Now don't flame me for being surprised as I genuinely did not see this coming.
According to an article on Yahoo and other sources Ricky Martin has finally come out of the closet.
Now, while I may not like his style of music I honestly did not ever think RM liked to spend company with the same sex. In fact he is the biological father of twins.
It sure is a twist that I bet very few people saw coming or new about.

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.
“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.”

I have a minor one, meaning they have to be ALMOST flamboyantly gay for me to take notice.

Long story short: bar, drinking, cool guy, then becomes not so cool guy, dont talk to me cause i am not that way.

err... not really. There's been "gossip" about it for quite some time, there were even pictures of him and his boyfriend doing the round of the gossip sites for a couple of years, and when you go around saying things like my heart could belong to a woman or a man.
then you might as well just come out and say it.
And, really, when you're paying for a surrogate mother to bear your kids ..well....
from 2008.
Still, good luck to the guy.

Good luck with his life in general. Can't say I'm a fan or anything... truth be told apart from that "Living la vidi" track i don't think I'm aware of anything else he's done, I figure he is, perhaps, more popular in N/S America than in the UK.
*disclaimer : I don't have any tweenage kids so there's every chance he's massive and I'd just never heard of him. I'd never heard of Justin...Baver ? Beever ? Baever ? Sp ? Until last week.*

Im surprised too, when i see a man with a day-glo tan, ridiculously shiny teeth, sculpted abs, waxed eyebrows and leather pants i always think "man he cant POSSIBLY be gay!"
I remember people saying they were surprised when Elton John came out...

Great. Probably the last person I ever wanted to see in the "news" again. Thanks douchebag, for making people who were actually BORN with the name Richard Martin have to deal with this crap again.

QFT. I've seen one picture of this guy, and one only. And that was like, mid 90's when he was just new on the music scene. And the first thought through my head? "Closet case!"

I'm shocked, I also bummed him years ago, but I totally wouldn't have if I'd known he was gay.
Meanwhile, I'm really surprised so many people didn't assume he was gay.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |
