The lovely weetyskemian44 suggested that someone starts up a thread for everyone to show of their first paint job (or oldest paint job).

So I'll kick off with a zombie I painted about 20 years ago.

Cool idea for a thread, but if we're going to be including unbased minis, then it doesn't belong in Showcase.

Man, my first paint job is long, long gone. But I suspect it'd be a High Elf from the early 90s Warhammer Fantasy box set. I had some pretty ugly Wood Elves in my main army over the early years, though.

well here are my very first minis... not all painted with GW brand paints as sure one sees... all painted around 12 to 10 years ago... of course no primer was involved... just big lumps of paint slapped on the mini...mind you...one coat of white^^

the minis in the first pic are from a german based roleplay called the black eye...and the tabletop variant of this rpg called armalion...

the second pic shows some old GW minis...and too an armalion lizard man...kind of...

The elf was actually my second I believe, the first being a dwarf fro the same range, painted almost exactly the same. He may have got brown pants rather than gold lame though

Hard to recall for sure, but I reckon the other fellow was my first SF figure, had a little scooter/gun thing, which I think I may still have somewhere.

My first models I painted when I was about seven years old... I never took any pictures of them. I am sorta glad since they were literally just drenched in regal blue paint and had their shoulderpads painted gold. The boltguns were caked in red. When I found some of the minis 'n' stripped them, it was like they had the touch of Nurgle... Nobody ever took the time to teach me to paint, see... and I just totally lost interest in the hobby :(

I came back to the hobby three years ago, though, and this was my standard then, a fair improvement, but still terrible since thinning paints meant nothing to me:
