Another day, another "Which army is (worst / best / fav / least fav) please, for the sake of dakka, put these in the dakka polls thread or stop making them.

Hmm.. Well I searched this and nothing came up for least favorite to play agianst... It's ot which is best or worst, its just preference.

Necrons... I could win with my eyes closed. I shouldn't have to tell my opponent that he can go ahead and ignore certain rules in his codex (phase out) just so the game doesn't end on turn 3.

I've played warhammer for 2 years and I only something that wasn't space marines once. Space marines have gotten stale for me.

I generally HATE Space Marines as I normally see them use a line of Rhinos as game play ALWAYS cracks down to this

Enemy turn. Rhinos run halfway through board and pop smoke

My turn. Said smoke prevents most of my guns from killing anything

Enemy. Rhinos get closer to me and don't pop smoke while other vehicles destroy most anti tank I own

Me. I destroy SOME rhinos with no one inside killed

Enemy. All marines get out and those in crates GET OVER terrain and rape EVERYTHING on my side of board

Me. Proceed to lose as everything is in combat and cannot shoot

But I'm also torn to voting Orks as a friend has taken the fun out of them

Geez... taken the fun out of orks... that's one lame friend.

For me, I always dislike IG- all our local players except for one spam leafblowers- and another one plays chaos as well, so we get about an equal chance.

Actually for the first time ever I saw a necron versus necron game... it wound down to 'who has the most models and who will phase out first'. Kinda sad- metal bots slowly walking toward eachother, not killing anything.

All-comer "Elite slot" list mania with red paint.

It's the same thing over and over (like Spess mehreens and rhinos), wagons with burnas and mega-nobs rush to other side of field with lootas backing it up destroying everything not in a transport/ destroying railguns/ etc.

It's more going up against his lists than that of others since al other Ork players nearby either A) Don't show up at the FLGS enough, or B) They sold their Orkz. I also bear a small grudge against him since he knows all the sneaky tricks and tactics to use with Necrons, but then again I don't as we are closely good friends having a good time

Nothing like 20+ missile launchers to the face to remind you just how broken that dex is.
I'll throw in regular Spaes Marines, because people I play against generally play with half their brain on and I almost always win against them.

TAU.

I guess I've just played against them too often. And while I have beaten them with my Orks a line of Battlesuits/Broadsides can ruin your game before it starts.

I have never ever played a orc that played fair except for one guy. But that was no fun. I was always beat him in a game.

Well space wolves have that stupid pyschic stuff that really unbalances the game.

Also, there is VERY little variety in SW lists.

Really close between space marines and SW. I may play a "stereotypical" Vulkan list myself but it is the only one I have seen in my area. I chose SW ultimately. The reason I do not like to play against them is that almost every SW player plays a very similar list (in my area) and has no character to their lists. Most of the SW players I play against also have completely grey models which gives their army no life or character. Also the obscene psychic powers that the SW dex has.

But even with the power of the SW dex, Vulkan still manages to beat them 99% of the time!

That is poor from the players because Space Wolves are a character centric army that should stand out because of their characters.

There are only so many ways you can outfit Thunderlords and Rune Priests.

They all bring the characters. But most of them time after time use a proxy for powergaming.

I see this more in the SW dex than any other dex in my area. As I said, I may use a Vulkan list, but I have the model and even have some cool fluff for my chapter. I try to give my army some character and most of the SW players I go against have no character.

Not to mention the obscene psykers coming from a chapter who don't really like them anyways. Living lightning, JOTWW, and murderous hurricane have screwed me too many times.

Marines, just on account of playing them so often, and memories of younger players with unpainted/unassembled armies which were simply no fun to play against.

Always had a bit of a fear with playing against Nids though - not because of the rules (although I think maybe some of it is a hangover from how disgusting they used to be in 2nd edition), but just because I don't like to imagine my little men on the tabletop being eaten or melted

It was a toss-up between Daemons and Orks, and Daemons won. Being a Tau player, fast assaulty armies are a real pain.

Vanilla marines are actually among my favourite opponents. I like space wolves as well.

I really hate playing against Chaos ANYTHING. As soon as I think I have them figured out, they pull a new trick out from nowhere.
At least, that's been my experience.

Tau as they are always played the same by everyone I have ever seen play, moreso than any other army I think at this point.

Chaos Daemons. By themselves as an army they are boring to me. I can think of several far more interesting army options deserving their own rulebook in the fluff.

Daemons are only fun for me because of the randomness of their entrance- it brings a llittle life to a fairly stale army.

Eldar because falcons and fortune seer councils just don't die

My fav's are any kind of power armour army because they are so typical.

Vanilla SM where the only units are Tac in a rhino x 1 billion.
Each one loaded out the exact same, there is no diversity no difference just completely the same.

It gets boring quickly.

One time I beat this layout, the person complained that he won on KPs. In the entire match I tabled him (all units destroyed, none ran off the board) and he killed off 2 Broadsides shield drones, 1 Helios Crisis suit and 1 shield drone off my commander. I was absolutely speechless, I asked him to justify it and all he could say was "Cause I obviously did, look at the table" to this day that boy thinks he beat me.
