I recently found out i've spent about £619 on 40k. I'm a rather indecisive person and so a lot of this was wasted on various armies. How much have you spent?

Over 5 years about £3000 over 2 game systems, 4 armies and a shedload of terrain and paraphanalia.

In the dawn of time (back in my youth) I decided never to total the amount of money I had spent on my hobbies.

Of course back then I played both 40K, Magic and airsoft, so the knowledge would probably have sent me reeling (enter Crying Game bath scene).

I would guess £2000 over the past five years.

I don't count stuff like paints and materials which are used for all my wargaming. The amount is for GW figures and other companies' products to be used specifically for 40K.

I've spent nearly $1500 just on Forge World gubbins for my Cadians...
Respirator sets, the FAR nicer track guards for the Chimeras, Chimera interiors, the nice slab armor for the sides...

I don't want to think about it

I'm doing fairly well at about $700 spent. About 7,000 points worth of stuff and appropriate modeling and painting supplies. Now I'm trying to use tournament winnings to fund expansion since I can reliably take home first prize in local tournaments.

dont really want to think what ive spent in 12 years!

in the last year ive spent more on 40k than my car cost, most of it still in boxes but with redundancy looming i have a nice stockpile to build while jobless

As Ketara said, "too much" but at least I've earned some back by slimming down from around 14 armies to 3 and some sundries... trouble is, I'm building armies up again now so the money is going out again XD

Let's see...ignoring tax and such...$564 (Not including a few modeling supplies, including glue, snips and a knife along with paints). Most of it on my Tau army, although I've spent a good $135 on Space Wolf stuff.

Incidentally, that's about 350 pounds if Google is to be trusted.

I can see that... Just looking at the stuff you want to sell off makes my head spin

I have most likely spent around $4,000 over the last 15 years. The only reason its that low is because I took a 5 year break in the middle. At this point I think I spend about $500 a year in models, supplies, and tourney fees.

I'd conservativly place the amount I've spent on armys,paints,supplies,etc some where in the nieghborhood of $7,000.00.
But I did have to rebuild 2 armies that were totaly destroyed.
