All my progress regarding my Fox Marine Army or any other painting or modeling projects will now be posted here, the initial thread for my Fox Marine army (aka Space Wolves) where it tells a little bit more about my army idea can be found here-> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/296402.page .

Quick over view the paint scheme for the Fox marines will look like this.

Said paint scheme on models.

I shall leave you with a sexy image I found on the internet of a Female Space Wolf in Power Armor, enjoy.

Now edited for fewer pics to shorten the first post.

More to come in time.

Update 5-27-2010

Here is the process that I will use for creating my female scouts from the WE glade guard torso

1. Standard torso - the armor of the glade guard is very nice because it proportions out where the abdomen area and approximately where the bottom of the rib cage is on the model.

2. The after adjustment stage - in this stage it show's the "wrapped armor" cut away to remove the clothing so to speak and so a little deeper than the skin body suit because I will be adding it in a later step

3. Armor - basically this is where I model on the armor mostly to get the shape of the brest plate of that of standard scout armor giving it that extra thickness.

4. The bodysuit - this is where I put green stuff where I carved away modeling the bodysuit and hopefully the carving and armor done in the previous steps will give enough of a gap to make it look like their wearing Scout armor.

I'm also debating wither or not to purchase the materials to make a mold for the torso so that I won't have to repeat the process and not risk unsatisfying results every time.

I was absolutely ecstatic when my WE glade guard package varied from ebay, unfortunately it had half of the units (you get what you pay for is suppose). None the less I was ecstatic and I quickly assembled one of my headless SM's with one of the new WE heads and it looks great. Once I get the batteries charged for my camera I'll put up a pic of it.

A tip how to do blood on the legs, use the blisterfoam to get a more splatter stained look. Like the colour scheme and the looks onte the models.

Interesting, I'll keep that in mind. Its suppose to look like mud on the legs thoe because its a mix of codex gray and scorched brown , Its probably the camera flash that made it look like blood.

Here's the pics I promised earlier

I should probably turn the flash off my camera, but anyways its a simple head swap which is how I see a female space marine should be if GW ever says that their possible and they are much more tasteful this way, not a LoL boob marine. With the way the WE heads are you need to fill the hole in the top of the SM chest armor. I did this by cutting off the nub off the bottom of one of my extra SM heads and glued the WE head to that. I also put a chain sword on the belt which is pretty cool looking to me. On a side note I my second and last headless SM and it is now a female SM bringing the total to 2 female SM's so far in my Fox Marines army .

What I really like about the WE sprews that it came with non-hooded and hooded heads which is really cool so I can use the cloaks and hooked heads on my scouts which will make them look really cool. Once I get some green stuff I might make the half helm look a little more purposeful with a cybernetic eye or the eye patch that snake wears in guns of the patriots.

Oh and one last thing is it a good or bad thing to put green stuff on a painted model or dose it not matter?

What washes would you suggest, I've been debating weither or not to use washes on my marines.

Then when I start fleshing out my fluff further I'll have to be extra fluffy when I do.

Jupp, you can apply the mud the same way as the blood, with the blisterfoam. Thats the way you also do the first step in chipping.

Huge update here, managed to finish 8 Fox Marines in about 4-5 hours and I'm ecstatic about the results, although in all my excitement I realized I forgot to paint the purity seals, the inside of some of the bolter barrels and the helmet lenses while I was taking the pictures. They still look bad ass anyways.

the group

and now for some close ups.

here's a detail shot of some of the models that have some back details

Now for the female marines, I'm quite satisfied with the results

most of them aren't based yet, but that will be done tomorrow, and as I said earlier in my exitment to upload the pics I realized I forgot to paint the purity seals and eyes on the helmets so that will also be done tomorrow now for some sleep .

The sniper scout is so great, I love him!!! The bow in the back is a bit weird, but that's your take on him and it's pretty cool after all...

Are you drybrushing all you models? They look nice that way, and it's a pretty efficient way to paint quickly a whole force, but you should try and pay a tad more attention to details on your characters, to make them stand out...
Also, drybrushing tends to make the minis appear "dusty". If it's what you're looking for, perfect! If not, you could try and add a single wash on them (maybe black, brown or blue) to act as a glaze...

Anyway, you manage to paint quickly, that's something I cannot achieve!!! Cheers,

Yup, the feral world that my chapter pulls from has a viking / American Indian hunter type of culture. So its a very cultural memento kind of weapon but it also gives the model character.

Yes I am using a lot of drybrushing specifically for the 'dusty' effect because it makes the armor look used and worn. With a black primer I then paint the armor primary of codex gray then do a decent drybrushing of fortress gray then a lighter drybrush of scull white to get some nice highlights then wash with delvan mud to get the slight brown color on the model (and gets into some of the recesses to make some of the armor detail show up) which looks really cool and it also keeps the 'dusty' effect that I want.

Yeah I should probably go back and put in some extra little details for a couple of my models, especially my Rune Priest.

Yeah, after thinking a bit about it, the mini has a stance that somewhat says something like "Should I empty my bolter upon you and you dare live, I still have my old & trusted bow to nail your eyes with some Mighty Shafts of Awful Death (tm)"!!!
Really nice!!!

As I said I've been working on converting a Female WE glade guard torso to a female space marine scout torso and so far here is my progress. As you can see the shape of the armor is there I just need to get it smoothed out and some of the finer generic details added, like the respirator thing on the front of the armor and the 'vent' like thing on the upper back.

Well here some pics next to my normal Space wolf scouts, and I quickly mocked up how I'm going to assemble them

As I'm still very much a beginner when it comes to green stuff C&C is very much welcome.

I left the hole in the back of the glade guard torso for the option of putting on the cloak

also another minor update my fox lord and a long fang with green stuff mods, and an attempt at feather seals.

Yeah I know I haven't updated in a while just recently got mass effect 1&2 for the pc for 75% off retail price on steam ($5 for ME1 and about $25 for ME2) and getting my Sheperd character all set up for ME3 but anyways back to modeling.

I've also been working on my female scout torso and I finally finished it, made a mold for resin and here is the 2nd result, first time I didn't clear the poor channel all the way, and here's some pics. Sorry if you can't see the resin result my camera died and these were the only pics I was able to get of it before the battery died, I"ll take some more with out the white printer paper in the background.

I'll get some better pics soon when my camera battery is charged again.

I left it blank so that I can add details later to show the personal customization of the armor to each soldier, because space wolves as individuals like to personalize their armor.
