No... It was never gonna be, being a Forge World model not a Games Workshop one.

Interesting. I would like to know what "Unstoppable" does and why the wording is "No cover saves" instead of "ignores cover"

This silence offends Slaanesh! Things will get loud now!

Ten fething wounds? on a T9 model? FW no one will take that seriously on a 600 point model.

It's going to mix things up a bit for sure... but who here is actually going to buy and field one?

A Tau player in my local club is already ordering one.... And he is thinking about making it two.

This thing is broken beyond belief. It is not a Knight Titan, it is a full blown Titan and yet it costs barely any more than a Knight would.

I don't even have a Tau army yet and I'm considering getting one at some point. Just because of the model more than the rules, but I'm not complaining about the durability for sure.

I thought it was supposed to be a Warhound titan equivalent. Something you would hopefully never see sub-1500 points. I just thank Mork that none of the Tau players at my store would ever play something like this below 3000.

I guess people will find something they hate more than Riptides when they play the Tau TFG.

Forgeworlds initial experimental rules tend to be pretty dumb, give it a few months and expect it to be toned down significantly.

Yeah I expect T to drop and/or points to increase when the actual book comes out. These rules were probably rushed just to get people playing it so they can hear the response.

I actually like the rules, it fills the position of mobile artillery piece very well as was intended. Only 2 attacks at str 8, no special movement aside from moving through cover. Get it in close combat with an assault squad with a power fist or character with double str weapon and it will go down. You just have to get there.

At 2.5 or 3k I can see one of these forming the center of my base of fire with Broadside on the other two ends of the deployment zone. I will pick one up after I finish painting the 40 or so vehicles, suits and troops I already have left unpainted. Seeing as one squad of firewarriors or suits or a vehicle takes me about 2 weeks, I figure I have some time. By then the next IA book will be out and hopefully have these rules finalized in it.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

Not all powerfists have str 8, some have str 6. with high T and +4inv vs shoting it is unkillable for an IG army. Tau players are going to be happy.

Good statline, nice shield, cool overwatch ability, underwhelming firepower. Expected 3 S: D large blasts and blast firing modes for the arm weapons. melta one is too short-ranged and the ion one can be substituted by 4 riptides. And it's a GMC, while I'd rather a SHW.

A nice centerpiece, but could be better armed (and toned down a bit in its statline)

AI & BFG: / BMG: Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke / Battletech: SR, OWA / Fallout Factions: BoS / HGB: Caprice / Malifaux: Arcanists, Guild, Outcasts / MCP: Mutants / SAGA: Ordensstaat / SW Legion: CIS / WWX: Union

I feel bad for Tau players. First new FW shiny in years, and you're automatically TFG if you order it.

As a Freakshow player it doesn't frighten me personally, but if I get pinned into a competitive event where freakshows aren't viable, this would definitely give me fits.

It's not experimental, this is it.

Also, it's a GC, it can stomp and your power fists are wounding on 5's, he gets a 5++ and then a 5+++ FNP for being a GC. You're not taking this thing out quickly unless you're thundercav.

So what with Tau we are looking at a 7" Blast that will probably Ignore Cover?

I think the biggest problem I have with it, is BS4. No telling what that might involve for the new Tau Codex.

I guess the question we should ask now is what would you rather play against? Wraithknight or the KX139?

If its on FWs site, its experimental, even if it doesn't say as such. FW is not beholden to the rules it publishes for free on its website. Hell, they're not even beholden to the rules they publish in their books considering how often they revise them.

Already beaten to the punch, but I think it is a cool model, luckily where I play no one really uses forgeworld. But on a side note does anyone feel like it somewhat resembles a mega blastoise.

Guys, that thing is Grav Bait, its 600 points, and while it puts out a lot of Dakka, it is almost less durable than the Wraithknight, as its not gonna be getting a cover save. Kat Destroyers will wreck this thing.
