Imperial Fists for me. Home base is nearby and I like the idea of getting to blow things up that the bad guys really don't want to be blown up.

Salamanders would come in a close second due to my latent pyromania.

None. I like my RP character's fictional existence as a beloved harem member of a powerful yet kind xenos psyker on a planet fitted with FTL engines which don't use the Warp to escape the Imperium's wrathful grasp.

This is Grimdark.
All you've done is swapped 'a violent and painful death at the hands of some cosmic horror' for 'a different violent and painful death at the hands of some cosmic horror'

Like that demonic toy I brought home to play with! : D

That toy now stays in the "not-for-fun" dungeon which is reserved for very very very very mean people who do bad bad bad bad things.

lol - We're all getting killed.Thinking about it being nobility means its not a bolter shell from a chaos marine or an ork bullet that'll get you, it means you're FAR more likely to end up in a torture dungeon, like Pouncey alluded to.
Look up what happened to Kasimir De Valtos.

In other news the Alpha legion are winning with 29 votes.

Sorry, thought I made it clear that I'm talking about my fictional RP life. I talk about it like it's real because if I talked about my real life, it'd consist of, "I sat in a chair and typed on my computer and played some videogames while watching TV. The highlight of my day was when my friend came online and I got to type affectionate words to him. Some days I go shopping for Warhammer models."

Unless I was talking about my schizophrenia. But no random people online ever believe I actually have it anyways, probably because they figure no one would talk about it openly due to the stigma. Then it might get more interesting, but the meds and therapy have helped enough with the symptoms that all those stories would be years and years old.
