Damn that paintjob is amazing! The NMM is freaking good too, honostly thats one top end model.

Now, im going to guess he is a DA captain in terminator armor? Otherwise wouldnt he be bone colored? Just a thought thats all.

The fluff nut in me doesn't like that it's a DA Terminator not in Deathwing colors, but the paintjob is incredibly well done. Your response to DODcrazy's post seemed confused, so here's what Dark Angel Terminators are usually painted like:

My only problem with the figure itself is the lack of basing. It breaks my heart to see a mini that nice on a boring black base!

Man...that is a stellar paint job. Legit skills you've got there. Super clean, smooth, looks fantastic. I'd love to see you're bone color one when its done. Can be a somewhat tough color to paint (for me, but that's not saying much), so I'm excited to see what you can do with it!

Yeah, it is one thread. There is another person showing off their Dark Angels works, using a very similar thread naming... i.e. Dark Angels blank...

Fluff aside, the painting is great. The NMM, especially, is absolutely brilliant. The soft gradients and range of shades in the color modulation almost make this model feel larger than it actually is - it's just so hard to imagine getting something that small that smooth!

I think I actually prefer the green scheme to the usually bone! Makes a nice change from the norm, especially when it's done this well!

Whole squad please?

Need more 's in my life!

I like this model alot. Great painting and nice color.

But I would like to see some battle damage and at a minimum a fully painted base for a 'done' model.

More orks and Dark Angels in the P&M section. Feel free to leave a comment, trash it, cheer me up, lurk or : http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/423220.page#3790852

So you mean you'd like to see a "done base" as the model is done as you say.!

Yes something like that. But to clearify: Top score on the paintjob Just saying that in the 'showcase' forum I think you should have finished the base as well.

Aaa i get what your saying but my intention was to have a plain base as to draw all the attention to the finished mini and not be distracted from it so what better way than a plain black base..??

It's nicely done, but the nmm needs a little more contrast between the dark and light points; it just looks like nicely shaded brown imho.

Same goes for the armour, although it looks like you've used an airbrush which i think always gives a fairly flat finish. Some edge highlighting would really make the armour 'pop' a bit more.
