Hello all, this is my first proper post on Dakka Dakka so apologies if there's mistakes.

This is my attempt making my own Bjorn the Fell-Handed or Venerable Dreadnought, I say or because I'm not sure if he's worth the points and my budget is tight for models.

I'll start by saying I've not tried to keep to Bjorn's lore, just made this up as I went along.

So I've made this model mostly out of the Ironclad Dreadnought and 2 Imperial Guard Sentinels, its surprising just how much of it just comes together, there are a few odds and ends like old light plastic bits from my original Ultramarines years ago, some guitar wires and some bad greenstuff. Anyway I'll show my progress up until now sorry for some of the poor quality shots:

Mostly being held together by blue tack, getting an idea for it, Cerberus missile launcher counts as smoke launcher or missile launcher.

Added an extra set of legs to cope with the heavy front, scratched the shoulder flamer for an under chest one.

from the other side, also, cupcake!

Added a collar from my bitz box.

The beginnings of the head lower jaw is 2 sentinel chainsaws, upper jaw is ironclad hunter killer missile pod and old vindicator dozer blade I think.

Top of the head from sentinel cockpit.

Added leg armour from an old Land raider kit I think, weapon covers.

3 eyes to replace the gaping holes at the front inspired by Karikuri Guard dog. Note my awful green stuff skills and the first of the interchangeable weapons pinned to his back.

Overall up to this point.

Cables for the back of the neck...

...and Back with multimelta(?) backpack...

...and finally tail made from a Dreadnought chainfist, if I could have, it would have been half fur half mechanical tail, but I cant greenstuff it.

Final image with everything on at an orks eye view.

That's it for now, don't be afraid to criticize or give feedback, that's what I'm looking for.

Having trouble figuring out where to put the ears though given that the weapons hang over his head so low, especially the lascannons not pictured.

Thanks for looking.

Wow, looks so goofy and yet so awesome at the same time. Reminds me of those really generic late 80's/90's cartoons involving robots of some type

Really creative. I am not a fan of anything spacewolfes but your doing a great job. Are you going to paint it up with space wolves colors or do something different. Just curious.

This is awesome. I love where you've put the missile launcher, the rear legs look wicked, and all the cabling is great.

Maybe a spotlight for the nose.

Great job!

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone!

@rubirub - Yeah now you mention it I think your right, I think it's because he only has long fangs on his upper jaw, perhaps a smaller row of teeth behind will make it less goofy more vicious.

@sennacherib - I haven't given the paint job much thought really, My Space Wolves are too blue rather than grey but I think I will take this down the grey route, ideas welcome.

@tipios - Thanks, I originally put the front quarter of a storm bolter which had it's barrels drilled out to look like deadly nostrils but it just looked silly, trying to find something to fill the space instead, the spotlights I have are a bit too big.

I will have to take a peek at the tutorial section and brush up on my painting skills, wouldn't want to mess this up. Paint job ideas and tips welcome, it's my weak point.

That is really awesome! It reminds of something from Voltron or Zoids. Only criticism is that the lower jaw needs to be a little more full. Something should go in the middle of the two saws.

Thanks I did play with that idea at the start before I built the head, those fangs also make good tusks! Or the ones from the Deff Dread.

Well here it is, 8ish months later. University took up all my free time so I didn't have time to finish it back then, I actually finished this about 2 months ago but then my camera broke but I finally have a new one,so good in fact that it shows up the defects and dust that's settles on it after sitting on my shelf. I went with a darker grey for this one as i wanted it to be different.

All the weapons are interchangeable except for the missile launcher which "counts as" a smoke launcher when not needed. All of the parts that make up the main body of this are available in the ironclad dreadnought kit and 2 sentinel kits, there are some bits and bobs from other kits like a devastators backpack and a cloak from the SW kit. I think my green stuff and painting let this down a bit but I'm still really happy with it, still needs the odd tweak with things like those balls on top of the lascannons, going to green stuff them into targeting sights.

Might as well shove the other odd thing I worked on recently here too:

Vulwulf, the Wild Long Fang:

Because one missile launcher isn't enough he decides to tear off the hunter killer missile launcher from the rhino that carried him and use that too!

Along with a wolf skull servitor to sight targets:

These images show up so many little problems that I cant spot while looking at the real thing

Imperial guard: Because quantity has a quality of it's own.

Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.

After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right.

Deadshot and Mr.s Baldrick: Thanks!

Progreen10: Yes they are similar, when I first started it I thought it hadn't been done before but I've seen at least two others. The rear legs being bolstered with a second pair were inspired by that image, though mine is no where near that good.

I absolutely love the dreadwolf... amazing job. (but it needs ears... just doesn't look quite "wolfy" without them)

I would consider adding a part to connect the two chainblades of the lower jaw. It looks a little thin and wierd now, with just two big blades sticking out. But still, beautiful!

@Gitsplitta: Thanks a lot, I agree about the ears, I could most likely add them but then they would get in the way of the weapons (especially the lascannons), unless they were big floppy puppy ears or something...

@Deadshot: I did intend to have a gap there but now that you mention it, it does look a little off. I'll mess around with the left over bits, see if something could be done, thanks for the feedback.
