Long time no update, sorry bout that. I have a really bad habit of starting enthusiastically on a project then suddenly stop to do something else.

Anyways here's a little update, I bought the Space Wolves Battleforce at my FLGS and just wanted to show you my progress so far which I have the Drop pod mostly assembled (this is just a mock up). The Bottom, fins, engine/ storm bolter and the harnesses are separate for easier painting of the details.



I was actually surprised about how small the drop pod actually was.

If you make the girl ones too skinny they will look out of place, in my opinion. I do think they should be skinnier but they still should look like their armor and equipment fits in with the boys.

For the Female Marines in Power Armor I'm doing a simple head swap, but for the Female Scouts I'm using bits from WE glade guard and the custom Female Scout Body I made for them.

Anyways here's a little update, a plasma rifle marine.



Sence the new SW have a lot of extra bits on them it was interesting to decide how to paint some parts of the model but I'm satisfied with the way it came out. Unfortunately my camera battery died before I could take any more pics but as soon as its charged I'll post up some more of this guy.

Well I ordered a couple of Infinity miniatures off of ebay and these are the two that I got and I'm debating on which one would be better to mod into my Space wolf (Fox scout) Sargent. Technically SW don't have a Scout Sargent cause their scouts are very seasoned soldiers, but I would at lest like to have a Sargent looking character for my scouts so here are the two models I got off of ebay.

I would also like to note that both of the models are multi part and the arms are not attached so It will make it easy to change/add weapons to the model
I also have green stuff so I can add or change some elements to the models.


The pose is good and I like the overall model, the only real modifications would be shortening of the hair to the second hair band and adding armor to the shins, and shoulders with green stuff.


The second one has a nice dynamic pose and has a interesting armor for a scout, The only real magor thing I would have to do is cutting the head off and using on of the wood elf glade guard heads which wouldn't be so bad. I would also add green stuff to the upper legs to get a baggy pants effect which should look fairly cool. I may also green stuff the torso a bit to get a proper scout armor look to it.

But which one should I chose for my Fox Scout Sargent?

After some debating with the extra bits I had this is what I came up with...

Mr. Wolf Lord aka Fox Lord - runic armor, belt of russ, storm bolter, frost blade





Next is my Lone Wolf aka Lone Fox - the only question is, Frost Blade or Thunder Hammer?

Storm sheild, (frost blade or thunder hammer), Melta bombs, Mark of the wulfen

Frostblade imho, he's a loner and it would be a shame if he died before he could swing his TH. So for me, frostblade it is! Also great painting, the orange and grey really work good togheter!

Thunder hammer, as hammers are infinitely cooler than frosty icicle swords.

Hmm Interesting, 50/50 split. I'm leaning tourds the TH, but the frost blade would still be a good choice.

While the TH has some nice rules the faster swinging Frost Blade is probably the better choice.

Hmm...I haven't thought of a name for him yet. I'm kinda concentrated on getting what I have painted, but I'll be sure to come up with a good name for him.

I suggest after your done painting looking through a dictonary or a bible. As they seem to have the most inspiration of names.

Minor update, working on my wolf lords base and so far I'm really liking it. I used a small flying base.

just stuck a little green stuff on the foot of my wolf lord to see how he will look on it.

Nice army, really like this idea too.

Sorry it takes me so long to update

This is how I do my gray for my Marines
I start with a black primer, then after I've drybrushed with chainmail on most of the parts that I want metal, I start with a base of Codex Gray, then I do a drybrushing of Fortress Gray, then a light drybrushing of Skull White. After that is all done I then hit it with a Delvan Mud wash, then after the wash is dry I go back over with another light drybrushing of Skull White to bring out the edges and highlights again.

Another apology, no updates on the models but I finaly got the modivation to put down an Idea that I've had in my head for a while, its a WIP and I'm planning on finishing it for a new signature and avatar.

Thanks!, I was looking back to my first thread for my fox marines, and some of the fluff ideas I had need to be re-written and re-thought to be a bit more proper with current 40k lore.

Minor update, I'm working rather slow compared to how fast I usually can get through these guys.

my count as Arjak rockfist and termis. I'd like to magnitize arjak so I can swap his arms out just in case if I need a regular WG termi(the sets of legs behind Arjak are to be Skyclaws, and you can barley see the assault marines behind them that need to be repainted.)

5 more marines done. Just waiting on bits from GW and Ebay. Melta guns and a combi melta.

Here's the full squad of GH that will be either in a rhino that i will have or the drop pod i have.

Finished up my wolf priest to go with the skyclaws. Just waiting on the jump pack from ebay which should be here in the next day or so.

Working on some Wolves painted up in a Fox fur pattern.

Glad to see the Fox Marines aren't dead!

What I really like, I think, is that you always manage to break the monotony of the grey with nice colours (green, orange, blue, red), that fit well with one another.
