Unstoppable Bloodthirster of Khorne

thanks to H.B.M.C. for finding the new pics
Apologies if this is mentioned in the general 40k thread, but as it's a boxed game (new starter set alongside or replacing Dark Vengeance??) it should probably get it's own thread anyway.
Update: It's clearly a new starter set - what with the 40k rules included and all - with pretty much what works out to be the contents of what would be:
Start Collecting: Deathwatch
Start Collecting: Harlequins
Plus rulebook, extra DW accessory sprue, formations, scenarios, etc. No idea if it fits alongside or replaces DV yet.

Warhammer 40k Death Masque retails for $150

12 Harlequin Players
1 Death Jester
1 Voidweaver
2 Skyweavers
1 Harlequin transfer sheet.
208 pg 40k Rulebook with special Death Watch Cover (think softback mini rulebook)

Why is Eldrad Ulthran leading a group of Harlequins? If there ever was a good reason to re-release plastic Guardians, it would be alongside Ulthran.
Plus, doesn't Ulthran have a Coven of Isha agreement with the Deathwatch? Why are they fighting?
I bet the Deathwatch are going to drop-pod in, kill the already "dead" Ulthran, slay a couple dozen Avatars, and then bro-fist some Necrons.

Which isn't used that much. Eldar xenos, Deathwatch exists to hunt down Xenos. Top of that IoM and Eldar aren't on the same side. They can fight together for sake of convenience but are just as likely to fight against when their goals don't match even temporarily. And it's not that illogical IoM to use their specialized anti-xenos unit when fighting against xenos...
Also deal is between Ulthwe and _some_ members of ordo xenos. Other member says "screw those filthy xenos for standing against our rightful right to dominate the galaxy!"
And deathwatch being military arm of ordo xenos is not that likely to disobey Inquisitor who says "attack these xenos as is your job"

Because BUY THESE COOL MODELS!!!
...which will 100% work on me. I'm down for 4 boxes, baby. I've loved the Harlies since RT, and thought the DW was cool since the WD they were introduced in, and was sorely disappointed when the third Inquisition Codex which should have included them was a no-show.

It looks pretty, goes on pre-order this Saturday and UK price is £95, which when you think about, the Deathwatch side (based on rough estimates) are about £130 alone. So tempted but I really need to show some restraint!

I'm only really interested in Watch-Captain Artemis, since DWO has me covered for the Deathwatch goodness. Will probably snap up a deal on eBay for him. That and I regret never having bought him in 54mm. Not interested in painting motley. Far too much messing about for my liking.

The independent parts are about 465 Canadian all together, assuming Eldrad and Artemis are 30 each, and the Deathwatch box costs the same as a box of Sternguard.
I'm guessing the box is going to be 180 Canadian? I mean, that's what BAC was, and I think it's 150 US.

@OP
I got the same email and checked it out on their website. I was very tempted to pre-order a box because I am currently looking for something completely new to do for 40k ( It has become extremely boring for me lately ). I am tossing between ordering it now and waiting 2928475 weeks for it to arrive (Slow seller...ive used them before. Unless you go through ebay where they post asap due to ratings, but charge higher prices) , or waiting to see what its like here in Aus.
My only wonder is how much do you think it'l be Aussie ? If its about 98GBP and about 150USD , the rough conversion would put it about 200ish but knowing that GW prices are never a literal conversion of currencies, My guess will be a solid $280 or so.
What do you all think ?

I've used DGS in the past. They used to be great, but their speed of shipping and more importantly, standard of packaging have severely dropped over the years to the point where I no longer bother with them - so I just use other sellers now. There's a ton of them between Amazon and eBay, and a lot of them are cheaper to boot. We know the local price will be horrid, and the best local prices (Black Cultist) come with the guy being a turd to deal with. Poor attitude and gakky service - and with his time to ship (which is a separate issue to the gakky service) and higher prices than overseas anyway, he's just not worth dealing with at all.

The only thing new on the Harlequin side is Eldrad, and whether he can be taken as a Harly HQ beyond the formation that will be in the box I have no idea.

It looks like the same one to me, just turned a bit so we're looking at the stone arch from the side.
I would love some alternate sculpts, but I don't think this is one.

With how much people are salivating over the Spess Mahreens, at least I'll be able to pick up a bunch of Eldar stuff for cheap off Ebay.

i think you are right...
too bad my original three metal DJ's are so skinny :(
new guy is a much more intimidating sculpt...
the originals are still great models, though...
plastic Eldrad is gonna be good...
the new plastic characters have so much more dimension to them, the way they are cut to enhance the use of negative space gives a lot of flow and motion compared to the old metal sculpts...
it is only a slight improvement over the classic Jes Goodwin sculpts, but it makes me happy
cheers

Eldrad will be expensive as every Eldar player will want one. The vehicles reasonable and the Harlequin Troupe will be cheap as chips. The basic Harlequins are the worst plastics GW has released in a long time. They look like a team of basketball players against normal Eldar, the Haarlem Craftworldtrotters,

New SM plastics, including lots of new weapons!! Well that isn't something I expected.
I wanted more new Eldar than just Eldrad. Typical really.
