I'm looking at you soda pop.
I get it, sex sells and all that. We are by and large a male community, and driven by male boob seekiness. Just feel like a bit of a vent as I've been looking at a few minis to paint up. There's some awesome models with some awesome details that would really challenge me. Problem is, they only cover 10% of the mini. The rest is boob. It seems like such a waste. Some of the models have excellent proportions, ruined by little or no details beyond a massive pair of whappers.

If anyone has any good suggestions for sensibly attired female forms, then please post a link. Getting a bit sick of overemphasised male anatomy and want to try some different skin tones on a relevant model.

On the male wych attire, one of my gaming friends is running DE and is in the process of painting up a unit of Zardoz wyches (if you haven't seen the movie, Sean Connery in a funky banana hammock, go go boots and freaky mask). Hopefully he will see this and post a pic.

I regard SP minis the same way I do about 90% of everyone else's stuff. I ignore it. It isn't there.

Infinity has some good females in Sci fi gear and weaponry while still showing curves, I don't think any of them are wearing just underwear.

I have to admit I'm a big fan of Soda Pop, because there are far too many mini companies picking over the same stripped carcass of ideas. Orks and zombies and elves and guys with big guns are a dime a dozen. So are girls with big guns and bigger cans, but the style is unique. Anytime you can look at a miniature and tell which company or sculptor created it, I think that's a good thing. They have their own unique style.
That said, Infinity has some amazing minis that are feminine yet still wear as much armour as their male counterparts. Give them a shot.

As for the boob thing. Look at your local gym how many girls just wear a sports bra? becuase its comfortable for them. Its not like you can just slap the same flak armor on a women and expect it to be comfortable.
HOWEVER, I do agree in terms of looks some of the female models just look ugly, I think the SoB could use a re haul...now someone hide me from the angry mob >.>

Not to mention all the pop media knockoffs. Just in the past 10 days I've seen new releases for not-Beholders, not-The Shadow, not-Chestburster, not-Kickass and not-Kim Jong-il. It's no wonder everyone in the industry jumps in the air whenever someone waves a C&D around. Most of these people would starve if they couldn't use other people's ideas.

Not a very well thought out comment. Women can wear body armor just as effectively as men.
How many modern female soldiers and police officers do you see patroling in a sports bra? None, they're wearing uniforms and body armor.
As to the OP,
I like my female figs to look like they could kick ass without having to worry about falling out of their clothes.
Some sources:
As mentioned above, Inifinity and Hasslefree (Kev does kick-ass and ass-falling-out models) have good examples.
Reaper Chronoscope has a few. I have the Rosie Chronotechnician. A good fig with options for wrench or big gun.
Privateer press makes some good examples in the Warmachine and Iron kingdoms line.
Lastly, on the cheap end of things, EM4's Future skirmish and Mega Mini's Salvage Crew lines have good examples of female figs who aren't in danger of wardrobe malfunctions.

You saying that Soda Pop are unique because their models are not pop media knockoffs? As in the company with the range cloned from famous animus? Hahahaha, that's funny. Because of stuff like not-miku hitsune and not-saber, they are just as guilty as anyone else. And, to be honest, these companies are just cashing into what they know sells, just like the ones that the spam cheesecake minis that make up half of all miniatures ever. Tits and sci-fi/fantasy references. Because most of the Wargaming Community is made up of sad, lonely nerds.
