Im sorry but that was hardly sexist. Dumb maybe but i dont think sexist. Tbh it sounds more childish then anything else. "herr durr drink not for girls, boys only" *beats chest in a manly way*.

No need to be glum about some disagreeing opinions. I personally disagree with your interpretation of the commercial as sexist, but that doesn't make your opinion any less valid or not worth hearing.

Definitely could have been considered sexist at one time or another and I'm 100% sure they've gotten a letter or two. I think when it comes to sexism there is a big difference between "Not for girls" and "girls can't do X." The latter seems to be the one that gets you in real trouble.
Dr. Pepper sucks anyway. Dr. Pepper got his doctorate in suckology, with a minor in blowistry, and is now doing undergraduate work in business classes. Heck that doctorate came from the official Blowniversity of Suckistan, and he just barely passed.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

My blog
I would say most shampoo commercials are not sexist. Specific target audience kind of thing there. And I cant remember seeing a shampoo commercial that has explosions, annoying "tough guy" one liners and an ending that literally says "NOT FOR WOMEN"
Id lighten up a bit more, if it didnt annoy me so badly. I think thats what gets me on this one. To me, it basically says "guys are stupid and simplistic, and only like guns, blowy uppy things, and definitely NO WOMEN ALLOWED markers" Which, I do love guns, and I also giggle when things get blowd up real good, but who doesnt? My wife loves those things as well.

I'll second that its really annoying!
Also, my post wasn't in response to yours, yours appeared while I was writing mine. It was more of a general, lighten up and learn to laugh at yourself comment. Just to be clear!

It's a bit sexist, but the worst thing about it is that it's just a crap advert. If anyone was going to pay any attention to it, it might stir up a bit more controversy.
"Hear, hear", is a shortened form of "Hear him, hear him", which was made in reaction to and affirmation of a speaker's statement.

FWIW, the Dr. Pepper reps I know say women have been buying this Dr. Pepper way more than men (something like 75 to 80 percent). Even now I spy a bottle the Mistress picked up. It's apparently working.

This is a very good point, if you tell someone THIS IS NOT FOR YOU they are considerably more likely to go and buy it.
