I'd like to know what units bring a sweat across your brow when you see them on the other end of the table. And maybe we can make a list from across all the codexes that is the most fearsome list of all time.

HQ - Bloodthrister (Chaos Demons)
Elite - Vanguard Veterans (Imperial Guard)
Troop - Genestealer (Tyranid)
Fast Attack - Ravenwing Support Squadron (Dark Angels)
Support - Dreadknight (Grey Knights)

Tyranids 3000 points
Dark Angels 500 points

Well I'll just list some stuff that definately I want to adress when I see them hit the table.
1. Doom
2. Furioso
3. Long Fangs
4. DCA
5. Swarm Lord
6. Mephiston
7. th/ss termies
8. SM Libby with goi/vod can be such a pain if ya don't kill him off
10. Eldrad
Theres other things that can kick ass with the right general but regardless of whos running these things they always need to go asap.

The enemy of my enemy is a bastard so lets kill him too.

I do think we should stay away from named character because after all what is a named character but a badass and ultimately overpriced version of another unit.

I am going to seriously say here that the most unit to be scared of is probably the Baneblade, or Leman Russ demolisher. All round very versatile units who can work at countering almost to all armies.

Ok I'll accept the Leman Russ Demolisher but, not the Baneblade that's Apoc.

Ichor-Dripping Talos Monstrosity

People seem afraid of my Talos',even though there's ultimately bigger threats bearing down on them.

For me though, I tend to not be worried by most things, being DE ignore armour over 12 and could care less about your toughness.

That said, I guess anything with a blesed hull is going to make me sweat a little.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I have 6 Leman Russ Demolishers in my Army and boy they punch through infantry based armies like a rock through wet toilet paper.

Telion/Vindicare. I hate it when they pick out my commissars and make my men run away.

Dreadnaughts/Walkers. They get in combat with a Guard platoon and tie them up forever.

Wraithlord/C'Tan/T7+. Basically anything that can't be wounded by Str3 is really annoying to face.

I don't see Nobz, Thunderwolves or Paladins on there. Kinda surprised at that. Of course, Vindicators work wonders against all three. Actually, Wraiths and Scarabs belong on this list as well, especially if you're playing vehicle heavy.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Interesting I really don't have to much of a problem with Leman Russes but. it appears a lot of people say they require attention.

Why are people scared of Imotekh? Aside from his nightfighting and hardly reliable lightning, hes sort of overrated.

Full Necron court, all 5 lords and all 5 crypteks (one of each discipline), is something that rankles fear. Mind you the unit when it is kitted out at such is a small army's cost itself, but works as an insanely hard to keep down unit

Schrott

more annoyed then anything else. when you play IG long enough.... you get used to things dieing.

deepstriking melee units that can go through tanks. usually. but when they pop up i turn around and call upon a firing squad to send them back into orbit.

otherwise i can't think of anything id be afraid of. I usually have somethign to counter it.

I used to be "afraid" of a Biotitan i would see in an Apoc match. eventually i got myself a Shadowsword (my first super heavy) specifically to kill it, but the apoc series kinda peetered out before i could deploy my tank against the insect menace.

As a DE player, probably Purifiers.

Power armor don't give a gak against poisoned shooting, Halberds make Wyches cry and all the high S shooting makes them a bitch to deal with...
But they're really only that big of a deal if they're en masse, basically, a Crowe list. The whole idea of 'isolate and neutralize the big units' doesn't work when that's all your opponent takes.
