I much prefer them advertising new products by advertising new products. There's nothing two-faced or clandestine about that - it is called 'What's New Today' after all.

What's more annoying is when they advertise new products by dressing it up as content, like when Planetstrike came out and they talked about the best things to use in Planetstrike: The Iron Clad Dread, Land Speeder Storm, Vulkan and Kahn - all who happened to be that month's releases.

Imagine that. A corporate companies website being used to promote their latest product.

Yeah that case is a very big deterrent to male gamers. It's not even a nice case either.

Yes, it is under the "What's new today" section, so not surprised there.. what DOES surprise me is the fact that all but one of the items is being offered over at the War Store.. cheaper.

Almost as if GW is trying to compete with someone lol....

Warstore has sort of been carrying GW for all of their existance, and usually discounts off of retail. So, how are you surprised?

And they already made money selling it to the Warstore. Doubtful they are worried about competing.

Anyhow- yeah- the whats new section is going to tell you of new releases when they come out- but it does do other things to, like you know when there isn't a new release that day
painting articles, gaming articles, previews of new stuff and loads of ideas of conversions and some nice models done by people- 4 days out of the week this week

I think the "new" cases would be perfect for my Nurgle Daemons. I can fill up one tray of the normal troop foam with my Plaguebearers. Mess with the other two to hold the larger Beasts. Use the vehicle foam to hold all the Daemon Princes and Heralds and The Fat Man.

While ideally Battlefoam's custom trays would be better for the Beasts and big stuff, I don't have enough yet to fill them, and the pick and pluck gives me better adaptability as the army grows.

I appreciate the What's New Today stuff. Most of the time they show player models and cool conversions (kinda useless without bits orders, but still) and link to the other new articles on the site. I'll put up with one day of catalog.

With the lack of much else along those lines for the past few years, I'll take this from GW's site, and hope for more down the road...

It's not quite Black Gobbo, but What's New Today is rather nice. There's usually a cool conversion or army spotlight there, or a link to new/reposted articles. I can't complain.

Yea, I especially enjoyed the Space Wolves fighting off the 'Nids invasion diorama. Inspiring stuff and makes me wish I had more money.

I've started to like What's new today.. Mostly It just shows what new products they have available in a more interesting way.

But sometimes it's pretty cool, it shows a little bit of life at the studio.Giving a glimpse of the Studios way of thinking, which for good or bad is thought provoking.

Lots of the conversions by Studio Staff are very cool, and i like how sometimes when you click a image you get a second Picture/Angle of the same model.

But while saying that some of the look what's new 'to buy' today articles have agitated me some what... None pissed me off as much as this What's new today in which I found myself reading this 'look what we made of the blast scape craters, except the product you buy will be nothing like these/ your craters will look like gak!'/EndRant... but that experiance with the all new WebSite content/Lies has put me off GW terrain for the time being, dispite the fact they are better, I still havn't bought the shrine of the aquila or battlescape.
