Quick (non-confrontational) question.
Obviously, you guys have been putting some hours in on this. I've read everything over, and I have a question I can't answer. Either the information's not in the thread, or I overlooked it.

What proof do you have that they're working together as a group?
I saw the idea tossed about early on, then denied as unproven, but recently returned. I've seen some circumstancial evidence of it, but nothing solid.
I mean, there are things you KNOW and things you "know."
I "knew" Obama was going to win the presidency, but I didn't KNOW it (Make sense on how I mean the difference? I hope so).

Anyway, do you KNOW or "know" that they're working together? If you KNOW it, please tell us how.

Eric

That can't be done anymore. The ID's of the bidders are shielded by randomly generated character strings. We've no way of knowing how to reach the people bidding on his current auctions.

Will do - its within emails - and will provide information on how they are linked.

Off to somewhere atm - however I'll just show the proof behind it all.

Which isn't taken in any offense at all.

I will confirm - they are NOT the same person - I've spoken to each before on the phone.

Also confirmed that they ARE indeed actually different individuals that are real - based on our name lookup.

But even so - quite simply linked or not - we are still dealing with two scammers.

Even if they aren't linked - it is still a matter at hand regardless.

Right?

But they are linked.

Right?

You are correct.

Regardless of our personal diferences, you know enough of me to know that I take scams and dishonesty seriously.

I was simply asking for the sake of clarification and from curiosity.

Any updates on the Chris Jensen side? I know last you said he was trying to worm his way out of any responsibility.

My vote is we just turn his sorry arse over to the police and be done with it.

True, Steven... but I never questioned that they knew each other. The information given substantiated that statement. I was merely inquiring on whether or not they were able to be proven -at this point- to be working in tandem. It appears as if the proof is circumstantial, at best (which is not to say that means they aren't/weren't... just that it's only circumstantial proof).

According to the information Justin posted, those references had been posted on roguemarket. I wouldn't know, as I have not been there to check.
I don't see any reason why Justin would lie, though, when it would be so easy to prove that he was, indeed, lying.

Or maybe I missed something... Hmm... Nope.

Anyway, might be good to just watch them quietly RM, make them think you actually believe their "We're going to change our ways! Promise!" B.S. and just see where they go once they start feeling safe again. Set up a few sleeper-buyers just to see if they try their half-arsed garbage again.

Just got home - I'll show you how they are connected - in a bit - gotta take care of stuf.

@ metal - yes and no..

just leaving them be to see their next intention is kinda bad - we dont want them on RM - so we instant removed them. Bringing this on light to DakkaDakka - and now MM - being admin on BT is aware.

These guys are not going anywhere, if they are - well I've got their info and i'd easily share.

Dont know if i want to .. setup em up and play ' to catch a predator' style with them lol.

Or: "People are letting their imagination get the better of them (as you insinuate), and it started around this post. Regardless of the possibility there is no direct correlation made by the original poster save for them to say that the two in question do have a connection to one another so long as the **claim of referencing holds true."

** as kept intact in MagickalMemories post.

Which should've been somewhat clear with the use of the word Psyker, you know - for humor purposes? You do have a sense of humor don't you?

If "and even so" is synonymous with "regardless of the case" then I can definitely see I err'd - otherwise yes, you did miss something.

@ RogueMarket

please don't Chris Hansen people. That guy violates so many laws that I'm surprised any of the people he "catches" are handled.

I think the most important thing is that now all the different trading forums now know about these guys. It is in our power as a community of gamers to blacklist especially bad people from our sites. Personally I am glad to see members from Dakka, Bartertown, and Rogue-Market all participating in this thread. Communication is our number one tool to deal with situations like this.

I'm not insinuating that people are letting their imaginations run. I'm asking for specifics. As an ADMIN on Bartertown, now, it's one of my responsibilities to watch out for the best interests of the members of that site.
One of the ways I do so is by collecting information on scammers.
It's no secret how Justin and I feel about each other. I suspect that even he doesn't think I'm insinuating anything. If I thought it, I'd just say it. I've always been straight-forward like that.

Can you explain what "** as kept intact in MagickalMemories post" (emphasis mine) means? Sorry. I seem to have missed what you were referring to in that instance.

As for my humor... Yes, I do have a sense of humor. It's quite well developed, in fact.

Originally, your entire issue was over whether or not I even said something that had little to no relevance to the overall topic at hand. Indeed you've managed to leave me wondering as to why you even bothered to target me when I wasn't even being rude.

And I did miss something, for which I apologize. And that would be the reasoning you gave behind your rather apathetic and seemingly egotistical attitude. The whole "I'm right, you're all wrong" approach, it just isn't working. Unless you have something actually useful to add to the -relevant- topic of this forum, I'd suggest not contributing at all. Not a threat or an insult, but rather advice. For one, it helps to not have people consider you a troll. Two, it's a good idea to avoid negative publicity so that you don't start drawing Mod attention by treating other members rudely just to try and spark a rise. You don't make friends that way mate. Just food for thought.

People here are going to treat you the same way you treat them. Most of us learned that rule in preschool, I'm going to assume you did as well. Treat other forum users with respect and they'll do the same to you. If you slip in and start trying to evoke a fight however, then others' opinions of you are going to dry up pretty quick. We're more than happy to hear what you have to say on the intended topic of this thread, just don't start trying to slip in rude and snide remarks to other users. It won't help you at all.

BINGO!

Also, in an ironic twist on something you threatened to do previously, I'm going to make another promise.
If the package is not signed for, it will be returned to me. If it is returned to me, I will set out everything that is in the box of import and burn it. I will watch it go up in flames.
The video that I shoot of it will be posted to YouTube. I will email you a link, as well as post links to it in open forums.
Remember when you threatened me that, if I sent you anything, you'd burn it and send me a link to the video, Matthew? Well, this way, you'll get what you want (burned models), regardless - MagickalMemories
