I like the minis, The wholerelease is well done. I gotta ask though, how is it in game that those only rate as "armor" and not heavy armor like the High Elves do. They look every bit as heavy as the high elves or even Men of Minas Tirith. Just my two cents.
I don't consider Eldar gay. Have you seen those asses on the Banshees?
Sorry.
My big question is why these Elves are all screaming. Does this mean that the next re-sculpts of them will be bald as well?
People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
This means that Spase Marienz (hurr) are going to be in LOTR now.

and jus to answer a question, no the elves didn't show up at helms deep and Haldir didn't die. i know many a lotr fangirl who gto a little bit irritated at haldir's death
The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

wait wait, 2:04 is at helm's deep? which lotr is it? 1,2,3?
Man I HATED that. It flew in the face of Tolkien's stated views on how he wanted the Elves to come across in the story.
That, and the butchering of Faramir, the chopping of the ending from the film and the pointless Arwen scenes wreck that film for me. And of course Gimli's descent into total comic relief.
The worst bit of Return of the King is probably the Skullalanche, followed closely by Aragorn chopping off the Mouth of Sauron's head. How honourable, killing a messanger at parley.
God damn screenwriters.
Apart from that, I really like these sculpts. I would happily use them as High Elves from the Last Alliance, didn't realise they were galadrim- did they have much in the way of cavalry?
Did they even show up at Helm's Deep in the books?
Nope, he did it because Helms Deep as described in the book is nowhere near as cool as it was in the movie. In the book Eomer's men are with Theoden in Helms Deep when it starts, and they have a fight at the outer wall (a wall beyond the one shown in the movies) and the men who come charging downt the gorge at the end of the battle are the scattered remnants of Erkenbrand's men (the summoning of the Westfold) who got scattered after they lost a battle to the Uruk-Hai at the fords of Isengard. Oh yah, they charge on foot, cause no-one takes a horsie down that kind of hill and survives.
I saw the minis on the sprue yesterday, and they really are nice. Wonderfully detailed sculpting. They break down in a pretty curious way, with the front and top of the head being a separate piece from the back and shoulders, presumably to give you some variants on the expression while retaining those golden locks of hair.
These guys will still be nice to steal for my future Dark Elf army. Give them frowny faces and bam! Dark Elves.
Of course, knowing GW, they will be quite expensive, but thankfully some online stores sell GW stuff - even new stuff - quite cheap.
