Deciding on what to get for a tatto knowing you are going to have it for life is gonna be a tough decision. It's not necessarily the specific iconography that has to appeal to a person. I had been looking for something unique to get for a long time. I got into W40K a few years ago and have been enthralled with everything about it. Well after reading the Eienhorn books I became obsessed with the Inquisition and it's Iconography and some of it's simpler quotations. Well after breaking it down into what I liked I liked the simple letter "I" but then when I looked at the Dark Heresy RPG they had a great image with the skull in it. So I went with that and then my Tattoo artist and I added and subtracted a few things. I then added some latin for "Innocence Proves Nothing". I found a great font that seemed to encompass the dark gothic feel and I am now the proud owner of a fantastic tattoo.

I have seen a few amazing pieces of art and have read some horro stories about certain perceptions. I know several people who really wanted to get the Aquila as a tattoo but didn't take into the account the symbolism similarities it ahs with naziism. The deaths head is another mistaken identity.

I'd like to see a more pics of work people have had done...Post yer stuff!!

Can we not dig that nonsense up again, please?

GW will not go after anyone with a tattoo containing GW imagery. They potentially could go after the tattooist... but it's absurdly unlikely to ever happen.

You sir, have a cool tat. I have no gaming tats, almost got the mana symbols from MTG on me...the wife talked me outta it. When I saw the post title, I was scared I would see a space marine or something like an apocolypse battle on someones back But you pulled it off in a nice fashion!

I got a really good deal on it. On average for the time put into it I'd say it should cost anywhere between 300-500 USD.

Thanks for the compliments. I thought he did a really nice job. I was partial to this or some form of the Adeptus Mechanicus symbol.

As far as copyright is concerned, the basic concept is from them, but according to most Int'l copyright laws if the logo is changed a minimum of 20% it isn't considered violation. I work for a sign shop and we deal with trademarks and copyrights on a daily basis.

A friend of mine has a Minotaur from the olf Realms of Chaos book on his calf, but I don't have a picture.

(Hehehehe minotaur... calf... hehehe)

I have a VERY dodgy chaos icon on my knee, that I gave myself one night after too much rum. I need to get a tattoo gun myself so I can fix it...

my favorite is the giant chaos warrior back piece...
i read an article that the artist won multiple awards for that piece...

another good one i saw was just a large plain aquila on a guys upper back...

ive actually been considering getting something (hell, some of my tattoos are symbols from diablo 2, so why not warhammer...), but havent pondered something sick enough to get yet

I sort f get the idea behind tattoos (have a couple I'd like to get, but $$ always seems needed elsewhere...), but this scarification thing is beyond my comprehension.

Okay. First off, anyone who can go through scarification to that degree... Bra-freaking-vo! That's one heck of a pain tolerance you must have.

IF you're going to get a piece of scarification art, and you're going to get something 40K... Can you think of anything BETTER than Slaanesh to get?
Me neither.

I've been considering a Blood Angel tat, Unfortunately I wouldn't want to be associated with anything vampire (thanks twilight). But maybe the imperial eagle would fit in with my star wars tat.
