I'm still not a fan of Stuart Witter's War Griffons color scheme, but I do like the fact that his has the eye lenses covered. Phil Stutchinskas' Warp Runners on the other hand is even more stunning close up.
Glad to see my size guesstimate was close (I'm gonna call my math teacher and thank him fer learnin me my ratios - they shur come in handy). The life-size printout I've got here at my desk at work (NERRD!) is right on the money!
That does it - I'm buying one. I'll hold out for the other weapon options and possibly a different head though. Always preferred the other head like on the AC Reaver.

So, the head and missile launcher just look stupid.
The waist down just looks cool, and the waist up (minus head & missile rack) are pretty nice.
I like the interior, too.
Personally, I like the paint job.
For $1000+, I expect it to be more than just big.
Does anyone else think the 2 miniscule purity seals on the shoulder look out of place? I hope they're optional & not molded in.

You should see the rules. Some comments on this travesty:
1. Something at least is cheap about the titan. 1250pts is way too low, the rumours of 1800pts were about right. Especially with the upgraded armament it is packing. Well if its a cheese purchase magnet idea I can sympathise, but kiddies cannot afford £550. Expect a glut of cardboard Reavers anytime soon.
2. As to be expected the titan armament is made to be as incompatible as possible with that on the Armorcast model. The things they do for spite eh.
3. This also makes the titan incompatible with all prior background material includuing the current and all prior versions of Epic and Adeptus Titanicus.
I hope these experimental rules dont survive into Vraks book 2.

IMHO this thing blows the Armorcast version away, much as the Warhound did. I used price as the reason not to purchase a Manta or a Thunderhawk -- but this model will get more use that either of those SH Flyers would...and I have this thing about Titans.
As soon as Priority Shipping actually means you get your models in two days, I'll be placing my order. I'm hearing they are only about a month behind on orders now.

I definitely prefer the Warp Runner colors, even though they're missing the flame motifs.
I've got plenty of $$ to throw their way, but the shoddy shipping and hit or miss casting I've received on past orders really makes me wonder if it's worth it. So far I've concluded it's not worth it to me.
Good luck to those of you who do purchase it, or anything else FW for that matter. I hope you receive all of your goods in a timely fashion, receive only quality castings, and failing either of those, receive prompt customer service that fixes any issues in a timely manner.
One can hope right

Wow, FW is starting to squander its goodwill with its customers. I know my own orders with them have been rather hit or miss and the AI Thunderbolts I received had all sorts of casting issues.
From what I understand, the older/more used a mould, the more it wears down from the resin casting process. So pre-orders should be fine as they are all fairly new.

I think this might put things in perspective:
I scaled the FW Reaver picture to lifesize using the base of the miniature in the picture as my reference (the Tau warrior is there for comparison) and printed it out. Next to him is my decommissioned and partially stripped AC Reaver. Peaking out from behind the AC Reaver is a lifesize picture of the FW Warhound. Speaks for itself I think.

I have $1000 USD that I could throw at it, if I really felt it was worth $1000 USD. Sour grapes would apply if I were po and couldn't afford it.
But looking at that pile, I think it looks like poo. The overall impression is more toylike than Gothic. The turtle-head is especially weak. And the design philosophy isn't internally consistent.
But good luck to GW at selling it. I won't be buying.

Personally I love the model, I considered buying one but I decided to buy a jeep last week instead :p now I can't afford it. It would be an awesome modeling project but IMO i just can't justify spending almost $1100 on a model that I won't ever even play a game with and will be too scared to bring anywhere cuz it'll break. FW stuff is awesome, and I don't mind dropping my cash down for some suped up rhino doors or even a machurious tank to make my army more unique, but I just don't think I'd ever do a titan, not even at half that price :(
If I win the lottery sometime soon, then that's a different story

A). They didn't make.
B). Has been out of production for years.

The weapons fits don't match the current AMTL army list for Epic:A, for one thing. However, as the people who write those do not, according to their own words, care one iota whether they match 40k proper (they're much more interested in balancing them with each other), I see no reason why the door should not swing both ways. Also, if the new titan doesn't match with the old fluff, what of it? Said texts have been out of print for numerous years. Besides, do current marines match the marine fluff in Rogue Trader? Does the current IG armylist match the IG armies you could field in old Epic? No, no, no.
Things change. No army list, description, image or piece of fiction is set in stone.

It's a nice model. Not $1000 nice, but still nice nonetheless. I think I'll wait for the Lucius pattern to come out and probably not buy it then either.

I had always thought that Forgeworld was "not cannon" regarding rules and such. Perhaps that changed with Apocolypse. In any event, the lists in Epic Armageddon are "army specific" as opposed to generic "catchall" lists. Thus we have the "Steel Legion" army list and a more generic "Imperial Guard" list. It would take no effort to figure out a proper cost for this model and incorporate it into a new or existing EA list and with EA being pretty much archived, who really cares?

I agree with that. Their current system is shocking, and they should, as was mentioned in their other thread, take some of their more popular items and make them not available to sale whilst at the same time not release anything new until they've caught up.
Then they can put the popular items back on sale, and start again.
That said - When is IA6 coming out?
