Well! we need to discuss Infantry units in 40k games that can be as powerful as Superheavy vehicles like Baneblade, Land Raider, or Imperator Titan and here's the examples of Infantry that needs as strong as Superheavy Vehicles: anyone with Kryptonian-like Superpowers should as powerful as Imperator Titan when they are put into 40k Tabletop games

what do you think?

you can suggests more examples!

No, we really don't need to discuss infantry units as powerful as gargantuan creatures and super heavy vehicles.

The closest thing to that would be the Primarchs, and the Emperor. Proposed rules for these characters already exist in various forms across the internet. Other than that, if you want a super heavy vehicle, just use a super heavy vehicle.

There's already the Vortex Grenade. Anything infantry-sized that isn't an immensely powerful Psyker shouldn't be anywhere near the powerlevel of a Titan.

Maybe not entirly infantry, but C'tan where supposed to not be much larger than an ordinary human if wanting that shape. They could be regarded as the most powerful infantry for they are well... beyond the charts. True C'tan would be a little bit, like this =

WS 10
BS 10
S 10
T 10
W 10
I 2D6 (result 11 and 12 count as 10)(They can take it at any pace they want.)
A 10
Ld --
Sv 2+ inv, with a re-roll on any failed result.

Powers = You are allowed to invent them on the spot.

They hate the warp: Any psyker units on the field will be main targets, C'tan have preffered enemy versus these units.

they cost = 20000p

If you want to have fun making up funny rules, thats fine.

If you actually want to play with those rules, totally unbalanced. even for appocalypse.

A true power C'tan for use in game would be more along these lines.

C'tan: 1500 points

WS7, BS6, Str6(8), T8, W8, I5, A5, Ld10, Save 3+/4++

Unit Type: Variable, see below(character)

Special Rules: Fearless, Preferred Enemy(Psykers),

Necrodermis: The Necrodermis each C'tan is encased in allows them to mold their shape to fit their whims. At the beginning of each turn, you may choose to have the C'tan alter his physical form.

The C'tan may change his unit type to any of the following, replace the C'tan model with an appropriatly sized model. The C'tan benifits from all rules related to the specified Unit Type while in that form in addition to the following rules.

Infantry: If this form is chosen the C'tan gains the Independent Character special rule as long as he remains in this form.

Monstrous Creature: The C'tan gains +2 Str while in this form.

Beast: The C'tan gains +2A and the Independent Character special rule while in this form.

Immune to Natural Law: C'tan are complete masters of the physical universe. C'tan have the Deep Strike special rule, ignore all terrain penelties, and may even move through Impassable terrain, although they may not end their move inside impassable terrain.

C'tan Powers: The C'tan may purchase up to 4 powers from the list in the Necron Codex.

Yeah Old C'tan now should equal the new C'tan, they were WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY underpowered for what a C'tan should be.

Perhaps, but old Ctan shouldn't have been on the tabletop at all, the only reason they were on there was because the necrons had no special characters.

the only good thing about 5th edition necrons is: their special characters, so they don't need C'Tan anymore on the tabletop

...C'tan were always a massive point sink that made it easier to get the Necron player to Phase Out, you know. The cheaper ones in the new Codex actually have some semblance of being useful.

And I don't see the point of this thread. Infantry models represent people; people in the Warhammer 40k universe aren't as powerful as tanks, let alone super-heavy tanks. The Emperor? Remember the time he nearly got strangled to death by a puny WS5 Ork Warboss and Horus had to come save his ass? Horus? The Emperor killed him, remember? The Avatar? Didn't Marneus Calgar beat one in single combat once? Phoenix Lords? I do recall Karandras going down in hand-to-hand against a mere Space Marine Dreadnaught in one of the novels. The C'tan? Their puny mortal servants managed to defeat them, and you expect them to be able to handle super-heavy tanks on their own?

Point being, a man is not the equal of a super-heavy tank under any circumstances. A man can kill a super-heavy tank (especially if he has a thunderhammer and/or void grenades) if he has the advantage of surprise and weapons specifically designed for cracking key systems, but he's not going to be able to take it on in a straight-up one-on-one fight.

The only time I recall a man-sized creature standing up to a super-heavy and not dying in the background is probably the incident where Eisenhorn sicced Cherubael on a Chaos Warhound Titan. If you really want to come up with rules for a particularly powerful unbound Daemonhost, try taking one of the Gargantuan Creature Daemons out of Imperial Armor (Scabiethrax, Zarakniyel, An'ggrath) as a guideline for stats/power level. And specify that they can only be taken by Chaos, giving Grey Knights that kind of Apocalypse-level killing power is entirely unnecessary.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

This is the problem we have...
IMO for game balance nothing on an infantry base should be as powerful as a super-heavy...

You keep saying that. We have characters, we have tanks, and we have superheavies. Powerful characters have powerful stats, and powerful tanks are just that.

And stop with the superman thing/Imperator titan thing. Its just...silly. Please, stop posting these silly threads about rules that aren't rules or even remotely serious ideas that can be improved upon. Spend some time reading some of the well done fan-dexes and rules created by regular members here. Learn from those threads about game balance.

There are a few characters that can or could solo a superheavy a smaller one at least. There should be no character that can solo something the size of a CITY that can walk and has more fire power then a Full Army of soldiers. There are descriptions in the books of Guard companies killing emperor titans by shooting them with a whole artillery regiment for more then a day.
