them off... combined with the portal glyph I usually still have 3 or so scoring units at the end of the game
Here are some of my infantry models, I have over 40 Khorne Berzerkers, these are the ones that are completed, I still have a couple of squads to go, some of the painting is a bit average as they were the first units I bought when I got back into 40k several years ago, I am generally just a tabletop ready style of painter except for my lords etc which I like to pay that extra attention to. For now here are my berzerkers! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE, BLOG FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
Just finished my first flash project in over 8 years! my flash skills are even worse than my painting skills so be gentle in the coments lol.
I was driving home the other night listening to an old Fear Factory album when i heard one of my oldschool favourite songs Hurt Conveyor, the gunfire sounds made by the drums and the laser like guitar painted this awesome image that I just had to translate somehow, so as soon as I got home I downloaded flash and started playing around! Here are the results!
The hardest part was actually uploading the damn file to youtube! I downloaded about 12 different file converters none of which worked, then I managed to download a bunch of other programs by accident! I should not be allowed to touch my computer... anyway in the end my partner came and fixed it all for me! she is my hero lol! so yeah this is my first of many flash animations! if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them as in the end I found this project to be very enjoyable!
I have been spending alot of time on the forums lately and seen some truly exceptional work being done with the new space marine centurions namely the work of Biohazard (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/750/399556.page) and Krautscientist (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/1020/432972.page), particularly in their conversion to be used as obliterators, this has inspired me to come up with my own attempt and see what i can come up with. Being short for cash at the moment i have started with producing some fluff for my unit and Photoshopping an image to get an idea of what my suits could look like.
Here is my fluff:
""Hurt Conveyor suits:
Tired of striking deals and paying the demands of the obliterator and mutilator cults, Lord Dreathor of the World Eaters tasked his warpsmiths with creating a set of suits that would make the obliterators look like the mutated discraces they have become. Their goal was simple, fuse the weapons, armour and daemonic warp entities without corrupting the host, allowing pilots to be 'replaced' should they disobey.
With this in mind the warpsmiths set out to create an exoskeletal suit that any power armored marine could pilot, the suits daemonic fusion would be localized to the weapons themselves and, using similar daemonic processes as the Lord of skulls daemon engines the weapons of the Hurt Conveyors would be fuelled by the blood of the victims slaughtered in the name of Khorne.
The true power these suits possess is housed within the fist mounted weapons, a small but potent warp generator allows the pilot to conjure various weapon configurations from the warp itself. There are two variations the suit can be optimised for, the first designed to mimic the firepower of the obliterators, can conjure any ranged weapon in the World Eaterd arsenal, anything from lascannons to flamers can be brought to bear, allowing the Hurt Conveyor complete tactical flexibility. The other variaton, the favorite among the World Eaters is optimised for close quaters fighting and can conjure a huge range of deadly weapons that can slice through man or machine with equal ease""
I am still working on it but so far that is what i have got.
Here is the picture i have in my head of how i want to convert mine:
Please forgive the horrible photoshop skills.... but yeah basically swap out the chest weapons and back pack for tanks of blood and swap the weapons for warp generated weapons that would be all glowey and shiz. i would magnetise of pin the weapons so i could put on CC weapons and run them as Mutilators or put on ranged weapons and run them as obliterators.
I plan on getting started as soon as i have some disposable income... which could be some time seeing as xmas is right around the corner... either way i would love to hear what do you guys think?
I like this, but I think it better not to involve such an important character as Angron in your storylines. Many people hate it for the fact that it is going to look silly when more Angron fluff comes out, and that makes the writer of the fluff seem kinda silly. Might want to fix that before your thread gets too big (A better camera might get you a bigger following) Anyway, I like your conversion work =)
You have some great stuff here for sure. I especially like the terrain (being a terrain guy myself) and I appreciate how very passionate you are about your project.
Some words to help your blog look better. You could try putting your fluff under spoilers
Spoiler:
because they keep your page shorter and puts the focus on your pictures. Sad 'fact' (I have no measurable data, just my observation) about fluff is most people that aren't loyal followers of your work look for pics and just pass over the fluff anyway. Putting things like fluff, rants, etc in a Spoiler keep your thread looking clean and more accessible for lurkers and sightseers
Another recommendation I'd offer is to view some tuts for photography. The camera you have might be sufficient and your background looks cool, but many of your pics are out of focus and / or too dark. Both are an easy fix with a bit of info how to do it.
Looking forward to seeing what you do next, there's a lot of cool WIP here.
Haha thanks for the advice. Im still quite new to dakka so im yetto play with things like sspoiler boxes etc. As for the camera... I read a big article about photographing minis and messed with aaaaal of my camera settings but my camera is too heavy for my damn tripod! I really should invest in a better set up but I can't justify spending money on anything else when there are so many beautiful models I NEED to buy lol.
Having followed Kraut and Bio for the better part of a year, I'm really glad that you found their blogs. I think that they will really help inspire you, and it's always great to see bloggers working together. They've been making me tempted to sign up with Khorne again... but my wallet always pulls me back to rationality.
As for the fluff, I think it's a good step. Fluff (for me) always brings the project together and adds significant depth. I would agree with Nemesor and recommend that you make your own lord to focus the fluff on (read some of Kraut's). Also, I would change the name of the suits. Perhaps something a bit more subtle my friend
I'm assuming that the LRs are dedicated transports for the termies. If that's the case, I'm pretty sure you have to at least start the termies in them. Idt you are allowed to deepstrike the unit and just put the LRs on the board.
Other than that, this list looks pretty solid. I'm a little worried about the number of troops you have, but I know that's common for typical chaos lists.
Dedicated transport means only the terminators can be deployed in the transport although they may elect not to... so I can deep strike them and then turn 1 the cultists jump in. My theory with the troops is try keep the cultists alive in the LR and use the rest of my army to eliminate tge opponents troops leveling the play field.
Unless I made a mistake and my opponent allowed it, you can have a Land Raider as a 'dedicated transport' w/ Terminators but they don't actually have to be in it. I've placed my command unit behind it while setting up and moved them into it on the first turn. I suppose if you have to have the Terminators in the LR you can have them disembark and have your Cultists hop in.
Hey guys, just wanted to re-share one of my recent works that I am paticularly proud of
It cannot be veiwed on YouTube due to copywrite nonsense. Turns out you cannot use any fecking music in the background of your videos anymore! Anyway it still works here so thats something
Nice work.
I thought that the vindicator summary end to your music video was the best touch.
Have you checked out krautscientists blog here on dakka. he and biohazard share a lot of the same ideas. Both amazing converters. Similar but different styles. Keep at it and keep up the good work.
Geez it has been a long time since I have been on Dakka! working in retail over xmas doesn't really leave much time for warhammer :( that being said I did get my hands on the new Be'Lakor Dataslate and holy crap I am excited to add him to my force!
BE'LAKOR
I started collecting Khorne soo long ago, It was well before 6th and well before I knew how limiting such a heavily themed army can be, as soon as 6th edition hit I started to realise how exciting psychic powers can be! but alas khorne doesn't swing that way... But now with the addition of Be'Lakor I can finally play with some powers without destroying my theme as Be'Lakor is unmarked! Here are my thoughts on Be'Lakor:
1. Psyker.
For me this is huge not only because I have never used one before but also because I feel it fills a gap and adds something new to my army that is definitely more than welcome... My main opponent runs Grey Knights and Imperial Guard, he has 4 Shadowswords and loves Taunting me with his destroyer weapons... we will see who is Laughing when Be'Lakor uses puppet master to make them all blow each other up! I also see huge benefits with Invisibility helping to conceal my FMCs and Hallucination will be fun to use on his grey knights... cant wait to watch a squad of purifiers tear themselves apart! not to mention Psychic Shriek helping to weaken any units Be'Lakor charges!
2. Eternal Warrior.
Again for me this is huge, as I said my main opponent runs grey knights so i have to deal with force weapons every single battle. I have always been afraid to charge his units because he only needs that 1 wound to say bye bye bloodthirster! well now Be'Lakor can show the grey knights that he is not afraid! I am confident that this will result in Be'lakor dominating many of the combats i find him in because without their force weapons the small units of grey knights I face will be severely outmatched
3. Fire Magnet.
I think one of the most likely situations / battlefield roles I will find Be'Lakor in is a fire magnet. When my opponent learns of how big a threat Be'Lakor is im sure he will focus fire, Ground him and then destroy him, this will however take a substantail commitment due to Be'Lakor being shrouded with a potentially Grimoired 2++ Here is hoping my opponent focus on him a lil too much allowing me other FMCs a clear path to wherever they need to go and allowing my Bloodletters to remain relatively unharmed.
HEAVY SUPPORT Daemon Prince
Daemon of Khorne
Daemonic Flight
Exalted Reward (usually Portalglyph)
Daemon Prince
Daemon of Khorne
Daemonic Flight
total 2000pts
BATTLEFIELD ROLES
Daemon Princes: These guys are for taking down enemy Vehicles, and non fearless troops, they pack enough punch to wipe out most vehicles with ease and have high enough initiative that they will cut must troops down in a sweeping advance
Be'Lakor: As above, mostly used to act as an extremely durable fire magnet, also uses puppet master to make anyone with destroyer weapons facepalm as they destroy their own units. Be'Lakor also makes a great Warlord hunter as there are not a great deal of Warlords that could defeat him in a challenge.
Bloodthirsters:
These are my swiss army Daemons, Pretty good at taking out just about everything they also serve as great distractions as they tend to have people hitting the panic button when they have 3 of these within charge range turn 2
Bloodletters / Portalglyph: This are the guys that actually win the game for me, Hold them in reserves so they are safe then deepstrike them onto the objectives, if there is some nice Terrain I will drop the portalglyph early to maximise the number of scoring units I can have on the table if not hang on till the last minute a drop it behind enemy lines for backfeild objectives and linebreaker.
CURRENT TACTICS
D-Weapons While the addition of Escalation has upset most people and many many armies have no way to handle D-Weapons and super heavies I am not actually that worried. For the first 3 or so turns my entire army is FMCs that cannot be targeted by most D-Weapons and Almost every unit in my army can strike at S10 in Combat so taking down a 9 hull point Baneblade is not too much to ask as I will strike its weaker Rear armor, I think the people who need to be worried are gunline armies.
Fear I love playing the Player vs Player battle almost as much as the Army vs Army battle, what I mean by this is things like scaring the opponent with the rapid moving FMCs, put them somewhere the opponent doesn't want them and watch the rest of their tactics take a back seat as they panic to destroy the immediate threat! this works better on people I have never versed before but it is still fun regardless.
Well that is about it for my thoughts on Be'Lakor, My new list and my general tactics! what do you guys think? what are some of your thoghts on Be'Lakor, Escalation, Super Heavies etc? if there are any other hevily themed khorne players out there I would love to see your lists / tactics!
At long last I have the parts to construct the fabled Reaver Titan! Xmas Prezzy from my brother, my family set a $50 limit as we are all strapped for cash but my brother decided to spend more than 10 times that and get me A FREAKING TITAN! lol I'm most certainly not complaining! kinda made the dice box and dice set I gave him look half arsed but hey...
Here is a pic of the Titan unboxed, I believe I may be missing a couple of parts on some of the weapons but I plan on changing its weapon loadout anyway. I will keep updating as I progress through its construction.... this one might take quite a while!
I'm planning on making it fully magnetised with multiple weapon options, removable casing to reveal interior, pivoting waist all that good gak! we will see if this can be achieved with a model this size, my brother recently built a loyalist titan but he used steel rods throughout to make it strong, he is not a huge fan of magnetised models... he claims its "wanky" we will see if I can make it work!
anyway I'm off to ebay to buy some weapons and magnets, stay tuned and thankyou for reading
I have come up with a little bit of fluff for my army. in particular its leader Davros. I would love to hear any feedback, be gentle on the spelling and grammar, im not so good at that stuff.
Davros, once one of khorne's most favoured and brutal warriors, ascended through the blood gods ranks more rapidly than the average Bloodthirster, infamous for his extreme devotion to hatred of all things, he was renowned for being equally dangerous to his allies as his adversaries. He bore two mighty battle axes, Verachten and Afkeer, each capable of cleaving a hole in the most fortified armour and decimating the most dense muscle and flesh, he stood taller and broader than even the largest bloodthirsters. He wore armor of burnished brass adorned in skulls, horns, spikes and symbols of the blood god. Under the armour his bright red skin seemed to almost glow with the blood that flowed within, unlike many of Khorne's Bloodthirsters Davros had no wings, Nobody truly knows what happened to them, some say Khorne cut them off as punishment for Davros's acts of extreme hatred towards his fellow Daemons, others say he hacked them off himself as he hated looking like the other followers of the blood god, either way it has not slowed his combat efficiency as the lack of wings makes him more agile and less clumsy when in battle giving him a major advantage when combating other Daemons or larger foes. Through his seemingly endless reign he rose to join Khorne's inner circle, a small group of warriors hand picked by Khorne for their unmatched examples of his influences, for Davros it was hatred. Unlike any among the legions of the blood god, Davros had been so utterly consumed by hatred that he began to hate the other traits and powers bestowed upon khorne's followers, he hated his bloodlust, he hated his sense of martial pride, and he hated his strength drawn from anger and rage, all that was left was a bitter hatred for everything he was, everything he was not and everything he might be... all that was left was a bitter hatred for all existence. It was this unrelenting hatred that lead Davros down his path to madness.
Sensing the opportunity to corrupt Davros, Tzeench, the lord of change showed davros a way in which he could satiate this impossible hatred. Through anonymous whispers Tzeench explained that opening a rift between the immaterium and reality is not like opening a door in the wall between universes, like Khorne had led Davros to believe, it was more like tearing down a section of that wall, tear down enough sections and the whole wall will collapse and all of reality will collapse with it, bringing the end of time and destroying existence itself. With this newfound purpose Davros set out to create as many rifts between the immaterium and reality as possible, his hatred growing stronger and stronger with every step. Growing in power Davros began commanding larger forces in his relentless quest to collapse existence itself.
Once khorne uncovered davros's plan he took swift action to prevent this ultimate destructon from taking place, as khorne knew, that Tzeench was right. If Davros was successful in opening enough rifts in space he could potentially cause the immaterium and the material universe to collapse in on one another causing an implosion that would engulf all of existence. It was with this in mind Khorne created a prison, an impossibly large and fortified prison within the realm of the blood god, this prison was called The Asylum and would become the home of those too angry, too enraged and too hatefull for Khorne to control, as those too extreme for the God of Bloodshed and War, must be contained. at the heart of The Asylum was a room, a room specifically designed to hold the most extreme of Khorne's prisoners, the original Asylum Inmate, Davros. Khorne banished Davros to spend eternity caged within the brass walls at the heart The Asylum the very day The Asylum was created.
Time passed and The Asylum grew, expanding outwards as more and more prisoners were gathered and caged, only to be unleashed upon the universe in the most extreme circumstances. While Khorne had believed he was creating the ultimate prison, for the most uncontrollably violent, brutal and bloodcrazed warriors within the legions of the blood god, he was in fact creating, the ultimate fortress. Little did Khorne know but Tzeench was not finished whispering to Davros, Tzeench showed Davros a way to escape his brazen cage, then unbeknown to Khorne, Davros began releasing the inmates one by one so long as they would join him on his quest to destroy all that exists, these caged inmates were some of Khorne's most powerfull warriors and some of the universes most feared creations... and now they were allied with a daemon who's sole intent is to collapse reality and end time itself.
Now Davros roams freely within The Asylum, his ultimate fortress, launching attacks anywhere he feels and tearing rifts throughout the universe seemingly at random. Constantly searching for new sources of energy to fuel his war efforts Davros has been known to strike any planet, regardless of how fortified, in his search for ancient relics and artefacts of power, anything he can use to weaken the wall between the immeterium and reality, each battle bringing him closer to his ultimate goal, the destruction of everything that he hates, the dustruction of existence itself.
I really like the fluff man. It's well developed and sounds great.
Having tried to write my own fluff, I appreciate the effort put into it. And the model, as always, looks great.
What are you thinking about doing for the base?
Thanks heaps! Personally I hate basing models, its always the thing I leave until last. that being said I would love to build a 2 stage base so I can slot his plain base into a large oval base built up with some rocks or something...
With the addition of my new Reaver Titan I thought it would be a good time to update my army list. I have wrote a new list that covers all 12000pts split up into independent 2000pt formations. the 6 formations are:
The Chosen - (My standard Chaos Space Marine Army)
The Berzerkers - (My leftover troops etc)
The Seige - (My leftover tanks etc)
The Titan - (My Titan + Defilers)
The Exalted - (My standard Chaos Daemons Army)
The Cavalry - (My leftover Deamons)
I have every model to make every list without needing to duplicate models at all, I could hypothetically run all 6 formations as one massive 12000pt army if I wanted (and if I could find a willing opponent)
Here is the Formation List Breakdown:
Once I have everything painted I will take an army shot of each formation and then my brother and I will be doing a battle report of 12000pts of Chaos VS 12000pts of Grey Knights / Guard... gaks going to be epic!
Hey Guys, I'm headed to a 1000pt tournament at my local GW store in a couple of weeks, here is the list I am thinking of running, It will be my first ever tournament so I'm not fully sure what to expect, I'm guessing at 1000pts most armies will have a hard time dealing with 3 FMCs, the plan is to have one prince drop a portal glyph, the other prince uses grimour on the bloodthirster then all 3 charge head on into the enemy line, the bloodletters are held in reserve where they will be safe until later in the game where they can take objectives and claim linebreaker. thoughts?
Thankyou tinfoil! I had been toying with soooo many different ideas for a portalglyph but then I got invited to a tournament where everything had tp be 100% complete so I panicked, pulled out the bits box and made this overnight. Im still thinkin of maybe making a new one with some cracked ground style shiz going on
Automatically Appended Next Post: In honor of my insatiable road RAGE I have been rewarded with the Mark Of Khorne! On my commodore wagon
Just had a 1200pt battle against my brothers Imperial knights. It was the fisrt game we have had using super heavies so it was quite interesting.

Chaos Space Marines
HQ Daemon Prince Mark of Khorne power armor wings axe of blind fury
TROOPS 10 Chaos Cultists
10 Chaos Cultists
ELITES 3 Chaos Terminators 2 Combi Meltas 1 Power Axe 1 Power Maul 1 Power Sword

ALLIED HQ
Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Servo Skulls
ALLIED HQ
Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Servo Skulls
1193pts
The battlefield
we played on a 4x4 cityfight board with ruins, craters and rubble.
The Mission / Deployment
we played the emperors will mission with dawn of war deployment
The outcome It was actually a surprisingly close game. The imperial knights got the first turn but due to the fact all I had deployed was 2 land raiders and my Daemon Prince he failed to destroy anything. then in my first turn my daemon prince charged and took down one of his knights. Turn two he charged a land raider and destroyed it, also took out my Daemon Prince giving him slay the warlord. My terminators failed to do any real damage with their meltas and were easily handled by his Ap1 large blasts and destroyer CC. The part that really shocked me was when my Heldrake destroyed the second knight with Vector strikes! Overall it was a very fun but scary game. Facing nothing but super heavies is very intimidating and I think most armies will struggle to take them down, the lascannons on my land raiders did sweet fuckall and so did the terminators.
The final score was:
Imperial Knights 4VPs (objective held 3VPs) (Slay the warlord 1VP)
My opponent debates that the "Through Attrition, Victory" score does not count as he has not taken the knights from the escalation rulebook and that they are NOT Lord of war units. My argument is that those rules cover ALL super heavies that are being played in standard 40k, including Imperial Knights. If anyone knows what is correct feel free to chime in
It was a great game and I look forward to more games against super heavies
I have yet to face knights, but I am very worried about taking them down. You did a good job on whittling them down. I hope I don't have to face more than 1 in the next tourney.
Just had another game with a very similar list vs my brothers 3 knights. I was tabled on turn 4 and only managed to inflict 4 hull points on one of his knights. Armies without lots of big guns will certainly have a gakky time vs Imperial Knights. I think they make great allies but as a primary detachment they are a bit too much
Just finished working on my own version of the Citadel Realm of Battle Game Board... Enter.... The Realm of Chaos!
It is modular in the exact same way as the GW board with a few tweaks and additions, it is 6 2x2 boards, 2 flat pieces and 4 pieces with hills in the corners, the hills can all join in any combination to make one big hill or several smaller hills. I decided against slopes as i find them infuriating when most models are not well balanced and tip over easily, that's why I went for a tiered hill style than means all ground is essentially flat. This board also totes modular Lava channels throughout. they all join up in the same way as the hills so you can have a hill surrounded by lava or have the lava lead off to the edges...
Next project is to build a joining piece so we can connect this board with my brothers cityfight, this way it will be like the last standing city in a planet being corrupted and converted by the forces of chaos!
Look forward to any feedback or comments! as always thacks for reading!
@RobZie, I am working on an agis defence line to go with my bastion that will work as neutral terrain on the battlefield for now but im thinking of making some wrecked vehicles with corpses all over... just need to find some cheep gakky tanks i can hack into
@Sennacherib, thanks heaps, the panels all line up perfectly except for a small gap when all hills are back to back, for some reason while the glue dried one of the vertical pieces decided to slope :( im currently thinking of ways i can fix it without pulling it apart.
@Dreadclaw69, Hmmm.. universal sign for "Blood For The Blood God" rip any passengers skull off and hold it out the window lol
As much as I have loved my time here on Dakka I have decided to move my blog over to Facebook as a page. this will make it much easier for me to update it on the go meaning more posts, more photos, more battle reports, more tactics and more Chaos in general! it will also make my blog more accessible to people who are not Dakka members and allow greater interactivity for my followers. I hope you will join me on facebook and continue to follow my blog, your contributions have been fundamental and very much appreciated.
Thankyou all and I look forward to this exciting new era for the "blog for the blood god"
Just a little fan made fluff for my new home planet The Asylum and what I like to call The Rage Factories!
"There are planets, daemon worlds that exist in they eye of terror where the material universe and the immeterium meet, these daemon worlds often once contained great cities that were once home to billions of lives, now their lanscapes are shaped by their damonic masters and are home to the wretched entities of the warp.
One such daemon world has just began the stage of its orbit that brings it to the outer edge of the eye, it is during this small window that the world is at its most vulnerable. This world is know as The Asylum by the followers of Khorne.
Its lanscape is a cracked and scorched wasteland, with chanels of red hot magma that litter its surface and pump energy through it like blood through veins. The Asylum contains many cities that have now been reduced to rubble and re-purposed into what is known as a Rage Factory, these Rage Factories serve a simple but intense purpose, to contain those too extreme for khorne to command, bound in chains are those of khorne's followers who have been driven beyond insane to the point where they are no longer an asset to khorne's legions but instead have become a liability. They do however still serve a purpose as the hatred and rage they generate at the idea of being confined and denied the satisfaction of the slaughter fuels khorne's power. Khorne uses this power to fuel his great forges that forge daemon engines, weapons and armor for the legions. Khorne has even used the power generated by these Rage Factories to create gifts for his World Eater followers.
The World Eaters know The Asylum has entered this vulnerable stage of its orbit and intel suggests they will gather warbands to defend it from any who dare attempt an assault. "
