I remember all the nay-smiths saying GW was gonna shut it down, but it's looking pretty hard to do if black library writers are getting into it. I love the Coteaz model, so I'd be happy to watch this movie. Looks promising. I eagerly await.

out of interest was him being onboard something GW suggested.... if so theres some hope for them yet ;p

The animated banner ends with 2013 so guess they are still working on it....

Is this for real? The only reason I ask is because the original founder of this project is from Germany, yet the flag for the OP states the US......anyone else smell a fish?

Its for real, the links are all correct.

I wouldn't read too much into the Flags on Dakka. There are multiple cases of the flags getting screwed up and no one can figure out why.

The movie is still in progress, in fact the entire story is being re-worked since ADB joined. On that note ADB joined on his own and does not represent GW or the Black Library in anyway. We have been given the go ahead by GW but they will not be supporting the movie in any other way.

The team for Lordi has grown beyond the original creator, Erasmus, and now includes a whole host of writers, animators and others located all over the world. I am a member of the Community Management/PR team who are responsible for the promotion of the movie and am located within the United States.

We will be updating this thread with more info as it becomes available, so expect to see new screen shots, story updates, etc. here or you can follow us on our Facebook page.

Also the projected completion date is sometime in late 2013 but since it is fan made and being worked on between real jobs and such there is always the possibility of it getting pushed. The PR campaign has started now since there is no longer the threat of GW shutting it down and more resources and time can be put into it.

I second that! I was pretty disappointed with the movie that GW did on their own and your clips look 1000x better than pretty much every scene in that debacle. Maybe that's why they finally gave the green light to someone else!

Is this movie going to have multiable races on it like eldar or orks?

if it does not have multiable races it still looks pretty mean, it is too bad really that there is not a high demand for Warhammer 40k movies

Guess he means the one officially LICENCED by GW: Ultramarines.

Yeah. GW's participation in that movie was essentially cashing the cheque they got from Codex Studios.

This is simply unfathamable.

I'll be the first to say that when it was originally announced a good while ago, I immediately discounted it as a project doomed to failure - a graphics artists created some nice models but would give up once the enormity of the work required for an entire movie becomes aparrent.

For such a coup to get ADB and now have a team working on this; the movie could be a steaming pile of poo for all I care - I'll still be astounded since I've never heard of something this being achieved...

Keep in mind that Ultramarine had Abnett as script writer, and it was a shameless plot copy of Aliens (and not much of a plot anyway). Hope ADB does a better job.
