Ever since reading about the Dies Irae's in Storm of Iron I have always wanted to create a Legio Mortis detachment for my Iron Warriors.
I started with a warhound a while back but after picking up the knight renegade box i've really decided to sink my teeth into this project.
So brace your self for all sort of disgusting super heavy action.

Plague Reaper, the Warhound that started it all.

Start of the first knight, armour texture is done with a ball cutting bit for the dremmel.

main work done on the first knight, lots more little green stuff details to go though.

Completelty missed the rules for renegade knights in the renegade box.
Its a shame they cant take demonic marks but the ability to take two avenger gatling cannons kind of makes up for that.

Nurgle conversions are the best way to improve, just poke, prod and pull with different sculpting tools until it looks gross.
It's hard to go wrong.

Just got word that my Reaver has shipped from forge world, so I'm pretty excited for that. Annoyed the Brexit has made my British passport pretty useless for traveling round Europe, not so annoyed to get $200 nzd off a reaver. Got 2 meters of green stuff coming to tackle the corruption of that beast.

The renegade knight box is such a good deal I had to get another ordered in to my FLGS. Plus the logical number of nurgle knights is seven, it just makes sense.

I have to be honest, this is really inspirational stuff. Love them, if I may offer some critique and can take it with a grain of salt, the barrel on the battle cannon seems a bit over done etc etc. Maybe make it more unique kind of like a signature work? I'm talking amongst other Nurgle done Knights.

I got them from a local craft shop, the brand is solid oak inc, you might be able to find a local supplier on their site.

Yeah i'm thinking one will make it into a list i've been playing with using the purge detachment.

Feedback is always welcome and honestly the battle cannon bugs me also. I'm not quite sure what you mean in terms of fixing it but plan to do more work on it before painting.

It takes about 10-15 mins to go over all the armour plates.
