....And the Checkered Flag is waved!!! And this epic 2month long (almost) race has come to and end!! Who will win??!!

-To ALL contestants: Congratulations for taking part and finishing the first ever Bebop Painting GrandPrix! You all have put paint to brush to model beautifully and am honored that you donated your time to such an event. You all took the spirit of this on going series to heart and challenged yourselves to paint outside of the box, to push and try new things. Truly, this is how we better our art. Just as i suspected, what a wonderful display of color and creativity we have here, all spawned from the same simple model. Great Job EVERYONE!! A few of you, i was not certain to whether you had uploaded your final pics or not so i did you the honor of putting what you had shared with us up. ((Zambro, sadly i did not find anymore than 40% percent progress pics from you so i was forced to leave you out of the running. Next time my friend))Also, a few of you had uploaded pics to other sites and linked em here, i had to re-upload those pics to dakka gallery here and can be Found in a separate folder in my own gallery, clearly stating that containing pics are not my work.

- Now the nitty gritty. Judges and fans alike assemble. Below is the consolidated display of all the Entries from the now closed competition thread. From here on out, direct your posts and comments here please. Judges please use these below pics to do your judging. Fans and onlookers, please show your support and appreciation for these wonderful artists by expressing your admiration through comments and affection!!! MORE IMPORTANTLY: CAST YOUR VOTE FOR FAN FAVORITE COLOR SCHEME!!! SEE BELOW

- FAN FAVORITE COLOR SCHEME: This part of the competition is separate from the rest in that it concerns you the viewer. Please participate in our poll by choosing your favorite over all color scheme. However, please understand, THIS IS SIMPLY ABOUT COLOR COORDINATION AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH APPLICATION AND PAINTING SKILL. I know it may be difficult to seperate the two, if you must, imagine each model, painted by your favorite artist, using each color scheme. Whatever you must do to distance yourself from each artists ability level. This is a separate award and meant to honor the contestant that in his minds eye came up with a fantastic color scheme (camo included). The award of this category will receive a sergeant model painted by me.

Great work from everyone. The sheer variety in entries is pretty stunning given the same base models was used for all.

I have to vote for Minus. I used that exact same color scheme for my IG in Dawn of War 2. I am not even kidding.

Thanks for putting on this competition, I'm looking forward to the next one. It's actually motivated me to start painting again. Usually, an upcoming 40K tournament would motivate me, but I'm so disappointed with the current rules that I needed a different spark.

This is very inspiring. Sad that I missed out!

I may have to try to emulate Weety a little more on my cloth work.

Nice display we have here !
I like to see all those versions of the SAME model. So great.

Good luck to the judges, 20 entries might take some time to look at.

You know minus, I think you might have the "favourite colour scheme" in the bag. And deservedly so too I'd say. That pink and purple... Mmm that's sexy.

Nice to see all the entries back to back! There's a lot of great ideas and I really like being able to see all the variation in paint schemes. As I'm still trying to sort out the paint scheme for my IG this contest couldn't have happened at a better time.

A tough choice...
Everyone did a great job, but personally I found the schemes by Minus, Weety (both entries) and Nerdfest the most appealing to me.
I wish I could take a part in this comp...

It seems like I missed voting for best scheme, but I really liked the pink and purple of Minus. The colors really pop, and it isn't one you see normally for a uniform.

Everyone did a great job. I kind of wish I would have painted up a spare guardsman I had laying around.

Whew. OK. Dang. Guys. SORRY! I basically have been busier than ive ever been in my life and i chose to end this comp in the middle of a jazz festival that im prominently featured at. I can promise this is not the norm for me as far as future contests go. Also, compiling the numbers and my own data really took a considerable amount of time, split between teaching masterclasses and concerts and breakfasts lol. And Beer....and shots. >_< ehhhhh. OK enough blabber. RESULTS ARE IN!!!!! im listing the scores for everyone in the order from 1st place to last place. Please feel free to ask us judges the details of your scores, here, so you can find out more. The rubric was quite extensive and theres alot to each number listed. For the record, San was the most generous of the judges, Whale the middle man, and myself the harshest critic. For example, I gave 0 points to a few of you in the category of "Execution of advanced techniques" for the fact that there simply were no advanced techniques, even though the model was nicely done. A simple freehand design generally got you a 3. Anyway, much more can be said about these scores so hopefully there will much to discuss. The scores below are the total points of the 3 judges out of a maximum of 255 points (+3 for judges favorite).

AS FOR THE RESULTS....ERRRREEEEE WEEEEEE GOOOOOO!!!!!! VROOOOOOM VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOM::
