That's OK, I can wait

I hope you win this poll! I think you deserve to, although it's possible your results will be split between the Mortis and Crusader.... so everyone vote for the Crusader

Thanks guys!
I have some well-deserved completion for best vehicle… there were some great releases by some very talented manufacturers.

As far as the Kickstarter project, I expect to receive delivery on or about the 27th and will be filling orders for all the Kickstarter participants… then I will list the figs for sale on the website ASAP. Just wish I had some skill painting to give them a proper introduction

All the best!

Looks like he is having some issues...

From TGN:
""**Updated**

Hey guys,

As posted up on the main page, there has been some technical difficulties with the polling system and I am working to fix that. Not all of the nominations were entered and this has caused some serious confusion with the awards. I am working to fix this and post up all of the nominations to be voted on.

Sorry for this confusion and thank you for your patience.

Ross"""

And this

Hey guys,

For those of you that went and checked out the polls for voting last night saw that there were nominations missing. I am working to fix that problem and make sure that all of the nominations are available for voting. Then the voting process will resume next Monday!

Thank you for all the entries for the Reader’s Choice awards, and for your patience.

Ross

Still a W.I.P.
Here is one of three troopers for the "heavy" trooper class. The soldier is clad in full power armor and wielding a quad mount machine gun. On his back is an auto-loader system to reload his main weapon as well as a massive power supply for his armor.
There will be three heavy troopers…. More to follow….

TGN has nominated the Leviathan Mortis and Crusader for best vehicle 2011.

Hmm, very interesting heavies! The helmet design does not seem to match very much with the regular however though it still looks good on its own!

Second heavy near completion.. this one has a light AT gun

Here is the close combat specialist (wearing commanders plate with fluting and a more medieval style helm. (VERY ROUGH) used for posing before detailing and working out any issues. He will be armed with a power sword and an auto grenade launcher.

I could use some feedback....

Would you like the fluted style armor on all minis?
Do you prefer all minis have the helm that the close combat specialis is wearing?

Is there anything that you love about these or anything you would like to see changed?

The design queues are more from the Leviathans on these minis.. hence the jousting style helm... I will offer them with a more Stahl helm option for those that prefer the WWII look.

So, the new mini's would be more of a "counts as" Space Marines, right?
Either way, nice looking so far!

I know one poster said the opposite but I like the helm and armor of the close combat specialist Waaaaaay better! He looks pretty darn cool so far

The others are not bad, but I think the armor/helm of the last is much more inspired (and much less generic-looking).

At gun guy looks great! He looks perfectly suited to wielding such a large weapon.

I would like to see what the regulars guns would look like if they were underslung because they look a little odd atm.

Wow, those heavy weapons troopers look awesome. They fit in really well with the crusader, but aren't really all that visually similar to the marines. I like the CC specialist's helm as a command helm. I think the others look fine as is.

This is one area I have rustled with.... the similarity between troop types.
I tried to fold in visual cues between the troops. Here you can see a comparison, the chest details such as the gorget “neck guard” the imperial eagle on the chest, details on the shoulders, the med pack dispensers (round projections lower chest ) etc., were cues I hoped would help tie them together.

They are not supposed to be enlarged versions of the same armor, in the same way that GW, SM and IG do not share the same design. I had hoped that they at least look like they belong in the same faction. If they don’t, then I have failed

Here you can see the optional Stahl helm that may help tie it together. I prefer the jousting style helm for this armor but I know some may not, and as many people tend to be drawn to the head and face, I thought it best to include this option for those that prefer it.

Ok, I can see it a bit better now. There certainly are similarities. I'm sure a unifying paint scheme would help even more. I think for me it's more to do with the curves and the angles of it all. The marines are a lot more rounded and organic, whereas the heavy troopers have a lot more hard angles in the armor, throughout the design. The iconography definitely goes a long way into tying them together too, and the weapons all definitely look like they're from the same family.

All that said, they certainly don't look incompatible. There's really nothing between the two that's really clashing. I like both the helmets for them, and you're right that the stahl helm really ties them back in with the marines in a big way. I think it's cool that they're so distinct with the switch of the helmet, actually.

Still very excited for the whole line. I'm looking forward to buying some when I'm able.

Tied and gagged in the back of your car

Loving the heavy infantry. The fluted helm looks okay, but I'd keep it exclusively to the close combat guys. Also really like the look of your standard helmet in the suit.

I'd buy a box of those guys right away if they were in resin. They'd look to make fantastic Inquisitional bodyguards. I opted to not buy your basic infantry (regretfully) because they were metal.

Is there any chance that the infantry will be released in resin or plastic in the future?
