First of all - this is a serious post on a manner.
I do not exactly know if they are truly associated as a tag team scam party - however - their addresses (which I have on file
Are within a 30 minutes range, and have performed the same or similar scamming tactics.

That are rather sneaky until we figured it out.

They each open boxes and take 80-90% of the contents and bash the boxes up some - then return to the Postal immediately for a return to sender,
due to the box being 'damaged' on 'receiving'.

We have found this to be pre-mediated - as when we confronted the individuals they provided the excuse and provided pictures of all the boxes
as 'proof' to provide them an alibi.

I already confirmed that these individuals are NOT the same person - as I have their contact.

We have already dealt with the first individual and successfully saved over 1,000$ in goods - however we have noticed that he has been playing around other fields.

So if you have dealt with either of these individuals - please pm me.

If you have nothing real to contribute, I ask that you keep the thread clear and clean so we can fix this issue.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First Individual - went by multiple shipping names/addresses.

Randy Rohring (Original Shipping name address) or Sharon Decker (Household owner) or Tony Decker (Another name on whitepages.)
Farmington, NY

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/user/profile/14635.page

If you have been scammed by this individual let me know - I was able to make contact point.
And already have contacted the local post master and PD about it.

This individual has been a member on Dakka, and has ported to RM via dakka, thus he could have had some marks on here.
We are happy to say that the RM team was able to have 8 out of 8 individuals receive their items back in preventing a scam of over $1,000+
in Goods. And can assist you easily.

We have also found the individual to have taken people's items and sold them on ebay.

http://search-completed.ebay.com/_W0QQfrppZ50QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ32QQrdZ0QQsassZeaglesjd1972?GetResult&frpp=50&fsoo=2&fsop=32&rd=0&sass=eaglesjd1972&guest=1

EDIT: We have noticed - he actually is listing MORE NEW ITEMS - just recently.

However they aren't confirmed to be RogueMarket Members - possibly a dakka member. Notice - all his items are stripped.

If you have dealt with this individual or an individual from the same city, send me a pm.

Person #2:

Chris Jensen or K. Newman
PO Box 209
Rushville, NY

This indivudal runs by two names, also has a Dakka account. (Originted from dakka went to RM).

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/user/profile/14469.page

He has had dealings on DakkaDakka - as well on Rogue-market.com
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/recentTopics/showTopicsByUser/14469.page

If you have dealt with this individual, and have not received your end of the trade - contact me as well.

Assuming I was unfortunate enough to deal with someone doing this scam what would happen, and are there any tell tale signs other than knowing of individuals doing this scam?

I have NEVER - came across this before or seen it of its kind, but it leaves a LARGE open room to being busted.

The way to keep yourself safe, especially against this.

2. Get the person's phone number and contactetc etc. In these two situations - We was fortunate to use technology and backwards reverse trace ip, address, and name variations to locate the household.

3. If you do get a package returned, immediately check the contents. If something is fishy - talk to your local postal and then contact THEIR local postal address to confirm whether or not the package HAS been tampered or not.

Tampering with packages isn't good, and they will screw themselves.

4. Signature confirmation. HIGHLY recommend for packages over 100$. Too exspensive? Well... for 100$+ items? Its surely worth it.

1. NEVER send to a PO. Box. Sorry enough to say - its been hectic and i've only seen scams coming from them.

2. Get the person's phone number and contactetc etc. In these two situations - We was fortunate to use technology and backwards reverse trace ip, address, and name variations to locate the household.

Sorry clear as mud.

How does the scam work? Why does it require two people?

If this is simply a case of accepting the package, removing the contents and then RTS saying it was never received I simply dont see how they need two people to 'get away' with that, or a PO box.

I would not accept RTS from the intended recipient under any circumstances, if they got the package at the correct place they should keep it and photodocument everything. RTS is for items that go to the wrong place.

It looks to me like a simple case of denial of delivery, receiving the item and saying you havent.

Still cant see why it needs to people though.

Sorry - didn't mean that- will make it more clear.

The action never did require to windividuals. It didn't need two people.
At all.

They each, have performed similar tactics, and are within the same area - however they are confirmed to be different individuals.
And they have hit different individuals.

They live within a close proximity and have performed these scams at the same time.

It was just brought to my attention - when a dakka member pm'd me yesterday that there is a 'larger' picture going on here.

Somewhere.

So let me get this straight...these guys are having an item delivered to a PO Box so they can't sign for it directly, ripping it open enough to take as much stuff as they want, then returning it to the sender due to it apparently being 'damaged in transit' and laughing all the way to E-bay?

Yikes. Nasty. Is there a criminal investigation for theft and mail fraud happening yet?

RogueMarket is helping me with a transaction that I made with one of these scammers.

I was to trade a NIB battlewagon for a primed Chimera and a new leman russ. Didnt think it was to good of a trade but he threw in the chimera to seal the deal. Needless to say I sent the item out over a month ago and in that time he has stopped repling to my messages and I never recieved the items he said he was going to ship to me.

Hopefully we can get some legal action against these guys for mail and internet fraud. Is it worth one battle wagon, probably not. Is it worth seeing a con artist pay the price, most deffinatly.

I did make a trade with Chris Jensen - he is FOW&40KFan on this site.

I sent him an Ork Trukk and he never returned his end of the bargin. So if there is an Ork Trukk up for bid and it's "missing" half of the back or has both a Big Shoota and Rokkit Ork, it's mine.

I have the Delivery Confirmation postage and receipt still.

Please note that in Alaska, you can pretty much only send to PO boxes, as most postal carriers cannot get to every back street and rural location up here! I have made many transactions and trades, and I use a PO box, so really the first rule here is BS. The rest are completely true, though.

I also wanted to state that US service members with overseas addresses have mail boxes as well. They are not traditional PO box addresses, but very similar and the mail itself goes into New York to get on the plane to go overseas for all ares except the pacific region. I have two trades pending as we speak and these are my first trades on this site. I want to ensure both parties that your packages have been sent and I will follow up with PMs to verify if you have received them.

Pacific region you send to CA and then it ships out overseas. You do need to fill out a customs form. I'm in the middle of a trade to a fella in service in Japan.

You can get a confirmation number to the coast. after that.....

Some people think i'm joking

RM - organized all the information - and gathered all people who got scammed information and compiled it.

Furthermore - we have assisted in this topic due to the fact that we have contacted the Farmington Postal Office Immediatedly after suspicion and they had actually held packages from delivery TO the address. We coordinated with all the individuals and told them to contact the postal office as well to ensure that the hold will be placed.

After this - I, personally, used reverse address lookup and managed to find the contact information with both parties. I simply called them and told them what they will be facing - when the have tampered and stole people's items.

The fact that we also found his:
-Ebay Account
-Phone Number(S)
-Adddress
-Name(s)
-Ip Address
-ISP Information

We clearly made it clear that we have excellent techniques on locating individuals.

This was all done by our staff administration.

We made contact point - and acted as a

No - unboxed sprues on ebay is not a scam.

The individuals always buys battleforces - and cuts them up individuall.

The battleforces, even if you bought on retail, will ALWAYS save you money.

Since vendors get 40-50% off MSRP on GW product - think about this - they go and buy a battleforce, and sell each part individual, generating massive profit instead of selling the battleforce itself.
