Evening fellas.

Just placed my order for the bits I want to make one of mine out of. Body is coming from the Carnosaur model, with the head, legs and tail coming from the The Caller's Giant Rat Zombie type thing. Intend to use Greenstuff to add patches of fur and decaying flesh, as well as fleshy tubes tipped with Rat Ogre Heads. Might chuck in some various other Rat Ogre parts as and when they fit.

Will get some Batteries for my Digital Camera, and hope to be posting up a log as it goes.

Anyone else have ideas for theirs?

You might want to check this upcoming Pit Fiend by Troll Forged Miniatures out!

I do like that one, but can't use it in the shop sadly!

As much as I enjoy looking at your avatar, I find it to be of very poor taste on these forums that are generally a family environment. I'd be surprised if I was the only one who felt this, but not if I was the only one to say something about it. You should change it before a mod kicks your ass, and maybe think a little bit harder about how your actions effect others in the future. Again, I enjoy it, but a conservative parent watching their child use these forums seeing that would get pretty pissed - which doesn't help the hobbies reputation, or dakka's.

Back on Topic, however, I was thinking of using a completely converted Dragon Ogre, perhaps removing the Torso, with a Rat Ogre head.

on topic i would say look at the Shaggoth though it would need some major conversion or bomb around the LOTR section i find great stuff there

That Trollforged pit fiend looks pretty good so far. Should be nice when finished.

I really like looking at BrookM's avatar, I think it's great that as a woman, model and gamer, she is confident enough to put her own picture up as her avatar.

I applaud her for it and want her to know just how much I appreciate it...

I only found the courage to put my own phot up as my avatar recently, clad in my day to day red armour for the office.


Oh and OnTopic what about using one of the forgeworld spawn or horned beast models as the basis?

Oh and I'd also considered that McFarlane do a model of the dogmutant from The Thing which you could use as the basis, as long as you covered it in enough GW bits to up the % it would be ok?

Personally I find the giant rat of the Necromunda Caller a good start, it's just a skeleton for the most part, ideal for bulking out and modding with GS and bits.

MGS is actually Brian Blessed too. True story.

They're literally a foot long, excluding the tail.

Described in the book as a Blind Wyrm with bits of Rat Ogre nailed to it...

Added a secondary order for my project, a pack of 'Watcher In The Water' tentacles from LotR. Almost forgot they existed!

Main idea is to affix them around the neck, to be feeders, grabbing prey before stuffing them into the gob. Will see how that goes (Blutak involved at first).

Actually, quick question.

Isn't there a rule that avatars cannot be too similar or something like that?
Cause Karm's looks remarkably like Hellfury's, just without the actual animation.

Very amused how many people are offended by Brook's avatar. It's just a girl in a bikini for God's sake. In Britain, you can walk into any newsagent (WHSmiths included) and be confronted with a multitude of magazine covers showing girls wearing a lot less. And I'm not just talking top shelf magazines either...

Well, initial assembly has now started.

Body, rear legs and front right 'arm' are all Carnosaur originals. Tail, Head and left front 'arm' are from The Callers Giant Dead Rat thingy.

Sadly, my Tentacles are coming in the next delivery (weeks time) so the project has been slowed somewhat. Greenstuffed the joints, had a little play with it to make things look mankier, and also put an open wound on the left flank of the body, which will have a few Giant Rat heads keeking out to the outside world.

Will hold off on sculpting the patches of fur until I have decided where the Tentacles are going, which I still have no idea. Think I'll have one coming out the mouth, tipped with a Plaguemonk head, in a bizarre tentacle gob bait/lure type thing.

Overall fairly well pleased, but need to do a lot of work to disguise/mankificate the Carnosaur body. Right now it looks a little like a plucked turkey...

Also, is the caller the right size with the carny?
Never seen the caller rat before in scale, so not sure how he measures up.

I had all but forgotten about them tentacles, they're indeed good conversion fodder.

Head is a pretty much exact match for the Carnie's head, and even better, the head and neck of the Rat are a single piece which link to the Torso, giving you a manky rotting neck to play with.

I will endeavour to get some pics up over the weekend. In all day tomorrow, so I'm hoping the Boss' iPhone can e-mail me the pics. I think iPhones have a camera!
