Any models out there that just drive you nuts to paint?
For me, it's the same model over and over again that really gets me, but if I had to pick I'd say Goliath juves. You'd be surprised how much detail is on these runts!

Yes,I'd have to agree.
While I honestly love the painting aspect of the hobby, the repetitiveness of painting up 120+boyz (not including Nobz,Burnaz, etc) did become a bit..maddening.
I would imagine the same is true for any "horde" army.

Atleast with Boyz theres some variety in the models with the details and stuff. Now nids have to be a nightmare to paint.

*Ouch*..very true...I can understand why "dipping" has become so popular with alot of Nid players.

DE wyches for me. The models are just so fantastic I know going into the project that my lack of painting skills means I won't be doing them anywhere near justice.
And that rankles.

IG gunteams. The guns have a lot of obtuse edges on them that don't highlight well. On top of this, I always lack the foresight to paint the gunners before gluing them on the base.

Hey me too! Problem is, there's so many it just gets boring after a while. I also have quite a few vehicles to finish in a very similar colour scheme.

I have to paint marines for a day, then orks, then vehicles for both, then dark eldar, then my Gereon resistance force. Then I take a brake and play Starcraft 2 until my eyes bleed.

Chaos Terminators. They take me roughly 4 hours to do, and while I'm painting, I have to look at the crappy sculpting n the legs....It's murder.
Other than that, the Metal DP. It's really heavy, and parts of it are impossible to get to without grappling the model.... I bought mine 9 months ago, and have yet to finish painting him.

Base coating the trim on marines is boring and takes tediously long to do nice and neatly, but I don't want them to just be one color all over. Once I've picked out knee pads, wrist bands, shoulder trim, bolter housing etc for 3 or 4 of them I am bored and wanting to go back to the more sloppy earthy types of figures where blending and shading do more of the work than even solid colors.

for me its a toss up between PA marines, and my Nids (who are getting a "new" paint scheme once i figure it out, which makes things worse)
I also have over 100 guardsmen, but their scheme is so easy that, except for the eyes, i can do a whole squad in about half an hour.

The metal Psykers have been pretty boring for me atm, but they're not the worst...
Hrm, I'm going to go with Deathwing Terminators simply because the way I paint them is time-consuming and mind-numbing.
But vehicle-wise it's got to be the Land Raider...
And yes, I too know the pain of painting 100 guardsmen
:-/
Really enjoying painting Eldar atm, time-consuming but refereshing!

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
