Hello.
Lorek has kindly given me permission to let you guy's and girls know about my small resin accessory company which designs and makes custom base's and like the title says resin shell casings which are scaled to 40k miniatures which are cast to the highest quality buy one of the top resin casting companys in the UK.
At the moment there are five sizes Standard, Shotgun, Heavy, Heavy Plus, and Assualt Plus with Auto rounds on the way.
Standard (1.9mm x 0.7mm)
Assault Plus (2.9mm x 1.5mm)
You can see more of my work at

You're casting those tiny things in resin? wow.
I'd have thought it'd be easier to turn them in plastic on a CNC lathe...

I ordered them and received very quickly a week or 2 ago after seeing them on cool mini.
Guys, these things are TINY (ordered regular, shotgun and assault cannon sizes) and seriously well cast, no flash, mold lines, bubbles. Good quality resin and sharp as hell.
Recommended!
PS - Thanks for the quality product Daral, as a suggestion, I would recommend you show the shells next to a few minis, it is difficult to appreciate the scale or how smooth and sharp they are until you compare their scale to a known quantity.

No man, those are on a scale of a miniature.
And even if he modeled it off of a shell casing they still look sweet.

No. A .22 casing would be huge in comparison to miniatures. Autocannon-size if not larger.

A 0.22 calibre shell case would be about the size of a 12-inch naval gun shell case in 28mm scale, but longer.
To reverse the perspective, if you got an empty 12-inch shell casing, it would be like a knight's heavy jousting helm.

Hello
As MajorTom11 suggested I have taken a couple of pictures of the Standard shell to show the size in comparison with a bolt gun.
(sorry for the not so great quality)
I have put one in the ejection port on this pic. (again apologies for the quality)
Thank you

Very Nice.
I would be interested in some mortar shells, specifically griffon caliber (5-8mm?). Although I would also be interested in regular sized as well (not enough in the Heavy Weapon for me!)

Compare what you just said with what most of the "Firing Marine" art shows and what is sculpted into the sides of bolters.

Aye, the Marksmanship Honour used by the Ultramarines is even a golden bolter shell once fired by their Primarch. These could be used for that as well.
Too bad that modelling some freshly ejected shells still suspended in midair is going to be difficult.

Pretty much because it looks cooler than if they weren't there.

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity...... |

THIS. The rule of cool always prevails.
Plus, the Tony Montana marine would only look so-so otherwise.

I wish he sold them in bulk $2+ for 10 is a bit pricey.
I still plan on buying a couple but I would of loved to make a sick Magna like base with a marine with twin pistols and a carpet of shells.
Bingo that is it.Please make a couple a of bases that are littered with shells,I mean like piles of them like something you would see during the seige of Terra.
But very nice product.
You bases are really cool too, just wish they were not on beveled bases.

I keep getting asked for 40k type base's so maybe.
To be honest I will not make anything I don't like and refuse to build anything that has been seen before just to make money of people, I try to make unique parts
and 40k theme bases have got me at a stump as copyright puts a full stop on my ideas.
Thanks

I use .22 cases for Bazalisk cases in dioramas ( it fits exactly down the barrel by the way, so its the right scale). If you can find a .17m2 then its even better! Has the corect shape
.45 ACP is waaaaay to big for a bazalisk!
